Terrible experience. Ordered online and went in store to pick up. I wasn't acknowledged for over 15 minutes and there was only one other customer waiting (also not being waited on). When I was finally acknowledged, my pizza was cold. The toppings were sparse. 2 rings of onion and 8 small pieces of sausage. I'm not sure if there was any sauce on the pizza or not. Definitely didn't have the garlic I ordered. The other customer got her pizza and was offered condiments. I was not offered any at all. I have been to the Rocklin location several times and it's always the same. I won't be back. The Auburn location is much better. read more

I've been here probably about a hundred times! I just wanted to say... Maybe I'm a bit biased because this is where my boyfriend and I first went for an after work pizza and told each other we liked each other, so yes I have fond memories. However I just came back and tonight really made me want to say... Hey cool tatted manager guy! You have hand picked great people to work there and all of you typically have excellent attitudes, the toppings are always fresh, portions never disappointing, and service is with a smile. Plus the Sri-rancha is heavenly. The manager came over to me, asked me how I was, and was joking around with the employees, having arm wrestling matches. I can tell they're happy too and I feel like it really reflects with the quality of service at this MOD location. The unlimited toppings really is another bonus. It's quick, I've never been disappointed, and I go here on a weekly basis. So... That being said, You guys are doing a bang-up job. I'm very picky and a pizza snob. read more

The wife and I were in the area and wanted to try something different. We decided on MOD Pizza to check it out. There are a few "build your own" pizza joints in the Roseville/Rocklin area; including one within 2 blocks from this one. We enjoyed MOD pizza the best so far. The house-made iced teas and lemonades were awesome and refreshing. I greatly enjoyed the camelized pear flavor and the wife had a lemonade. We each ordered a Mini MOD "build your own" pizza. There are other sizes available. Both my wife and I enjoyed our creations. The pizzas were cooked right. Great selection of ingredients and sauces. They even have gluten crust for those that like that option. You can see all the ingredients clearly. Plenty of combinations. Portions were good and price was right. First, they offer 3 sizes for pizza! For the same price of Pieology's pizza ($8), they offer the MOD size pizza, which is almost twice the size. They have a variety of toppings, meats, and sauces to choose from. You really can't go wrong with this place. It was clean and spacious inside, and customer service was great. If you like Pieology's Classics, then you're likely not going to find them here and vice versa. However, if you're into customizing your own pizza anyway, you'll get more bang for your buck here. ;) read more

YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST EAT HERE!!! First I want to say a huge thank you to Jeremy the owner of MOD and also to the staff of MOD. The food was fantastic and the service was amazing. I know the place was packed but still I saw someone at our table at least every 10 minutes checking to make sure we were well taken care of. Also, when we got our pizza made the staff were very friendly and helpful. I wasn't that excited to be going to another pizza place like this, I told my friend, I've been there done that and they are all the same. My experience at MOD couldn't have been further from the truth. MOD is nothing like the other pizza places that now seem to be popping up all over the place. (Except Natomas if you're reading this Jeremy). MOD is very different than the other pizza places. First, the staff are very friendly and really go out of their way to make your experience as pleasant as possible. The other things that make MOD different is the size of the pizza. Most places it seems small to me, I can eat a whole pizza in one sitting. The MOD size is larger, I had to take some home for later. The other thing that made MOD different is you can choose as many toppings as you like. I think most places limit you, but not MOD, pile all the meat (Michael) and cheese on that you could ever eat. Also MOD has a much better selection of drinks. They have beer, wine, and a variety of lemonades and teas. The Meyer lemonade was so delicious. They also have cinnamon and garlic strips, a variety of salads and get this, very special milk shakes, not only chocolate, vanilla and strawberry, but also Cappuccino Crunch, Cookie Dough, Mint Chocolate Chip, Sea Salt Toffee, & OREO® Cookie Pieces milk shakes - YUM. The ingredients are really really fresh, and there are tons of things to top your pizza with. I loved the pizza crust, despite having both garlic and marinara added to my pizza, and all of the toppings, extra cheese, the crust was still nice and crisp and held up, I did not end up with a floppy crust, I hate a floppy crust. Good lunch place with pretty unlimited pizza toppings. I like that they have more than basic toppings. Fountain drink selection is also good with real brewed tea and lemonade. I like these type of places where you can create your own personal pizza all at a reasonable price. This was my first time at MOD pizza and after looking at the menu board I decided to do a modified version of the "Lucy sunshine", I added white sauce and pepperoni to half and removed the red sauce. The pizza was good, I like that they have a thin crust and that you can get whatever toppings you want without any additional fees. I think altogether with a pizza and a drink my total was $10. These make your own pizza places have been popping up everywhere the last few months and having tried Blaze and Blast, so far it hasn't been nothing spectacular. I came on the grand opening when the pizza's were free so I thought why not give it a try... I was blown away!!! Everytime I come to these places I get the BBQ Chicken Pizza and out of all the other MYO pizza places MOD is by far the best. It has a hip millennial atmosphere with pictures supporting local high schools. The staff was out of this world, incredibly friendly and always with a smile. The price was also extremely reasonable. Overall I would go ahead and give it a try if you like these types of places, even if you don't give it a try because it is tasty, fresh, and affordable! read more

Went for lunch to try it out, and I was pleasantly surprised. The girl at the front greeted me and was extremely helpful, and the guy helping me make my pizza kept it up with a healthy dose of humor. I got the mega pizza, which is basically a double decker, with two layers on top of each other. It was delicious. Every topping came included with the price of the pizza, so I could get as many as I wanted. Another reviewer said there was only one cheese to choose from, and not very many toppings. I think that person was at the wrong place, because at this place there was a lot to choose from. Every topping I got tasted amazing. I also got the garlic strips, which honestly was the best garlic strip/bread I have had around here in a really long time, I highly recommend it. On top of all that, the general manager was super friendly and made sure everything tasted great. My wife and I both ordered the caspian while the in-law and the kiddo ordered a create your own. I stumbled into MOD Pizza "Super Fast" when running around in Rocklin. I've never seen one before and thought "cool, build your own pizza and they advertise they're "super fast" right on the front of their building". Well super fast they are not, a family of 4 walked in before me and were instantly helped. I waited for over 10 minutes and finally left. (Think of it this way, would you be the next person in line at chipotle and stand there for over 10 minutes never being acknowledged?) They definitely weren't understaffed either. Check this one off the list, only reason I gave 2 stars is because it smelled good. It doesn't take much to turn me off of a restaurant and being slow is the worst thing to me when they should be quick in & out type places. read more

Mods never seems to disappoint my appetite. When I'm hungry I either go to Wing Stop or MODS Pizza. It's convenient that both places are right next to each other. As of lately, I've been eating a lot more at MODS than Wing Stop. Not only does the food taste better, but the waiting time is actually not that bad. If you like the Chipotle/Subway style (food line) than MODS will be a pleasant surprise. The staff at MODS is really nice, a lot of the workers seem to be young college students, maybe they go to Sierra College down the street. I love the beer they have, as well. When it comes to tap beer, MODS has the best selection in my personal opinion. No one in the area has local beer like MODS, at least not in the same shopping center. The pizza is delicious. Anyone that complains about the taste of their pizza, must not like pizza in general. The cheese and red sauce taste better than Blast pizza in my opinion. It is thin-crust pizza, so if you like thick crust pizza, this may not be the place for you. I've been a regular customer at MODS for months now, and I don't plan on going anywhere else for great pizza. After sports games at local community college, Sierra, MODS is a great place to grab a bite to eat. MODS is a modern-looking restaurant with a lot of cool features, and cool wall designs. This pizza place is a great place to bring the family, your girl friend, boy friend, grandmother, or kids. I think pizza is always better when you have a better experience tied to into it. read more

Pizza is good and typical for this style of pizzeria - unlimited toppings and clay oven baked. I am only giving 3 stars because (1) the toppings were not spread across the entire pizza and were clumped together, and (2) the pizza came out of the oven with big chunks missing cheese. One in particular was really bad and it was for my son. I asked if this one could be remade, but didn't say anything about the other 3 pizzas. The person told a girl who was apparently the manager, or at least in charge for the night. Instead of remaking it, she sprinkled some cheese in ONE of the missing sections, left the other 3 cheeseless, sad sections as is, and popped it back in the oven. Well, guess what - the pizza came out with crust burned. I didn't say anything, figured it wasn't worth it at this point. First time eating here and I was very impressed! Very short wait time, our pizza was delivered very quickly. The pizza was made fresh right in front of me. Cooked in a brick oven. The ingredients were fresh and the pizza quality was fantastic. The mozzarella cheese was really soft and stringy and the thin crust had a good crunch to it.
