I had been here a few times and it's a solid option for fast casual chicken. I enjoy ordering the hot chicken sliders. Most places are shy with spice but Dave's does well in that regard. I'm usually really good with heat and Dave's hot is right about my threshold. The Dave's sauce is solid but I have decided the honey is my favorite to contrast the heat from the rub. I came for hot chicken, and I got hot chicken. I got a #3 which is a chicken tender, a slider (which is a tender in a bun with sauce and pickles) and fries, pickles and dipping sauce. I ordered it hot and was not disappointed. It took several cups of tea to cool off and it was exactly what I wanted. Yum! My friends had chicken of varying spice degrees, loaded fries and shakes, and were all happy. The service is very friendly and fast, and the restaurant is clean and had plenty of seating. You can order a meal (chicken and side) or enough food to cater a group meal or event. There is plenty of seating indoors and several tables outdoors with umbrellas. We tried this location twice since they've opened recently. We prefer the tender to the slider since the chicken stays crisper. We've tried hot and extra hot. Both are good but I prefer the extra hot. The size of the tenders is no joke. The two tender meal is a lot of food. The slushes are a fun option and keep your mouth cool. This was my first visit to a Dave's Hot Chicken and I'll be back! It was spotlessly clean, the young man taking our order was pleasant as was the girl working the dining room. I got a slider and a tender. Really good! Only complaints are the water cup was tiny and the sauce they gave (which was delicious) was also very small. Dave's Hot Chicken was a great place to get some chicken. I picked up the fried chicken sandwich but when I was eating I spied on my neighbors eating chicken tenders and I wish I would have ordered that. I love a good chicken sandwich but the tenders just looked fantastic. The next time I go I will definitely be getting the tenders. Overall the meal was tasty, hot and yummy. The fries were also crispy and hit the spot. What I was most impressed with was the service. Everyone had a smile and was very nice! I appreciate that at a fast food place. The service here is top notch, given that the cashier was very thorough and knowledgeable with the menu and explaining choices (more on this in a moment) and after receiving food, staff checked in with us. The spicy chicken sandwiches/sliders are delicious. For me, they lose the 5th star with the unusual menu. The 4 combo meals center around "sliders", which at this place are halfway in between a full-size sandwich and the approximately 1/4 size slider that we would get anywhere else. This results in combos like, "2 sliders and fried" or "a slider, a tender, and fries". The meal came in a nice basket, but $14.99 felt too pricey for what you get, plus $2.69 for a Coca-Cola. It's decent fast food, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it-doesn't come close to Chick-fil-A. Pretty good chicken. Note the extra-hot is comparable to Thai hot or Indian hot so they aren't messing around. The sauce cuts the heat a bit. The spice is kind of a powdery dry rub, so a bit different from Nashville hot if you are expecting that. The meat on one slider is like a large tender so 2 sliders is not too much. read more

The chicken was dry, cooked to death, and not flavored. No spice doesn't mean to miss out on seasoning! The Lite mild was still unflavored. The Mac and cheese and fries were good!
