I'm very disappointed. I'm allergic to milk so I asked for dairy free cheese, which was fine but also pepperoni and mild sausage with olives. What I got was exactly 4 pieces of pepperoni zero pieces of Italian sausage and a ton of olives covered with plant-based cheese so you couldn't see any of it. The pizza was disgusting. There was asiago cheese on my pizza and it made the whole pizza taste absolutely bitter and nasty. They also cook the pizza too long and it is burnt all the time. It took way too long to be greeted initially and taken care of initially and then it took way too long for the pizza to come out of the oven. I think they cooked it way too long. It was about a 20 minute wait and it should not take that long which means they are over cooking it. The bathroom was disgusting. The salad was disgusting and sad looking. They do not put enough sauce on the pizza so the pizza was very dry and they do not put enough sauce on the salad. It's a good thing. I got a small salad salad because otherwise there was not enough sauce so the salad was dry. Finally, it is very gross that they touch the sharpie pen, which I'm sure has fallen on the floor numerous times and then they touch your food after touching the sharpie pen and then they put the paper slip with the permanent ink on it either right on top of your food or underneath it And I do not want sharpie ink on my food. They should do the sharpie at the very end or the very beginning, they should have somebody else handling the sharpie and then somebody else handling the food. That's how they should do it. I love MOD, but this location is the best I've been to! I've never had a bad cauliflower crust pizza here. Some of their team are better at evenly distributing sauces and toppings than others, but the pizzas always taste great and there's a wide variety of toppings and sauces to suit your tastebuds. They have some light wine and beer options as well as some non-alcoholic and non-soda options such as tea, lemonades, milks, juices, sparkling water, etc. The only things that would make this establishment even better would be to bring back the cinnamon dessert pizza and offer some cider options in addition to the wine/beer. read more

I think this chain caters to exactly who it is supposed to, large groups or families that don't all want the same pizza. A personal pizza that could easily feed one to two adults is approximately $15 or so? The pizza itself is good, fresh and made to order. The crust is very thin which I am fine with, there is a decent amount of toppings, and everything seems fresh. When you go in to the restaurant pretty much all you ever see in there is parents with their children. Which makes sense, everybody gets their own pizza and you're not completely breaking the bank. Wouldn't say the pizzas are amazing but they are definitely good, I think it's pretty hard to mess up pizza, plus they cook the pizza in a pizza oven which I can appreciate. read more

First time, all orders wrong, this time, I got a salami mushroom and seriously counted 4.5 pieces of salami and 7 small slivers of mushrooms. That is on 6 slices, do the math. Come on Mod, we're all paying for inflation but don't give me a roll of dough with $1.00 of toppings. My recommendation for all who see this? Support local. I've been coming to this location for years, but this visit on Jan 20th was incredibly underwhelming. I'm used to nearly everyone shouting "Welcome to MOD!" when you walk in the door, saying goodbye when you leave, actually paying attention when making your order, and so much more. Instead it seemed like I was a speed bump in their otherwise lackluster day. There were two other diners in the building... it was slow, no doubt. But the kid that made my pie didn't even add the extra cut or pesto finish to my paper, which meant I had to ask again when it was ready to pick up. All four employees I saw seemed more troubled by the fact I was there than actually helping me. At one point -- while making my order I should point out -- all of them were arguing about an employ e that apparently signed their name in the dough balls. Once I got my pizza, it had multiple bubbles in the crust and was burnt along one edge. With such a small crust and few topping, the char just made it taste like ash and wasn't great. I had the MOD cheese pizza. This time it was amazing. It was completely cooked through and the cheese to sauce ratio was absolutely perfect. The crust and the bottom of the pizza had the perfect crunchiness. I always like to put Parmesan cheese on top of my pizza. It gives so much UUMF to the pizza. 10/10 My boyfriend had the MOD build your own pizza. He had Alfredo sauce with spinach, ham, mozzarella and pesto sauce around the crust. He really enjoyed it. 8/10 For the garlic cheesy bread, we asked to do something a little different. We asked them to put pesto sauce on 1/4th of the dough to see how it would taste. It came out suuuuper yummy and crunchy but not too crunchy. I 100% recommended doing this. Mega size is the 11 inch with double the crust thickness of the MOD size. $10.27. They also have 3 types of salad. Plus they offer cheesy bread, cheesy garlic bread, and cinnamon sugar bread (pizza pie style). Milkshakes. No name cake (think W pie), which by the way does not have any HFCS. They also have a variety of sauces, cheeses, and toppings too choose from. MOD is vegan friendly as well. They have regular and gluten-friendly crusts, which are made without dairy and a variety of sauces and toppings to choose from. The Rocklin MOD is always clean. The staff are always nice and upbeat and vibe there is good. I don't usually order a traditional menu pizza, but rather create a MOD pizza of my liking. Ordering from the set menu definitely takes the guessing out of it if you're an undecided person. This time I got a regular MOD crust with red sauce and garlic rub, mozzarella cheese, arugula, basil, roasted broccoli, roasted garllic, mushrooms, red onions, roasted red peppers, mild sausage, ground beef, and salami. Went here yesterday, excited because this is my favorite build your own pizza place. I've been to this location a few times and decided this time I would review it. I went in planning to give 5 stars because I already know the quality and knew I would love it. I approached the assembly line. There was 1 other person have their pie made by one worker, and the other worker was tossing salad. I was fine with the fact that she was busy tossing salad and I could wait for the person making the other pie for the other customer. What upset me was neither of them addressed me, but looked at me in the eyes when I approached the line. A simple "we will be right with you" would've sufficed and made this 5 stars, but leaving the restaurant I just was annoyed by my experience. I actually waited a day to write the review to make sure I wasn't being unfair but still feel the same way today. So after the employee on the assembly line finished the one pie she had the other customer wait to pay to come make mine. The employee tossing the salad stopped and went to check the other customer out while my pie was being made. She started helping me with my order and just wasn't friendly at all. Seemed like this was the last place she wanted to be and it showed. We got through the line and I paid. Surprised I still left a nice tip despite her lack of presence. Order was called and I picked up my food. The food, as I expected was perfect. Glad I stopped here because it hit the spot. Had a mod size, pepperoni with mozzarella and bacon with garlic. Their srirancha sauce is amazing to dip with. Like I mentioned above, this was an easy 5 star, but the customer service was lacking.
