Also I felt they tried to rush with my treatments making them only 4 weeks apart so I had to argue with them because I felt my hair grows slower.

The Botox administered is alright - better than most administrators of the cosmetic injectors I have found in Chicago and suburban areas of Illinois. It just doesn't seem to last as long as I'd like it to. Filler I have not yet tried. Be nice super nice because it helps if you decide you want to try adding on a service that day or changing your services. They do accommodate on some rare occasions but it's still worth it to be as calm and nice as possible and follow their regimens. AS SOON as I went to another doctor, they were able to diagnose me and help me with immediate results. Dr. Olivio diagnosed me with IBS which isn't even close to what I have and prescribed me medical that was extremely expensive. If I had continued to see her, my health would have suffered. She was at least 30 minutes late for every single appointment and when I did see her, she was rude and unsettling. Not to mention, this is the kind of doctor that grabs and pushes and clearly doesn't care if she hurting you. Every time I talked to her, it was like going back to square one. The doctor is not present and for someone in the industry of care, I never felt that kind of care. This place has no business practicing medicine. Go there to have your nails done, don't go there looking for a doctor.

I should start off by stating that I've never written a review before and that I'm new to Yelp. But I've been coming to Lapiel for the past 6 1/2 years and I could not be happier with my experience. When I started University, I decided it was finally time to do something about my unsightly facial hair. And after much research it looked like Lapiel was going to be my best chance at having clear, hairless skin, something that always seemed like a fairytale to me. During my first visit, the Nurse Practitioner, Catalina, was very knowledgeable, kind and informative. She made me feel super comfortable and also relieved because she set up very realistic goals for us. Normally, I would have to wax probably 1-2 times a week if I really wanted to remain hairless. So I was aware that I had very thick, very dark, coarse hair. It was no surprise to me that I would most likely have to have treatments done more than the typical 3-6 (one every month). And Catalina informed me that our best treatment option would be to hit the area once a month for 8-10 treatments before we could start spacing out the treatments, and I was definitely ready. 3 months in and I could already tell a HUGE difference. I mean, I had been waxing twice a week, and now all I had to do was make it to my monthly appts and it felt great!! About 6 months in I was virtually HAIRLESS. My entire face!! Clear!! Smooth!!! I could not believe my eyes. The results far surpassed anything I had envisioned!! More than 6 years later I'm at the point where I can just quickly make an apt whenever I feel like my skin's not as "smooth" as I'd like, which is about 2-3 times a year. It's also important to note, after seeing my results my mom joined me. She wasn't as hairy as me, so she gets to show up once a year and is set for the entire rest of the year! Everyone has a different experience, but if you're at all considering taking the next step in your 'hair removal' journey, I cannot possibly recommend Lapiel Laser Center enough. So unbelievably relieved to have found a medspa where I can not only do laser hair removal but also that sells my favorite skincare line (Eminence Organic Skincare woo!) I've lived in Nashville, San Diego, San Francisco and have tried medspas all along the way - none compare to Lapiel. First of all, it's very clean as a medspa should be but most I have gone to I found lacking in the cleanliness department. The medspa or laser centers I've tried in other locations had really unfriendly staff and I always left feeling like they could have cared less about me as a customer. I also felt like other places didn't really explain the different laser machines options they offered and it was all a little stressful seeing as how expensive these treatments can be. I can't say enough about Catalina the nurse practitioner who treated me. She explained everything she was going to do before and during the treatment and even has a methodical way of ensuring she doesn't miss any hairs which I really appreciated. She didn't rush me out of there and she let me badger her with a million and one questions. She was honest about how many treatments she felt I needed which is a rarity. Other places I visited were so pushy with buying more treatments and paying upfront. She actually recommended I see how my treatment goes before purchasing another package (wow.) The place itself is really cute and I love that it's near the L. All of the girls that work there are really sweet and helpful. It's been 6 months since my last treatment for pesky chin and neck hairs (yikes) and I couldn't be more excited about the results. Also had previous treatment for armpits which I now NEVER shave and legs which I almost rarely shave. My new boyfriend even commented that I have "no leg hair." He doesn't know I have LaPiel to thank for that ;) Haven't yet tried the facials but it's definitely on my list now that I know they use all the delicious Eminence products I can't get enough of. read more

I have been seeing Catalina for almost two years now and what a great two years it has been. I would never go to anyone else, ever. She is always 100 percent professional and super friendly. Her pricing is very reasonable and she does a really thorough job. She always goes above and beyond to make sure your results will last. I have only been back twice in the past year for touch ups and it feels so good! She will not take your money and do a crappy job like those hair removal places on Groupon. Her clients keep coming back because they trust her; her office is spotless and calming; her assistant is always friendly and efficient; you can totally tell that she cares about her clients. I seriously can't think of a single criticism. She has also done Botox on my forehead. I love the results and I find that if I keep it up, I have to get it done less frequently. She also has Botox specials and you can enroll in a program to earn points, eventually earning discounts. I always walk out of La Piel feeling so good about myself. My experience at Lapiel Laser Center was nothing short of wonderful! I was greeted with a friendly smile from the woman at the desk and was shown to a cozy room to fill out my information before my facial began. My esthetician Olivia joined me in the room to go over the steps of the facial and any skincare concerns I had. I've had a few facials at other spas and med spa but this was by far the best one I ever had! I received the Eminence Organic Facial and I'm 24 hours out and still glowing! I've been bothered by the blackheads and congestions in my t-zone but Olivia took care of that with minimal pain and residual redness. Wonderful caring place. Catalina explains all sides of the procedure. My face is younger than 15 years ago. Think I'm kidding I'm not. I had lines filled in when she used to do juvederm it still holds up. Twice a year skin tightening on my face and neck and my face has not sagged the way my brother and sisters have. Skin tightening is my key to a mostly wrinkleless face at age 57. I haven't had Botox either. I'm sure I'd look even better with it but I'm happy with 15 years of their skin tightening regularly. read more

I got the Personalized Facial with a complimentary skin consultation with Xia. And it was so beyond amazing. This was by far one of the most intensive facials that I have ever gotten and I loved how much attention to detail Xia had throughout our entire session. During the initial consultation, we talked about my skin concerns, she looked at my skin to identify any trouble spots, and we talked about lifestyle factors that may impact my skin development BEFORE we even decided on the treatment itself. Once the treatment started, I'll be honest, I don't remember much because it was so relaxing. The only part that I remember was the pain from the extraction and in those moments, I truly understood what people meant by no pain, no gain. But I appreciated how they took the entirety of the hour to prep and walk you through each step of the facial. Overall - phenomenal experience. I then saw Dr. Horn and he said that he would try different things to see what could be done. He started several injections during several months and finally it was completely gone after say eight months. He is very conscientious and thorough and has a caring personality. I have complete faith in his knowledge and expertise. To top it off, I read some of his wall diplomas and he knows a lot more than just Dermatology! There are several issues like having a credit card on file, that if one thinks about it, is for a good reason. I have never had to wait long on hold or had any other kind of appointment trouble. Dr. Horn loves his job and is someone you could go to have a beer with; he shows he cares about you as a person, not just another patient.

I've always found the associates to be really helpful. I've also ordered a few times online and found the process to be really easy and they are delivered quickly. Only negative is that their lot is valet only. There is street parking but it's on a busy street.
