Summer Seared Ahi Salad
Melanie C.

Delicious quick, healthy lunch! Fast casual spot that sells bowls, flatbreads, and salads. Really yummy, fresh ingredients and great portion sizes. A little pricey for lunch at ~$15 a bowl but ingredients are definitely high quality. Tried the ahi tuna summer salad and a customized salmon bowl with Mac and cheese/sweet potato. Both were delicious but the ahi tuna salad was especially good! Service is quick and plenty of seating.

Wednesdays are our eat out or takeout night and we ate at Mod Market. We ordered a flat bread and a salad to share with a glass of red wine. It was all so good. Interesting flavors made for a delicious surprise in the Street Corn flatbread pizza. Wow! The mix of cheeses, jalapeño and chili pepper was a delight! The Summer Seared Ají Salad was fresh and not overly dressed. We had enough left overs for my husband to have lunch tomorrow and I would do this combo again.

Garden Salad w/Chicken

I guess it's "healthy" but.... My chicken was extremely dry. The restaurant was pretty filthy. I wanted a healthy salad and I'm giving the fresh veggies the only "stars" in my review. Disappointing visit. Doubt I'll return.

Very good fresh food. Prices are very reasonable. Most selections seem fairly healthy. Vegetarian/Vegan friendly.

I like mod market for breakfast or lunch. The chipotle steak is delicious. I will definitely be going back when I'm around Boulder.

Our first time visiting The Buff due to the positive recommendations. That always worries me…read morebecause the expectations are set high. We were greeted by a great hostess with an excellent sense of humor. They were able to accommodate our party of 7 at a round table that still had plenty of elbow room for all of us. Our server, Michelle, greeted us right away and provided recommendations on their coffee and drinks. She was energetic and fun - we loved her genuine interaction with us! The food came fairly quickly considering they were nearly full. I chose the cinnamon roll French toast (chef's kiss!!) and hubby had the basic breakfast. We shared our meals so we could each have something sweet and savory. My niece had the Heartland Skillet and said it was to die for! I don't think there was much on the menu where you could go wrong. And bonus - they offer a breakfast cocktail for 99 cents with an entree order. You can get up to 3. This is an excellent choice for brunch (service and food!) and we will return next time we are in Boulder!

Sorry in advance for the lack of photos. That often happens when I'm starving!…read more We are from out of town and this looked like a fun hole in the wall. It was busy when we walked in and all the tables were full and then we were offered outside seating which we didn't know they offered. They have three tables outside and it was nice in the sun. The menu has a nice selection of typical breakfast options. They also have burgers as I saw one walk by on its way to another table. Service was good even though we were outside. Chicken fried steak - 8/10 - this was one of the better ones that I have had. The hash brown potatoes were crispy and delicious and the sunny side up eggs were cooked perfectly . Oatmeal - 6/10 - hard to have amazing oatmeal, it was fine Pancakes - 7.5/10 - these were light and airy, yummy, and huge (they were the size of the plate) This is a great place to frequent.

It's an old school diner, one of my favorite vibes and the portions were HUGE...! My wife and I I split a vegetarian omelet and two pancakes for breakfast. Couldn't come close to finishing...! I will definitely be back the next time I'm in town visiting my cousins!

Outdoors can be nice in the morning during summers under the umbrella - otherwise, can get really hot in sunny spots by afternoon. Cost: $$. Not cheap but not expensive. This is my favorite restaurant of the thousands I have eaten at in my lifetime. The eggs Pontchartrain and the eggs sardue are traditional and off the charts. It was my first time trying Cajun/Creole food and not to sound dramatic but I feel like I have been opened to a whole new world. My party orders: beignet, Shrimp po'boy, biscuits and gravy w gumbo, gumbo, and eggs Jennifer. All were solid items and we cleared our plates. If you're having trouble choosing I would recommend that gumbo. I'm not sure if it was the rainy day or circumstances but a bite of that gumbo felt like a warm hug. The interior was cute too, like a house. There was an upstairs waiting area with AC which im assuming is used during the summer wait time. I will definitely be back here, typing out this review has me drooling.
