I've put this off for months, but after a recent delivery I feel compelled to update my review. I've been a Pagliacci fan and regular customer for many years, the Stone Way location in particular. Pagliacci remains great in many ways. Kind and personable delivery folks, excellent selection of wine and beer, tasty caesar salad, delicious gelato. Quick, reliable, and professional. What's making me reconsider ordering from them in the future is their pizza. The sauce, cheese, and topping remain solid, but what's up with the crust? My last 4 or so pizzas, ordered over the course of maybe 6 or 12 months, have had such a thin, soggy, sad crust. And what's a pizza place without good pizza crust? :( read more

Ordered the Diavola and it was fell short of my expectations for its price of $25.92 for an 11" which is very small. Picked up the pizza and it was floppy. Even the $1 pizzas I get in NYC don't flop like that. I can get 26 of those which taste way better as well. Also calling in to place an order is weird, it goes to a corporate office, not the actual location and they have you provide your credit card details over the phone, um no thank you, very strange how the location/chain doesn't have their own phone. The staff that took my order in person seemed very uninterested in his job, sort of destroyed my mood for that night as I walked and no greeting or a simple "hi welcome" would suffice as well. I went to a different place in the area and got a full greeting so can't be the location. Overall for $26, you're better off going to a different place unlesss you really want pizza in Seattle for some reason. read more

My go to anytime I want a good pie. I'm not sure why they have low ratings, b/c this location is consistently the best. When I moved, I was informed my only option was the University Dist branch, which was over-rated and very hit or miss. I was happy to return to Stone when the other closed. And a former hospital employee, thought the same of the Cap Hill branches. Both were freq overly greasy. The chain as a whole is popular for a reason. Their toppings are locally artisanal, fresh, and I love a REAL bread crust. I do enjoy the biscuit variation from time to time. But I can't stand Pizza Hut for many reasons, the top of the list being their crust. (If you eat there, you should really research their PCB ratings-200% over the toxic limit). My neighbors in the bldg ALL use this branch now b/c of me. You're welcome, Stone Way. My faves are a routine rotation of The Brooklyn Bridge, Pesto Primo, The Veggie, and Chicken Spinach (whatever it's called). But their seasonals are awesome too, my faves being the meatball & banana peppers, and pear/gorgonzola. I have recently been getting their calzones, minus the ricotta. Also love the biscuit bread sticks, Nona's pasta, and their gelato. I appreciate the variety of their drinks as well. And the cookies are very good. Make an gelato sammich w them. Whenever i've had any issues, these guys are super helpful to rectify and will either re-deliver or send a gift card. I have also received entire orders that were comped as birthday or customer appreciation. Their phone staff is by and large cheerful, helpful in their recommendations, and patient w picky orders & substitutions. Their drivers are the nicest & most considerate too. I've tried to tip the kitchen staff, but they don't accommodate that for delivery. So share the love if you eat there in person. read more

We were craving some pizza today and heard good things about Pagliacci's so decided to give it a shot. I don't think they have a private parking lot (if they did I missed it) so decided to park across the street at the 7/11. Residential parking within the block is available as well. I called in for pick up and it was ready in 15 minutes which was amazing cause we were getting hangry. My favorite part about Pagliacci's is the thickness, it's a nice thin New York style pizza. I'm personally not a fan of deep dish cause it's too much breading for me. Their crust was a nice fluffy and chewy texture which I really enjoyed. Some Best Things about Pagliacci Pizza: (1) the gluten free crust is crunchy and crispety and seems to be better all the time. It reheats very well, too. (2) We like the seasonals. We like getting a gluten-free pizza (available in 11" only, I think) that is half-and-half, so we can get two seasonals on one pizza. In our house of two getting-elderly, moderately-foodie souls the one pizza is fully satisfactory and gelato or sorget is Meal Elevation to the Max. (3) They have the seasonals on the "slice" bar three days a week, just where I can reward myself for the arduous trip down to the coffee shop ( . . . three doors north of the Pagliacci's storefront . . . ) with a restorative slice of each seasonal. (4) We find that one gluten-free pizza with 1/2-and-1/2 of the two seasonals; a large Pagliacci salad with the garbanzo beans and all; and a pint of gelato or sorbet (also has seasonals!) makes a welcome fill-you-right-up treat after a weekend-long work party or a friends-and-family Mandalorian watch party. The quality and creativity of the Pagliacci's pizza is unrivaled. They're more expensive than pizza from the larger chains, but then they're not in the same market, so to speak. They have wild-foraged mushrooms (morels! great googly moogly, the morels!) and Iserno chicken sausage; they have Mama Lil's peppers. They have white pizza as well as red pizza. None of the guests we've ever fed on a Pagliacci pizza has not gone back for seconds. I'm writing about the Pagliacci's Pizza on the corner of E Miller and 10th Ave E (north Capital Hill). I get Pagliacci often. It's usually great! But tonight I got the Brooklyn Bridge (which I have had before) and I decided to have a slice while I waited for the bus. I am glad I did because I found that the pizza was really soggy. More than halfway up each slice it was wet and gross. I took it back and showed it to them and they said that it was because they were using mushrooms from a different supplier temporarily. I didn't ask then, but I am wondering why they would use them if they know it makes the pizzas soggy. They could just be out of mushrooms for a while. They gave me half off a new pizza and I got Hawaiian thinking that with less toppings, it would be less likely to be soggy. Well, the Hawaiian was still a bit soggy. While at the bus stop, I pulled the pieces off the cardboard that is there to absorb, flipped it over, and put the pieces on it again. This worked pretty well. When I got home I put a couple pieces in the oven to dry them up the rest of the way. I hope this new problem was a one (or two) time thing! The second pizza did seem to have a lot of extra cheese (maybe he way trying to be nice?) but the issue could be easily solved by weighing toppings. I will try them again, but I will also always be sure to check it before I go! read more

The calzones are to die for, and I am an Italian American who knows what a good calzone should be. They know what they're doing, and they do it well. Their slices are enormous and their toppings are other-worldly. Their delivery drivers are courteous, quick, and thoughtful and well-deserving of a good tip. I've seen Pagliacci all over Seattle but had never tried it despiste living here for a few years. They offer both individual slices and whole pies. The individual slices are large and cheaper than buying an entire pie, but still feel expensive. I believe it was ~$5/slice vs $20 for an 8 piece pie. Perhaps I am spoiled by New York $1 slices, but the price alone felt disappointing. The flavor was OK, nothing special. The pizza hits the spot with MANY different options that will make anyone happy. Instead of ordering a full pie to ourselves, we decided to grab some individual slices so that we can try more! From what I was told they usually have 2 of their uniquely flavored pizzas and then 1 staple such as pepperoni or cheese. I loved the everything slice I got and also a butternut squash slice!
