We made an online order for a mega mad dog (pepperoni, sausage, etc... and we added green bell peppers). We also got the garlic strips but we weren't too crazy about them. We were walking from our hotel so we left early enough to give us plenty of time to get there. Unfortunately they were packed and hadn't started on our order. They gave us drinks for our wait and had it out after about 10 minutes. It was cool to see the pizza made in front of us and put in the "oven". We were really impressed with the food.. it was really fresh and delicious. We added a caesar salad too .. lots of cheese, tomatoes, & croutons. So good! What more can you ask for? located super close to campus, i always stopped by for a quick PERSONAL pizza! they got preselected pizzas but you can always make your own. the prices range from 6-8 bucks which is cheap if you ask me! definitely filling if you ask me! there is outside seating but i never sit outside cuz seattle weather is oh so pooppy all the time. My typical order is pepperoni, mild sausage, red sauce, parm, mozzarella, ricotta, mushrooms, chopped tomatoes, and garlic drizzle. The only reason it's not 5 stars is due to the service. MOD Pizza is great! It's a short walk from campus and they always have great coupons for BOGOs. You can find these in those Student Guide handbooks or app (not sure if it's still going on), and sometimes they give them out on campus during events. I love that you can customize it however you want with no extra charge. I can finish the regular pizza by myself in one sitting, it's $7.77 (though I shouldn't). I like to order a half & half of one of their options and then add pineapple to the whole thing. I try to get something different every time so I really don't remember what is my favorite. Check out my photos for reference. But anything with pineapple makes it super delicious. My only complaint is that sometimes they burn the crust pretty bad, and I wish that the crust was a little thicker. read more

Usually pretty good but last time I was there, I had some issues. First off, it took around 15 minutes to get my pizza even though there were only 3 people waiting for their pizzas. Second off, the oven person burnt every single pizza to the point where I was watching him pull off completely black ingredients. When I finally got my pizza, it was missing ingredients and there was black stuff from the oven on it? Lastly, my pizza had no cheese on it whatsoever. The cheese maybe went halfway from the center. MOD Pizza is slightly above average, but an understandably tasty stop for U of Washington students. It's much in the same vein as Texas-based Pie Five and California-based Blaze Pizza. Like those recently-established franchises, there is a certain appeal to watching the construction of your personally-crafted pie right before you eyes, thin enough to hastily bake in the oven. The mega size was nothing more than two discs of medium-sized dough double stacked. The cheese was of mediocre quality and sparsely spread, like Pie Five and Blaze, but the red sauce was good. The garlic strips were the highlight of the meal because they didn't hold back on the minced garlic!!! The ingredients were fresh but they didn't amaze me. Online ordering was a breeze, and my order was cooked in front of me, boxed and ready to go within five minutes. 6.88 with tax? I would pay that for a crappy frozen pizza and it wouldn't be as good. Is it amazing pizza? No. But you can choose whatever toppings you like, and it's wood fired. Plus, it's close to my work, so it's like a win-win. Although, now that I know that the pizza is pretty good, I may be cheating on my diet more often. But I can reason that it is a nice thin crust, and I load it with veggies. Practically heath food. It was ~ok~. I don't know. The crust is extremely thin and it felt more like I was eating something on top of a tortilla shell than pizza crust. The plethora of cheeses, gorgonzala included, on top of my pie were lovely though and tasted even better with a healthy dose of red pepper flakes on top. What's not to like?! Workers are always friendly. Prices are cheap. They serve alcohol. Food comes out fast. And my favorite, any and all the toppings you like for the same price! I always get a mini. According to my calculations, this is the cheapest meal you can get on the Ave (please share if you know of anything better!!). The thin crust is always nice and crispy on the edges and if you load up on the toppings as you should, you have a tasty bang-for-your-buck! My go-to is the mad dog. It's the equivalent of a meat lovers pizza and comes with pepperoni, sausage, and meatballs. Then I add minced garlic, mushrooms, olives, and the pesto drizzle. Deeee-lish! To which he replies, "How about right now?" And so we go. It works for several reasons: 1. There is *always* time for it. Your pie is ready in less than 10 minutes. 2. They serve $1 PBR in the bottle. 3. You can't get any more economical--no matter how many toppings you add, it's still the same price. 4. I'm cheap. And I am picky. So this place is completely awesome. $5.88 for anything and EVERYTHING on your pizza. Really. You pay the same price for one topping or 15 toppings. You just point at the goodies you want, they toss them on, stick it in the oven, and it's ready a couple of minutes after you pay your (very small) bill. The thin, crispy crust makes for almost a flatbread experience, but I liked it. I also liked that I could have chicken, artichokes, roasted red peppers, and fresh basil on mine. I'm updating my review. CAUTION! IF YOU HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES OR SENSITIVITIES!! It's been awhile since my last visit and I didn't know the new staff. I said at the start I had dairy allergy. I asked for red sauce, and applying the sauce, I saw there were flecks of cheese in the red sauce going on my pizza. I asked for pepperoni. Layering pepperoni, there were cheese flecks stuck to the slices, going on my pizza. I told the person and she picked off what she saw. I noticed that there was cheese all over the place on the counter and likely on the toppings. I also noticed that worker changed her gloves at the END to add dairy-free cheese (didn't change gloves at start). I was having doubts about my ability to eat this pizza with my dairy allergy and at that moment a different worker held a different pizza containing a lot of cheese over the top of my pizza to reach other toppings in assembly, it went sideways, and spilled a lot cheese onto my pizza. I said, "what are you doing?!? You just spilled cheese into my dairy free pizza!!? I can't eat it!" All workers behind the counter looked at me like I was a crazy person. Maybe I was a crazy person for speaking our, but I was used to the old crew being sensitive to food allergies. This is not the case anymore... No one offered an apology, or offered to make me a new pizza. I left a message with MOD customer service and no one responded. It's been a while since I've been to MOD, and this was not what I remembered or expected. First of all, I have no idea why this place is rated as highly as it is. What is Yelp smoking? Seriously. I made a Yelp account just to rate this place. Okay, okay, the pizza is alright, not really any better than say Dominoes, but pizza is pizza and even when it's bad it's good, am I right? Basically, the service sucks. They rush you to make your decision, they are straight up unfriendly, and give off a hipster entitled cool nonchalance that makes you want to vomit. I've been here a couple times, and each time it's a different guy, so I hope they are a little nicer than last time. But each time, it doesn't matter who it is, by the time I'm done through the line I feel like throwing that pizza directly in the garbage I'm so pissed off. They all act the same and act like they would rather not be helping you right now, which in all honesty is probably true because who could stand being around those people 24 7 Mod pizza sucks! I know, for my first review I probably sound like the biggest a hole, but at literally every other restaurant I go to I have a really pleasant interactions with the staff, all the time.
