I took my car here for a oil change. They charged me 65.99 because they say they automatically performed regular checks to make sure everything is working properly. I was okay with it, since I was just happy to have a Mazda dealership service in Modesto. I waited for over an hour at the waiting area with no update, when I finally walked up to the guy Malachi at the front desk and asked how much longer he said the car has been ready and he was going to update me that they are washing it but he was busy. I was okay with it, I understand if they are short staff. He than started listing things he said there mechanic said that needed to be done, I said okay until he said " also the mechanic said your AC is not working " I cut him off and tell him that's wrong because my AC was working just fine when I dropped off my car. I got in my car and my AC wasn't working at all, like not working not even on no air blowing period!!. I told Malachi who was the front desk, he drove my car than came back and said the AC isn't working and he's master mechanic said it wasn't working . I told him that is a lie because my AC was working when I dropped it off and it was working when he's mechanics drove it into there service area so someone is lying. Malachi kept telling me that the person who worked in my car was there master mechanic and he's been a mechanic for years and he knows he didn't even touch my AC. He than continue to offer what he apparently thought was a favor to me, is that I pay them an additional $140 for them to run a diagnostic on my AC to see what's wrong. It was that point I lost it, I argued and I made a scene to the point where Malachi called his manager. After allegedly speaking to his manager, Malachi came back and tells me he's manager said they can see what's wrong with my AC and AGAIN, he made us seem like he was doing me a favor. Like it wasn't there fault. Not even 10 minutes of me waiting another gentleman came back and hand me my car keys. He told me that earlier when they were doing regular check on my car , they accidentally unplugged the wire connected to my AC which caused the AC to not work. But the re plugged it back and my AC is working just fine now. He apologized for the mistake. I got my keys and was walking out and I hear Malachi say " Have a good day". Like he wasn't earlier trying to convince me that it wasn't there fault my AC wasn't working and I need to pay $140. Now even though my AC was fixed and I do appreciate the guy who gave me my key apologizing for the mistake and then correcting the mistake. What doesn't sit well with me, is that I had to argue, raised my voice and create a scene for them to agree to check what happened to my AC. If I hadn't created a scene, I would have to pay an additional $140 for them to run a diagnostic on my AC that they caused to not work. Obviously after reading this you know I will never go back to this place. That day was my first and last. Worst service and they came off as money hungry and untrustworthy. read more

Not recommended to any new buyer there are not respect you after you bought the car. I had bought a car and it was Saturday night and they asked me to come back Monday morning so they clean my car and I did that but the same time I found my new car get hit in the back bumper and I asked them for replacement or return it as their mistake and I had Met the stupid sales manager Angel and he was so unrespectable and it didn't help at all and I start filling a complaint with the state attorney General and also the better business Bureau also I opened claim with Mazda Motor Corporation to fix my issues. read more

We went there on a Friday night at 6:30 PM we test drove a vehicle, we were told by Josue that they were closing at seven so the finance guy had left for the day however he took information and told us not to worry because he would hold the vehicle for us. The next morning, he wrote us and we immediately responded and stayed in constant contact with Josue about the process to apply for the car. Once he responded and sent us the credit application before we could even complete it he said the car had been sold to somebody else. At Modesto MAZDA, Josue Lopez was super chill and patient and didn't pressure me at all. It helped that already knew what I wanted and knew what I was willing to pay. If a dealer doesn't expect a potential customer to shop around s/he is a fool. So, when I asked the dealer, whose name was one of the archangels in the Bible, to match a competitor's price, here was his response: 'Yeah unfortunately we are at our rock bottom price. Exactly what I was saying would happen has happened. Its easy for another dealer to beat our quote by a little bit since they have zero invested in their time with you. We are a new dealership and have spent millions in our local community to serve, and a outta of town dealer just wants to steal our business. We're talking about 750 over the life of your lease, I do understand if that's more important than your tax dollars staying local and employing local people. I wish I could compete with the other dealer but unfortunately I can't. Thank you for the offer, and enjoy your new vehicle'' WHO TELLS POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS TO PISS OFF LIKE THAT?!? I bought my pre-owned certified 2016 Mazda 3 back in July from this dealer and recently took it in for an oil change and tire rotation service. All of the employees there made it so easy for me from their great customer service skills to their awesome communication. I had heard a slight knocking noise and they diagnosed the problem within twenty minutes and had the part on it's way. They set me up with a great, clean rental car and called me as soon as my car was ready. I can't say enough good things about my experience with Mazda. I have enjoyed great service at Modesto Mazda in the past. The customer service from Malachi has been awesome. In the pastIi have made an appointment, and a few times had to wait, even when i made an appointment I had to wait. Malachi never has tried to make me insignificant. When I showed up this time I decided the wait with or without an appointment were about the same. I was the first person there and did expect that other people would be assisted before me but I was in no hurry so no problem. I was checking in and the service rep proceeds to announce that he would be helping the young lady behind me because she had an appointment an he has to assist them first. I undersrand, but dont you think it would have sounded better to say, "Sir we will be servicing your car as soon as the appointments that are here are completed."? When he completed with me he assisted her. The conversation was a bit more jouyous with her. I expected him to thank her for her patronage of Modesto Mazda. No, not even a thank you. Just allot of bantor and school girl giggling. See what happens when you have always been given superior customer service by Malachi and someone else fills in. Next time I'll check if Malachi is working. If not I'll wait or go to Elk Grove Mazda for my services. It was just a rude way of starting my day. read more

My very first Brand New Car was a Mazda 626 LX that I bought in the late 80's. That car was the best car I've ever had, and I've had several other makes since then. Recently, our little utility car was on it's last legs so we started looking around for a replacement and checked out the Mazda CX-5 along with several others. I'm obviously partial to Mazdas so we headed down there last Saturday to check it out. We met with Natalie who was extremely knowledgeable on all the features (and I asked a lot of questions), patient, and very pleasant to deal with. I really liked the CX-5 Signature but fell in love with the CX-9 Grand Touring (more room) so that's what we went with. One of the things I love about Mazdas is how many high end features come standard on many of the models. They were very busy that day, so we were getting a little impatient at how long it was taking to get the paperwork done, but the sales manager jumped in and saved the day. But, what really earned them five stars was a couple of days later when we were out driving and the Sirius XM disconnected. Since we were close by, we stopped in the dealership, and not only did Natalie and the sales manager come right out to check out the car, but three other people did too! Literally five people stopped what they were doing to help us. It turned out to be a Sirius issue, not the car, but they hopped on Sirius customer support and got us fixed up within a few minutes. I was so impressed with he customer service that day, really impressed with the sales transaction with Natalie, her Sales Manager and the rest of the crew, AND I love my car and am so happy to have a Mazda again! read more

I went to buy a used Mazda 6 on Friday and what a great experience. We had travelled from Sacramento since they had the exact car I was looking for. Josh Coon was an amazing used car representative. He greeted my wife and I and led us to the car we were wanting to see. He, along with Angel Chavez pointed out the highlights of the car, the background of its history and the wonderful technology it had inside. Josh took us for a test ride and it performed great. It was pre-certified so it had a 172 point checklist that the service department had ran on it. Once we left, we had a great feeling it was a very dependable car and would run well with no problems. After going through finance with Vance Lee,he made it simple without any high pressure tactics. Vance was very cordial as well as Angel. At the end, before we left, Josh sat with my wife and I in the car. He set up my I phone with the Bluetooth setting, ran over the electronics on the steering wheel and dash. We asked quite a few questions about the car and he answered all of them. It was a really pleasant experience at this dealership. It's nice to have such a reliable place in Modesto. We will be back again if we ever need another car. read more
