This was one of the most unprofessional dealership experiences I've had and I wouldn't recommend wasting your time here. I listed my vehicle on Facebook Marketplace and clearly disclosed that it is currently leased, as I was exploring a lease buyout. I was contacted by someone claiming to be an employee at this Toyota dealership who said they were actively looking for used car inventory and strongly encouraged me to bring my vehicle in for an appraisal. To be cautious, I verified that he actually worked there--he even provided proof of identification. I also made it very clear, multiple times, that my vehicle is leased. Based on that information, I took time out of my day to visit the dealership. When I arrived, I provided the two names I had been given, and they took my car for about 20 minutes to inspect and test drive it. After waiting, I was told they were "not aware" the vehicle was leased and therefore couldn't move forward. At that point, the situation felt not only disorganized but misleading. I had clearly communicated from the beginning that the car was leased, and the person who contacted me had every opportunity to confirm whether this was something the dealership could actually handle before asking me to come in. Instead, I was encouraged to make the trip under false pretenses. It felt like a bait-and-switch tactic to bring customers in, along with a clear misrepresentation of their ability--or willingness--to handle lease buyouts. I understand that not every deal will work out, but being brought in under misleading circumstances and having my time wasted is not acceptable. This reflects a serious lack of communication and professionalism. If you're considering working with this dealership, I strongly recommend confirming every detail upfront--or better yet, save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere. read more

Was an alright experience at first, salesman talked me into what I wanted. I wanted it but I didn't need it. Didn't really go over the contract "options" which is my fault I take responsibility on that but I tried to cancel that "optional" contract but they made it a hassle to cancel. It's been over 1-2month since I told one of the finance manager that I wanted to cancel that contract I signed the formed but not sure if he sent it or not because it hasn't been reported in my account. Once it affects there commission they don't try to help you as much. Wish I could give them a better review because it's my local dealership but I'll go further out for a better experience. read more

Everything up-to-date doesn't need brakes doesn't need tires doesn't need anything. Has just under 70,000 miles We were offered a crazy number- as if this car had no features, it was a base model I've worked for five dealerships in the last 20 years mostly as a finance director .this blows me away that a manager that's sitting behind a desk is still trying to buy cars back of wholesale- trying to explain to me the algorithm of how they buy cars how the market changes every few days, etc. Very simple go find one of these at 300 miles distance.You might find one or two of this exact car. The only thing simple was to walk across the street get almost $4900 more which we sold that the vehicle. Then, of course we went back to the Modesto Toyota to show the manager who won't get off the chair, our buyers order from their Neighbor store. He explained all the new technology available, as well as new updates to models and the features that are available. His great understanding and explanation made the car feel more comfortable and welcoming than just a hop in a go test drive . If that make sense . The vehicle we originally wanted happened to be in route to the dealership but had not been delivered. So we asked him for a favor, can you please call us when the 2026 arrives on the lot so we come see the new design and see how we like it . We left the lot with the intention of returning within a month or two to get the new model. So we left our number with HIP HIMSELF, which was the best decision to call me asap as the new models are sought after . Within 2 hours of originally visiting the lot HIP CALLED US BACK, we have a delivery truck here and it has what you're looking for ! They offered us some really good prices as well and decent interest rates ( prices are not negotiable) but the interest can vary depending so we made sure to get the lowest apr possible and the deal was inked . Walter from Toyota Modesto was an amazing help. First, when I arrived 2 weeks earlier, he helped me get my desired model shipped (after the $1000 deposit). Then, today I was able to meet with him again and talk to him through the whole process from start to finish. We were able to happily and calmly negotiate the removal of some extra warranties and fees I didn't want. The final price for financing was very close to the advertised price (basically, adjusted for taxes and some fees). Once all the paperwork and down payment was done, he helped me take some nice pictures and connect my CarPlay to my phone. Edit: I reached out to them and I'm taking off a star because I had to go to corporate for any sort of help. Kevin just said my shop was deceptive even though it's very reputable and they're the ones showing deception, and then ignored me. I came here after returning a lemon to carmax to buy a used Highlander. I love my car and it's definitely not a lemon which I appreciate. But there were a few cons. My appointment took over 2 hours, which is the longest I've experienced. Also I had my trade-in car valued at 3 places, Lexus (trade-in for used), Kia (trade-in for lease) and Carmax (trade-in for used), and Modesto Toyota gave me the lowest offer of them all. They did raise it a bit but it was still the lowest. It's disappointing because they said they are known for giving great and fair offers, but obviously that wasn't true. I had to accept it though because I drove 2 hours away to get there. They didn't go over the fees with me or let me know the warranty isn't part of the price. I had to learn that later. They just gave me a monthly number in the office which seemed decent. They had plenty of time to go over fees with me. That's not transparency. Finally, I wish they would have done maintenance on the car before selling it so I didn't have to pay another $1k on it right after buying it. But it's a lovely car! read more

Don't bother scheduling service with this place. I arrived almost 30 minutes early for my 1140a service appointment and I asked if they'd be able to work on my car early, because I have to wait until it's done. Then they asked if I knew what tires I wanted to buy - and somehow in their system my confirmed "routine maintenance" appointment was showing as new tires..... Got that sorted and they said it would be 90 minutes to 2 hours. Okay. Not early then. Bummer. A little more than 90 minutes later, I've just been told the next available tech will work on my car. THAT'S A FULL HOUR PAST MY SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT!!!!!!! Now I looked at my service ticket - and the "promised time" commitment wasn't anything like 90 minutes to 2 hours.
