My kiddos really like Pizza Guys so we've been ordering from them for a long time. Since we moved a year ago, we've been getting it from the one in Rocklin. The last few times I've noticed the pizza is less and less with space between the slices. Now, I've seen videos of employees cutting out a sliver down the middle and I'm starting to wonder if that is happening here. I will be monitoring more closely, and might have to go to a new spot eventually. Which is sad because we really do like Pizzq Guys pizza. I decided to try out this spot as Pizza Guys originated in Sacramento. The staff member who helped me was friendly and looked like he probably owned the store or knew the store owners. I had a half sausage and half mushroom pizza on the original crust. The pizza itself was good, made with simple ingredients. I probably could use a little more cheese to the edges of the pizza. I really liked that the pizza wasn't oily and greasy at all though, and made for a very satisfying meal. It's a take out only place. read more

We got a few pizzas and cheesy garlic bread for a family get together. Everything was really good. Everybody enjoyed it.

I called to place an order and excited to try their garlic parmesan stuffed crust, but the employee told me they couldn't do a half-and-half pizza because their system didn't allow it. That could be true, or it could just be the employee being lazy. It was a simple one-topping half-and-half. If I could do it online, which I tried to do after to verify what the employee said why couldn't they accommodate it over the phone? Needless to say, I took my business elsewhere. read more

I've been a loyal customer and after getting two pizzas for my birthday yesterday and dealing with the rude person that took the call We ended up with a mushroom pizza that looked like I had dehydrated mushrooms on it.. The 2nd pizza looked and tasted like an ad translucent salami and Canadian bacon and mushrooms on it because they were so extremely thinly sliced. I worked in a restaurant I understand food costs but this is ridiculous and very CHEAP?..The previous pizzas were pretty much the same way with the very minimal amount of mushrooms and pineapple... This is my go to for pizza unfortunately the quality of service has dropped. They are messing up on pizza orders more often so please double check your pizza before you leave. Just a heads up, they will mess up your pizza and will try to correct it by giving you another pizza but make sure it's the right size pizza. I ordered a medium they screwed up the order said they were gonna let me have the wrong pizza, and make me another one and they gave me a small. They feel that it's appropriate to give you a smaller pizza after you've already paid for your original order. I was already waiting an hour, it's unacceptable and they felt that the way they corrected it appropriate. The way they should've corrected. It is give me the same size pizza with the toppings. This was our first time purchasing their pizzas. We went there to pick up a couple of pizzas to take over to our daughter's house for dinner. Their pizzas are very good. Yum!!! It turns out that it was all seven of us, first time trying out this pizza company. We enjoyed their pizzas. We're always receiving their coupons in the mail but never used them before now. We received a business card size coupon, "Buy one, get one free" card left at our front door. So we took advantage of that deal. We were not disappointed... My only complaint is that when you call and place your order, they automatically give you a "coupon discount". Which is fine, except our coupon was "By one, get one free". There is a sizeable different in savings (i.e. $4.50 vs $17.50 ish). They were reluctant to honor our coupon, but eventually figured it out on their computer and gave back our money. My work was nice enough to order a pizza for me and my family. They ordered it at four for delivery between five and six. It arrived at 7:25. It was Friday night and everyone is understaffed so I would have let that go, but the guy didn't knock or ring the doorbell, just put the pizza on our doormat. Probably the worst customer service I've ever received. It's 11, they close at 12 am and I asked for a delivery because I can't drive. I looked up the time on my gps and it says 10-15 minutes yet they just denied my service because my home is "too far" first of all it would take 10-15 min to bake, 15 min to drive, and that's it. Truly just laziness. I placed an order online and even though I live two miles away, the website would not recognize my delivery address, so I placed it for curbside pickup. I was given the option of "as soon as possible" or a "scheduled delivery time" for the pizza to be ready. I chose the 7:00 option so my daughter could pick it up on her way over from Citrus Heights. The website confirmed that my order would be ready between 7:00 and 7:05. Lo and behold, I end up getting a text at 6:50 saying that my pizza is ready and my daughter is still 10 minutes away! When she arrived, she mentioned to the staff that they should pay more attention to pickup times, as who wants a cold pizza. The staff laughed it off like it was no big deal and offered no apology. By the time the pizza got to my house it had already been sitting out for 30 minutes and I had to heat it in the oven. I could be more understanding if this was a busy night, but it was not. It was a Wednesday and they were slow. Note to staff: if someone is specifically asking for a later pickup time rather than having it made right away, it matters and a little concern / apology goes a long way. They are professional on the phone, fix mistakes quickly, Have pretty competitive prices, high quality food, and are almost always on time for delivery...even for us who are about 15 min away. Given the sheer number of pizzas and other things we've ordered, we have NEVER seen the kinds of problems the one-star reviews are giving. This tells me those issues are anomalies. BEWARE: The problem is, when ordering on-line and paying on-line with a credit card for pick-up.......Once you arrive to pick up your order, 90% of the time they give the total price like they want to be paid again. Once pointing out it's already been paid via credit card on-line, they always say, "oh ahhh, yea, aaaaaa, I guess so, sorry". The owner, Puneet is a stand up guy. Fast and friendly service, and a good product. The store is nice and clean. If you want to get a good pizza this is a place that I would definitely recommend. As simple as that if you want a pizza and you're in the area stop in. I think you'll like it. They also have delivery service if you live in the area just give them a call and I'll send you over a pizza. The parking is a little bit tight and they don't have a lot of parking stalls. Two of them are marked for 15 minutes only which is good if you're stopping in after calling in a pizza order. I treat my kids with a Pizza Dinner every now and then - they always love it every single time. We are a loyal customer of another Pizza House and decided to try Pizza Guys since they too deliver in our neighborhood. The ordering was easy through yelp and was given a wait time of at least 30 minutes. Not bad for a Sunday evening. After 30 minutes no Pizza came that I have to call them and the manager said they were backed up and has to wait another 30 minutes or so. It was almost 45 minutes from my call that the food was delivered but I have to call them again as the delivery crew forgot an item that I ordered as well. That is another 20 minutes in addition. I have ordered many times with the other Pizza House but they are prompt and and delivers the Pizza hot meanwhile the Pizza Guys was not only late but seem disorganized delivering items that the pizza arrived almost cold (if it came couple of minutes later then we could have eaten cold pizzas). The reason why I gave it a 3 star is because my youngest said "dad this is better than &@'$n*s" Nonetheless we enjoyed our dinner and probably will order again with the hope that they will be more organized and will deliver within the time frame they themselves decided. The customer service I received over the phone today was exceptional. When I was ordering online it said that my address could not be recognized but when I called the actual store the gentleman I spoke to immediately said I could order it online as a "pick up" and he would get it changed for me in the computer for delivery. He was extremely helpful accommodating and wonderful. The pizza came warm and fresh right when it was supposed to. My only recommendation would be for there to be less grease on the bottom.
