Sooooo delicious. Super friendly, fast but not rushed. Gloves and masked employees, and they greeted me with a friendly attitude. My kids can be picky but this was a winner. You won't be disappointed if you stop here. read more

I love coming here either after school or when ever I'm in town. This place has a lot more choices of topping compare to blast. A lot of choices to drink and the different sizes of pizzas to choose from. All in all Mod pizza is great place to go out to eat. read more

Very nice location! It was very clean and everything was well run. I like how they have different sizes here unlike Blaze or Pieology. I still got the regular Mod size and let me tell you... they do not go easy on the toppings. Whenever I go to Pieology they ask way do a little sprinkle of everything but they go hard at Mod which I LOVE. As for the taste... the crust in my opinion is the most important part and this one was lacking a little something like Blaze has or Pieology. It was still a pretty dang good pizza though. read more

I will preface my review by saying that I am torn between giving MOD Pizza 3 or 4 stars. On the positive side, I like the idea of customizing my own pizza. I have some food sensitivities and many traditional pizza toppings (like red sauce, pepperoni) are things I need to avoid. So being able to control what goes on my pizza is a definite plus, and MOD has lots of choices. I also love that they offer salads and desserts, and their lemonades and teas are great. The crust.....well, I don't know that I'd call it a standard pizza crust. It has the weight, feel, and taste of naan. I suppose if you're going to offer a fast-fired pizza, that's probably the way to go...and it's not a bad thing, I like naan. But I do think it's important to know that if you're going to order several veggie toppings on your pizza, you should probably request the thick crust (yes, they offer one) because naan just doesn't stand up to all of that weight and moisture. Employees were nice, dining room needed some cleaning work but wasn't awful. Another thing that I think is important to note about this location is that this shopping center is a real pain in the ass to get into and to find a parking spot. It is exceedingly busy at most times of the day. This is not MOD's fault by any means.....but if you hate crowds, really full parking lots, and lots of traffic--you've been warned. All in all, I'll go back. $11 for a customized lunch, not a bad deal! read more

We have been craving a good pizza since we moved to the area after the camp fire in November. We tried a few places that were just ok. Then we noticed MOD while we were driving by. I'm do glad we stopped. It was the best pizza we've had in years! The staff was very funny and helpful. The restaurant was clean. It was an all around excellent experience. This is my favorite MOD. By far!! And I've been to quite a few traveling back and forth to the Bay Area! This MOD came in strong and never disappoints. Their customer service reminds me of the 'good ole days' when customers were treated like guests and not an inconvenience to them having to be there to collect their pay check. These young people REALLY care, they engage in conversation- offer suggestions, and come check in with you at least once when you are at the table! My favorite kid that works there - I like to call him "Wall Street"... he goes above and beyond to make your pizza experience the best. I happen to come back exactly one week after my last visit(what can I say.. Friday night is pizza night) and he remembered my pizza! That meant a lot to this 50+ mama who enjoys a banter or two while ordering food! read more

The girls working at this place have the worst customer service and attitude I've ever experienced. None of them were smiling and they made you feel like it was it was a hassle to make your food for you. I hate going to this location please hire nicer people that actually care about customers. read more

Delicious! Food was at my table in less than 5 minutes after paying for it. My daughter had cheese pizza and a Caesar salad, I designed my own pizza, we both were blown away. Everything was fresh and very tasty. We loved the crisp thin crust, good way to keep carbs down. The pizza sauce tasted like it was fresh made, flavorful with herbs. The iced tea was also fresh and tasty. The staff was helpful it's like Chipotle, you quickly design your own, no limit to toppings, all one price...wow, that's refreshing. We will be back. It's the best pizza I have ever had in my life! Nice for individuals to get just what they want, fun for kids. Healthy alternative to fast food! They said they have gluten and dairy free too. Please open one in Folsom! read more

MOD Pizza - Wow! Best pizza I've ever had. Ever. Salad was delish too. They also have gluten free and dairy free. Good prices. Cool place. - Pizza Near Me - Rocklin, California

We used to come here quite a bit but this place is hit and miss with customer service and the pizza quality. Customer service is almost like it's a bother they have to make your pizza. Definitely not a super friendly group working there. Pizza themselves sometimes have a good amount of toppings, other times not as much for the same order. You definitely feel like it's expensive when you aren't getting much on your pizza. We pretty much go because we live close but things have changed for me and this location. read more

My husband and I came in and were blown away by the service. I have food allergies and its frustrating and sad that when I go to other places they make me feel like a burden. Not here. We came up to the starting point and asked if they could change there gloves. No attitude no annoyed faces just smiles. The big guy that was cooking made sure are pizzas didn't touch the counter and were cut with clean pizza cutters.Everyone there was very accommodating from start to finish. read more

Good crust and toppings. Great for a group when everyone has their own idea of what they want. The kids ate it up and asked for more!

Love MOD pizza! We had one close to where we used to lived in another town and then moved away. Glad we found another one close. Pizzas and Salads are way better than Pieology. Staff here is super friendly and while you can't eat inside because of the pandemic they do have outside seating that you are free to use. We will definitely be back. read more

I was told by my nephew that MOD Pizza was way better than our favorite pizza place, Frank's Pizza in Grass Valley, California. Since I refer to Frank's as "The World's Greatest Pizza," I had to try MOD Pizza! So, last Monday, my husband and I drove almost an hour to the MOD Pizza in Chico, California. Well.........we were very disappointed! We wanted to compare "apples to apples" with Frank's Pizza, so we ordered a type of combination, as well as a chicken, garlic, bacon tomato one, with white sauce. My husband said that it was one of the worst crusts that he'd ever had and the rest of the Pizza was, "just okay" and that we will never be back! The only reason I'm being generous in giving them 3 stars, was because we had our pizza in about 5 minutes. Definitely not worth the drive and it is not even in the same league as our Frank's Pizza!! read more

Pizza was very good! Both the white and red sauce is good, had mine 1/2 & 1/2. Crust is good and salad was nice. Staff needs a little more training or confidence on the front line, but were very nice. Music just a bit to loud and slightly confusing when ordering as compared to Trademark Pizza one of our favorites. Like MOD!!, much better than Blast 825 read more

Honestly they don't even deserve a 1 star. This is the second time they have screwed up on our pizzas and still went home disappointed. The topping are sparse and the crust is very doughy. The kids working there don't give a crap that they keep screwing up. Not going back. read more

I really liked the crust in comparison to other quick bake pizza shops. I was a bit disappointed in the amount of topping choices but I did find a good variety and the pizza was delicious. I would go back for sure but it won't become my go to place. read more

This place rocks. The whole system of MOD is genius. Many people have already reviewed it in every favorable way, so let me just share my favorite pizza currently: MOD size dough Red Sauce Cilantro Mozzarella Pepperoni Both sausages Bacon Chicken Mushrooms Pineapple Diced red onion Mozzarella on top Sir-rancha or siracha and ranch when it comes out. Cut into eighths It's incredible. read more

If you are looking for vegan options, they have them, But the cross contamination is absolutely absurd. There was vegan cheese next to all the other cheeses, mozzarella in the sauce and one of every condiment in each of the bins. I asked to have a fresh sauce used and they said they were only able to get a fresh bottle of other spreads. If you are gluten free, vegan, or allergic to anything DO NOT COME HERE!! And the final straw and reason I walked out is because when the worker turned around you could see that he had a bad itch on his backside due to the residue from his gloves when he was scratching. Never coming to this establishment again and would highly recommend finding another place to eat read more

This place is awesome! They charge one price (per size) and all the toppings you want at no extra charge. There is a wall of different pizzas you can order or build your own. They cook it in an open fire oven which takes about 5-7 minutes and you're ready to go. Nice thin crust and not burnt like Blast 825. They also serve beer and milk shakes along with soda and tea. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. My only criticism if you could call it that is they need to get one of those soda machines that has 160 different combos like Burger King and Noodles have. This place is definitely going into the rotation. read more

MOD Pizza - Sausage, mushroom, canadian bacon, bell pepper, pineapple, roasted garlic, artichoke heart heaven! - Pizza Near Me - Rocklin, California

A group of yelpers came for a soft grand opening on 6/8/16 and we had just a great time! The restaurant and patio were beautiful, clean and inviting! The employees were friendly and knowledgeable. The pizza choices are fantastic and the drinks are tasty! The concept is pick your pizza size, crust or no crust, pick your toppings, pick your drinks! I wanted to try a gluten free crust, red sauce, chicken, ham, tomatoes, pineapple, & olives. Simple but it was my choice. Fun! So it takes just a few minutes to cook in their big wood fire oven and they call your name to get it. The drink selection is tasty! I mixed lemonade with the caramelized pear ice tea and it was perfect. We sat down with friends and could only finish 2 slices but yay for leftovers! The crust was tasty not hard or cardboardy. The ingredients had good flavor together and I was very happy with my choices. I highly recommend this restaurant. I dined at their Scottsdale, Az location and my experience was good too but Rocklin was better! Enjoy and bring friends! read more

The gluten free crust is the best I've ever had!! I've tried all the other places and until last night, blaze held the top spot! The GF was bigger and better at MOD!! I am sadly MODifying my review after my family and I visited a second time on a Sunday evening. Summary: The pizza still tasted good, but the whole experience, sadly left a bad taste in my mouth. The employees were not as welcoming, and when I asked for basil, the girl looked around then said "we put it on after we cook it". Ok, that wasn't the case last time, but that's fine. Then I bought a can of San Pellegrino for $2.77 (which is a lot for a can of soda) and asked for a glass for ice and the cashier (who I also believe was the shift manager) said the cup was $1.97! I said I didn't want a fountain drink, I just want a glass for my $2.77 San Pellegrino. She was adamant about charging me for the cup with a little bit of an "attitude". All I could think was WOW, this was not how they did it last time. Needless to say, I wasn't about to spend almost five dollars for a can of soda. Then the pizza came out without basil; I kindly reminded the guy I asked for basil and, unapologetically, he said they ran out. Then when we left I waved bye, and they saw me, but no response like "thanks for coming in"... Nothing. :( Inconsistency in service or food will kill a restaurant. I hope they figure this out quickly. This was a 180 degree difference from our first experience... kind of like like the A Team vs the B Team. The A Team got us excited to come back, and just like that, the B Team permanently lost us as customers. Below is my original 5 star review. Nice people, great for kids, super fast, rustic modern atmosphere, good price, fresh ingredients, awesome pizza! Our family went there a couple weeks ago and were thoroughly impressed. Better than Blast 825, and WAY better than il Pizzaiolo. read more

Fun and locally themed decor with an incredibly nice and very hard working staff. The two pizzas had plenty of toppings and the salad we ordered had more ingredients than there was lettuce. With all the casual dining instant oven baked pizza places opening up in the area it's hard to remember which is better or who has what, but I very much appreciated the employees here as to how friendly they were to my 14 month old daughter and that is currently going to set MOD apart from Blast, Blaze, Trademark or Pieology. If you're on 80 going east up the hill or going west and coming down the hill, definitely take the Sierra College exit and stop in to MOD Pizza for a quick and easy pizza made to your standards. read more

We love this MOD pizza, they always have it ready super fast and most of the time pretty accurate. Can't wait for in person seating.

The blonde boy with long hair was so helpful and was definitely a manager there for how professional and friendly he was!

We had the wonderful opportunity of coming here during a Yelp Elite Event recently, and boy were we happy! This place is one of many of the new "Chipotle style Pizza Places" - such as Blast, Blaze, Pieology, just to name a few. We have been to Blaze quite a bit and we were SO excited to be able to try out Mod. First of all, Mod does provide 3 sizes plus pizza salads which is a plus. In addition to the regular 11 inch at approximately $8, they also have a smaller size and a family size. The smaller size I want to say is like a 6 inch pizza, and the family, is still an 11 inch but it's double decker type pizza - crust, sauce, cheese, crust, sauce, cheese and toppings. Good to have some variety :) I will say I LOVED their crust - I loaded my pizza up with all sorts of random goodies and it held up very well during the baking process. The pizza never folded while eating, it was extremely tasty and I will say the crust was very delicious. This differs from Blaze in that they recommend you only a certain number of toppings, though you can essentially have as many as you want, but the crust is soft and it's hard to eat the pizza by hand - so that's why I give MOD even more props :) The specialty lemonades and teas are amazing too. I had the pear tea - I can't remember the exact title, but it's SO delicious - it's one of the 2 specialty teas - I'd go back just for this! Overall - great experience, we absolutely will be back :) read more

We WERE regulars at MOD in Rocklin and it has slowly gone downhill over the last few months. Today was our last visit. We waited 50 minutes today to get our 4 pizzas. When we got home, no drizzles on the pizzas that were supposed to have them. Salad was wilted and brown, completely inedible and we had to toss it. This isn't the first time this has happened... in fact, the last three times we have gone, this has been the case. We won't be back. read more

The same concept as Blast and Blaze- really quick and really good. The employees were very nice and asked us multiple times if we would like to add any extras reminding us there is no charge. They have some combos they have made up that you can choose from or make your own. I like that they have a larger family size and breadsticks which their competitors don't. They have salad options and it is very large. I got the BBQ chicken pizza and it was very flavorful- I wish my crust was a tad bit crispier though. The pricing is very decent. They also have some dessert options. The only thing is it was absolutely freezing in the dining room- I mean really really cold to where my kids wanted to go outside before they were done eating. We will for sure visit them again. read more

I've been here probably about a hundred times! I just wanted to say... Maybe I'm a bit biased because this is where my boyfriend and I first went for an after work pizza and told each other we liked each other, so yes I have fond memories. However I just came back and tonight really made me want to say... Hey cool tatted manager guy! You have hand picked great people to work there and all of you typically have excellent attitudes, the toppings are always fresh, portions never disappointing, and service is with a smile. Plus the Sri-rancha is heavenly. The manager came over to me, asked me how I was, and was joking around with the employees, having arm wrestling matches. I can tell they're happy too and I feel like it really reflects with the quality of service at this MOD location. The unlimited toppings really is another bonus. It's quick, I've never been disappointed, and I go here on a weekly basis. So... That being said, You guys are doing a bang-up job. I'm very picky and a pizza snob. read more
