I had believed that these procedures were just expensive treatments that women paid for to feel better about themselves, but did not do much in terms of improvement. At the prodding of a friend, I went to NUR Skincare. I was absolutely blown away by the results. First, let me describe what I got. I received the 12 step Hi-Tech Facial. This included TCA peels, microdermabrasian, enzymes, vitamins, oxygen, serums and red light therapy. I also had electrosurgery (not as scary as it sounds) using a hyfrecator which zapped dark spots on my face (that scabbed and fell off days later). Lastly, I had the keratosis pilaris on my upper arms treated with chemical peels and microdermabrasian. With all this being new to me, I asked a ton of questions. Anisa proved to be incredibly knowledgeable and talented. As a business owner in the health industry, I was impressed that the modalities she practiced are supported by science, technology and real results. After only my second treatment with NŪR Skincare I saw very clear, very obvious improvements in my skin texture and pigment. I continue to go for maintenance every other month. My skin has NEVER LOOKED SO DAMN GOOD. When my best friend saw my results, she was so impressed with my post treatment appearance that she booked an appointment immediately. And that works too if you plan a two hour commute and get there usually in 45 minutes to 75 minutes to at most 90 minutes. Then wait and be glad your there EARLY. LATE AS 15 minutes and they cancel your services. Also the CO2 LASER IS A MIRACLE. The Botox administered is alright - better than most administrators of the cosmetic injectors I have found in Chicago and suburban areas of Illinois. It just doesn't seem to last as long as I'd like it to. Filler I have not yet tried. Be nice super nice because it helps if you decide you want to try adding on a service that day or changing your services. They do accommodate on some rare occasions but it's still worth it to be as calm and nice as possible and follow their regimens. Dr. Olivio diagnosed me with IBS which isn't even close to what I have and prescribed me medical that was extremely expensive. If I had continued to see her, my health would have suffered. She was at least 30 minutes late for every single appointment and when I did see her, she was rude and unsettling. Not to mention, this is the kind of doctor that grabs and pushes and clearly doesn't care if she hurting you. Every time I talked to her, it was like going back to square one. The doctor is not present and for someone in the industry of care, I never felt that kind of care. This place has no business practicing medicine. Go there to have your nails done, don't go there looking for a doctor.

I guess I should've confirmed this but when I specifically requested her I assumed I would automatically be booked with her. I was booked with Jessica instead. When I arrived at 12:25 she greeted me at the door and immediately took me to the facial room. Her consultation was very quick and brief. We began the facial at 12:35 and she was finished by 1:22 so I did not receive a full hour facial. Any skin issues I mentioned to her she just repeated back to me when she was examining my face. I would've liked if she had walked me through the facial process step by step. Everything she put on my face was a mystery. The massage wasn't the most relaxing. My neck was tense the entire time. And while masking I just laid under the infrared light while she sat behind me silently. Almost every facial I've had elsewhere I have received a hand or scalp massage while I masked. Also the music was absolutely horrid. It was not relaxing spa music. It was more like boppy coffee shop music during the entire service.
