Saturday, 9/19/2026 - We were driving by this area and saw Skipolini and decided to try them. Address is 6600 Lonetree Blvd, Rocklin, CA 95765. There was plenty of parking when we arrived. Three wasn't too many people. I saw alot of empty tables. Maybe like 7 tables in the restaurant with a few people on each table. Upon arrival..... Pros 1) our table looked clean. 2) I saw a bar. But no one sitting there. 3) water tasted great. No dunky or metal taste. 4) we got baked cheese Ravioli, Cajun chicken and sausage, and a bowl of clam chowder. All tasted great! 5) I saw a game of corn hole outside and a children's playground. 6) there's seating outside and fan above some tables. 7) there was also a large fire place outside. 8) saw there's a little room with desserts. Cons 1) it looked like there's only one lady seating and serving everyone. 2) took a while for the one server to come take our orders. 3) we never got water refills. We needed it. 4) the only one server in the restaurant never checked back with our table in case we needed anything else. 5) we had to flag her down several times for things, including for our tab. This too took time. 6) one of the utensil on our table was dirty and one had finger prints on it. We didn't use that set. 7) Conclusion Our foods were great. There were plenty of parking. Restaurant was quiet. No music or anything. Ambiance was nice. The only complaint I had was why was there only 1 server. This made service really slow. Took a while to take our orders. No water was able to get refilled. No one was able to check back on our table in case we needed anything else. Which we did. Slow just to get a couple of to-go boxes and our tab. These are just some of my complaints. But besides this. There is outside seating, corn hole game and a playground for kids. If you drink, I saw a bar there. But it was empty while I was there. You can check this place out and see yourself. Maybe your experience will be different from mine. read more

"What's Going On" (Marvin Gaye.) Skipolini's in Rocklin was our "go-to" restaurant for pizza - all meat and chicken garlic. Expensive but worth it. My family and I stopped by Skipolini's again on a Saturday evening, and it was a great experience. I ordered the Tuscan Panini, and it was absolutely mouthwatering and full of flavor. Our server did an excellent job and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal. I previously left a 4-star review after an issue with my steak being served too rare, but I'm happy to say that this visit was a much better experience. The food, service, and overall atmosphere were all excellent. We really enjoyed our time here and will definitely continue coming back. There's just so many places to go and things to try in this area that it takes time to get around... this time there wasn't a large group, it was just the family. The pizza and pasta were great! Although I'm giving a 3 star, just know....the pizza is amazing and all the employees are super nice. It was a HOT day, so it was nice to walk in because they had the AC on. After sitting at the table for a minute, it was actually getting really cold. We placed our order for a family size half cheese half pepperoni pizza, bacon wrapped jalapeños, garlic bread. I was hoping it would be old fashioned garlic bread, but its a flat bread with cut in triangles with cheese on top. The jalapeños were good, and pizza is amazing. The first time they came to our table, they brought two pizzas and placed them down. I let the guy know it was not our order. He apologized, took one, said he would go find out what happened, and walked away leaving one pizza at our table. He then came back a couple minutes later and picked up the pizza and brought ours. After we ate, it did take a long time to get our bill; but it was getting pretty crowded. Our waitress was really nice, and she was always at a table or at the bar helping someone. Wife asked me to pick up the labor inducing pizza. It's an expensive pizza, but it is loaded with a lot of quality toppings. This is a special event/fine dining pizza. This isn't an everyday Domino's pizza. While it did not induce labor, it was still a good pizza. When I picked up the order, I entered through the pick up side entrance. The waiter that was helping was very friendly. While I live far from this place, I would go back when I am in the Roseville area. The place has nice decorations and seems family friendly. read more

Pasta lunch [Rocklin CA] It's been a minute since our last meal here at Skipolini's. Took my second child here for lunch since she likes her pastas. Sunday lunch hour was not too busy and we were seated right away. She ordered her favorite, the PAPPARDELLE BOLOGNESE and I chose their SHRIMP SCAMPI. Food was served at a decent time, in fact, it was amazingly fast. Our server checked on us about twice during the duration of our lunch providing friendly and attentive service. You would think with these ingredients my Shrimp Scampi would be flavorful (sautéed shrimp, lemon, garlic, white wine, and tomatoes tossed with spaghetti pasta and parmesan cheese) for me it was a bit bland. Stopped in with the family for some pizza. Dough is fresh, the kids got a piece of uncooked dough to play with. When they're not busy the little ones get to build their own pizza, which is nice. We ordered pepperoni and olives for half of a pizza, extra olives. We didn't get receive it but wait staff was nice and apologetic. Got the "PREGO" and gave birth the following morning at work. LOL. - Pizza is always good. Ingredients were fresh and crust bake to perfection. Yummy.. -First time at this location, usually frequent the Folsom spot. I guess i'm just use to what I'm familiar with and think the regular spot is just a little bit better. - Shrimp Scampi was delicious. Pasta was al dente, and sauce was spot on. Service is excellent and so is the food. We had a company party here and had a table for 24 people. Our items were placed ahead of time. The pizzas are very good and well seasoned. I am usually not a fan of salads, but their house salad was very good. Servers are very friendly and makes sure you have everything you need. 1st time ever visit. Me & spouse Yelp Elite Barbara S. for dinner. Friendly greeting. Immediate seating. Prompt arrival of server. Drinks ordered. Delivered in 4 minutes. A fairly spacious dining room. About 1/2 full. Everybody has pizza on their table. Do they know something? Barb and me decide to be iconoclasts. She orders chicken piccata. I order flank steak. For the opener we share a small Skip's salad. It's plenty big, tasty ans satisfying. Entrees arrive 14 minutes later. Nice plate presentation. But then, uh-ooh, there's a problem. After the first bite of my risotto I taste that there is something sour and not supposed to be there. I eat 4 forkfuls more. Then Barbara tastes the rissotto and says " Stop eating that, it is spoiled!" I have to agree with her. We tell the server and the manager. Much conversation ensues, nothing confrontational. Manager tastes nothing off. Barb and I insist that it's not the aroma of the cheese, but the abborio rice has been out for too many hours at room temperature. Spoiled rice can cause sever sickness. People have actually died from eating 2 day old rice that has been left out on the kitchen counter for 2 days. I know this, I'm Italian, I've eaten risotto since an infant. I'm 74 years old now. So we lend our advice on safe food procedures. The manager is grateful that we are not being assholes. Comped tiramisu dessert. $89 bill with tax and tip. Fine. This place is in our regular rotation of go-to places for dinner. The pizzas are one of our favorite items to order here. They're even able to make it with non dairy cheeses. My husband and I went to Skipolini's for the first time today around 1:45. Our server didn't address our table for over 10 minutes, and then rushed us to order. We were never brought silverware, my husband had to ask for a fork for his steak. No napkins, had to ask for those as well and then got attitude from the server. The food was subpar, my husbands steak was overcooked and looked like rubber. The bruschetta tasted sour and my meatball sandwich was bland. My stomach is also upset immediately after eating. Our server asked if we wanted to order something else, but after that experience we didn't want anything else. We had to ask for them to take it off our bill. The service took longer than expected. Came out to Skipolinis to support Ruhkala Elementary fundraiser. We ordered the Skip's Dip and Bruxelles Fritti. The Skip's Dip was a classic Italian started oil and vinegar dip. The bread was fresh and warm. The Bruxelles Fritti was delicious. I would def order again. We also ordered a family size Cesar salad--so good. I'm pretty sure they make their dressing in house. For the entree we ordered the legendary Prego Pizza. It has every topping you can imagine. I think it was good but would have been better if it cooked a little bit longer. It was slightly over done. It was a busy restaurant--it's Friday night. Our server was great and stayed on top of refills and other needs (ranch, napkins,drinks). This was my first time visiting the Rocklin location. The service was great and fast. They also have a good selection of beer, although it is not on the menu. The food I had was okay. It lacked flavor. It looked amazing, but all you tested was pesto. I understand that was the main component, but the chicken should have flavor. The garlic fry was not great either. Lasagna was watery, food was luke warm. We were the only table there. Server was kind, but forgot essentials. Pizza was alright, meatball sandwich was great but fries were extremely oily. There's no care in the food, especially that lasagna which had sauce splattered all around the plate. Which leads to another star for the aggressive pricing.. the desserts are overpriced for what seems like very mediocre slices of cake and very watery gelato. This is a decent place for pizza and pasta. We did the pasta. I've been a few times. The service is very friendly but can be a bit slow. The food is good. On my previous visits I recall the food was maybe a bit better? The last visit I would have to say it was good but wasn't properly seasoned. I ordered the Spaghetti with meatballs and I'd have to say the sauce and to a lesser extent the meatballs needed a bit of acid like maybe some lemon juice or white wine, a bit of pepper, and a lot of salt. I almost never add salt but I had to here. The portion was decent and came with a bit of bread. The other Italian place nearby does not offer bread and this place does with some entrees but doesn't do a bread basket. I don't know when that stopped being a thing but I wish it would come back. Here's my big gripe. I wanted to get some ice cream or gelato for dessert and they have an entire foyer whose purpose is to display and sell the ice cream but apparently it closes at some point. We came in at 7pm and left around 8pm (they close at 9?) and no ice cream was available for dessert. I guess none of the 3 or 4 cooks doing not much of anything in the kitchen can walk into the freezer and scoop a couple of bowls. Shoved a machine at me when I asked for check- no itemized bill provided or receipt even though I selected the option for it. She literally stood over me the whole time and snatched it away the second I was finished inputting my card. Again- where was my actual bill!?? I don't think I'll be back. We like coming here because I love love love their house salad. They also have a pizza on the children's menu where the kids assemble their own pizza and then it's baked up. We have had really good service, and really bad service. It's hit or miss. The last visit my daughter ordered a coffee and it tasted horrible I asked the the waitress to remove it from our bill (it cost like 4 bucks). She came back and had removed 2 dollars. For my Mom and Dad Friends on yelp. Do yourself a favor and ask to be seated on the patio and let your monsters (I mean kids) go play on the play structure while you enjoy a nice night and some sparkling rose. The cajun pasta is a go to for me and I usually have enough to eat the next day. My Son is always a fan of the build your own pizza and brags about how cool it is he made to anyone around who will listen. They have a great selection of happy hour food/drinks and the service is pretty good. Shout out to the bar tender there and her peaches. No really (no HR case here), she brings her own peaches and makes the BEST sangria you could think of. Came here last night while waiting for our movie. The place was pretty packed and service was great. I went to the restroom to wash my hands and it was also very clean. My favorite is the deep fried green beans! They were perfectly crispy and very flavourful. The dressings were delicious and all of them tasted homemade. I haven't had an Italian soda in years and it brought back wonderful memories. I ordered the strawberry one with cream. We also enjoyed ice cream after wards (not pictured) but it was delicious! They have a separate seating area for this and it's a cute spot! Looking forward to my next visit to try more dishes. read more
