Giving this place 4 stars because it was a quick and delicious bite we were able to factor into our packed, tourist schedule. We visited at 1pm and they were steadily busy but able to keep up with demands, delivering the made-to-order subs/sandwiches within 2-3 minutes of placing our orders. If you're considering visiting Subway, next door, pause and make a turn into DeliZone instead. Price is comparable, taste is not. read more

Breakfast sandwiches are great. Grilled cheese no. Fast ordering. Preparing takes a little longer than fast food but not too bad. Two of the fountain drinks are out today. Tables are usually available for eating or waiting but some are cramped. Not really an eat in place though. Outside picnic tables are usually empty. Prices are fair. DeliZone serves delicious sandwiches and the food does not disappoint. Good variety from classic Reubens to basic PB&J. For 20 years I have been enjoying quick and hearty sandwiches from The Valmont Store. I recently visited DeliZone in Gunbarrel. The service left much to be desired and overshadowed the quality of their sandwiches. Upon entering, I was greeted with indifference. When placing my usual order of one large and one 5" sandwich, the cashier tells me that they have never offered a 5" sandwich. A quick discussion about the 20 years I have been purchasing 5" sandwiches from another location and if he needs to charge me for a medium that is fine, just make it smaller. It's not even about the money, my wife will not eat that much and throw the leftovers away. Nope, can't do that and a strong insulation that I am lying. The manager quickly comes over, rings up the order as placed and problem solved. Apparently, ownership has changed as the manager tells me she is also the owner. I hope she hires better front-line staff, as the guy at the register doesn't have the temperament to be dealing with customers. In summary, this deli does make a solid sandwich. A bit more focus on customer service would undoubtedly elevate the overall experience to match the quality of their sandwiches. When they make mistakes with my order the owner refused to acknowledge it and got into an argument with me no matter how nice and soft my tone was. Refused to rectify the mistakes and even insulted me By throwing a sandwich at me. I've been coming here for a long time regularly and never asked for anything and she said she never liked me. This place is ridiculous , shutting the grill Off 30/45 minutes before close , you close at 4pm not 10pm I don't care if it's "hard to clean" it's part of your job , we all have work to do. Sometimes out of the blue they just don't open , the younger edm type kids that work here are great , attentive and fast , the older Asian men are lazy and incompetent , the old woman is my favorite she's a treasure and should be there everyday. I have been going to numbers of the Deli Zone locations for over 15 yrs. However the sandwiches are thinner than ever and the prices keep going up. There is no weight to their sandwiches. Recently visited Boulder for work and had some lunch here, everything was SO good! I had a number 43, all the veggies were perfectly toasted and the meat was choice. My husband got a buffalo chicken and we both enjoyed the potato salad. Which is hands down the best potato salad I've ever had. It was cheesy, and creamy, and just the right amount of salty. Gunbarrel has several sandwich shops in close vicinity but this one definitely stands out as the best. Food is pretty good and the service is fast and friendly. My favorite menu items are the breakfast, which most other sandwich shops don't even have. Great place to stop by if you ever want a quick quality meal. Just got back from Deli Zone Gunbarrel. After waiting for more than 30 minutes for my sandwich, I finally went up to the counter after everyone in the place had gotten their food. I was told there was no sandwich for me even though I had already paid. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. I used to eat here 2-3 times per week. I have been coming to this deli zone since they opened, I usually go here on Sundays, and every time I leave I think it is going to be my last time there. The crew is usually stoned out of their mind, has to ask multiple times to have the order repeated, NEVER gets it right, I have been waiting for more than 20 minutes for my sandwich to be made because they never started it in the first place. Today was the last straw, there was a man in there who had been waiting a very long time for one sandwich and they literally had it wrapped up ready to go out and never called it out (which has happened to me more than once here), the "music" playing on the loud speaker was a stand up comedy show where the guy was talking about degrading sexual acts, saying f**k and p****y and an*l over and over again while i am the only customer in the place and the two kids making the sandwich took 15 minutes to make two bacon egg and cheese sandwiches. It was extremely frustrating being the only one in there and it taking that long and the music choice made me very very uncomfortable. The sandwiches ended up being the worst things I've ever had, there was barely any egg on it and the bacon was half cooked. I REALLLLLY love the breakfast sandwiches here and it would be amazing if they could get a crew on the weekend that weren't complete idiots. AWFUL customer service. They have a mandarin chicken salad that is amazing. Unfortunately, they are often out of key ingredients for it. ie: mandarin oranges or the sesame dressing it comes with. And they don't know they're out until after taking my money and making me wait for it to be prepared. The first time they didn't have the oranges, I opted for a different salad. It cost less and I wasn't offered a refund or an apology for the inconvenience. Today, they were out of the dressing. I paid and waited around 8 minutes before they presented me with the salad and said they are out of the dressing. No apologies, just can we get you a different dressing? I expressed that the dressing is amazing and the salad wouldn't be the same without it. I said this is my 2nd crappy experience here lately. They didn't apologize, simply set the amount of a refund on the counter and said here's your money back. I wish I had taken their tip back too. read more
