I found this place on a whim. Had my kids with me and they were not too excited until we walked inside and they saw they could put whatever they wanted on their own pizza. The pizza was awesome, the size was perfect, and the price was totally reasonable. I went back A couple weeks later with some family just to try it again, and they loved it too. This time we did take out. The service was awesome the people making the pizzas were super friendly and again my kids loved all the choices. I will continue to go back. read more

The only reason I am rating this so low is because of the service. I love mod pizza, don't get me wrong, but I don't think I've ever been more astonished at someone's attitude at an establishment before. We hadn't had bad service before and I really didn't want to write this review, but we haven't been back since so I felt it affected our opinion of mod enough to write a review about it. My boyfriend and I went to mod about a month ago, to get our usual pizzas and cinnamon strips. Going through the pizza line was a less than enjoyable experience, with the girl's attitude behind the counter seeming pretty irritated at something, rushing us through the line with little exchange or eye contact, and it made us both slightly uncomfortable. It happens. But once we got to the end of the counter after paying for the food, the girl we encountered that was in charge of sauces and boxing pizza was one of the rudest people I have ever met. When we asked for a side of srirancha, she huffed and puffed rather loudly, and once she grabbed some, she had only grabbed one. We kindly asked if she could grab another one, and to her dismay apparently, had to fill another one up. She not only didn't fill it all the way, but literally slammed it down on the counter in front of us with a very rude "here" before stomping away. At this point even my boyfriend couldn't believe the blatant rudeness we were receiving for no apparent reason. While all of this was happening, the person who I assumed was the manager was chatting up the other girls and scrolling through his phone. We haven't been back since, which is disappointing since the food is so good. Employees really can make or break an establishment! read more

I've tried both the mod sized pizza and salad and the ingredients always taste fresh and the service is fast even when there's a line. I would have given them 5 stars if the people working up front spent more time talking with the customers and less time talking amongst themselves. read more

I love this place, I was so tired and hungry. I wanted to try them for a while and it was way better then I expected. 7 minutes and big smiles on the employees which is always nice and comforting when someone is handling your dinner. It was really a surprisingly great pizza and affordable nice bubbly thin crust. Going back soon. Toppings were great too. read more

I have eaten at this MOD Pizza twice and really enjoyed it. I live in Reno and I was on my way home tonight and stopped and got 3 MOD pizzas to go. I should have looked at them first because when I got back to Reno and opened the boxes, the pizza was totally burned. It was so bad that my hands had soot all over them just trying to eat it. Also, the dough wasn't nice and round like normal, there was huge gaps all the way around between 1 to 2 inches away from the edge. Very very disappointed. read more

Undercooked pizza they do not have a lot of ingredients (compared to blast) but just enough. Pizza didn't taste great, maybe because it was undercooked. Staff was young and very unaware of customers needs (waiting in line for to-go boxes unnoticed). Bottom line go check out blast across the street (& they have a punch card too)! Or my ultimate favorite Bedda Pizza. ***update from previous review*** 11/25/16: gave MOD another chance. Increased stars to 4. It took 3+ months to get a $25 gift card to give MOD a third chance. This time was by far the best of my 3 experiences. Pizza was wonderful. My two complaints are that there are NO BABY CHANGING TABLES! My 1.5 year old had a diaper situation and I had to put my portable flimsy changing pad on the very grimy tile in the bathroom. Also there was no soap. Restaurant was not packed so attention to the restrooms should have been better. read more

Yum! To me MOD Pizza is an even better version of Blaze Pizza. I was really impressed. I got the BBQ chicken pizza. It was super yummy. Crust was crispy and there was a good amount of BBQ sauce on the pizza along with lots of the toppings. I could only eat half of my pizza but I snuck into my leftovers a few hours later and chowed down. They had both a blackberry lemonade and a caramelized pear iced tea. They were both so good. I think I drank enough to float away. I went back and filled up my cup repeatedly between the two drinks. I am strictly a water drinker and never get an actual drink but these were AMAZING! We went sat April 23rd, the girl seemed to know what she was doing but wasn't very friendly or welcoming. Actually non of the staff seemed too happy to be there( I get making pizzas isn't everyone's dream...) and moved at a snails pace and it wasn't very busy. Turned out the girl was a trainee....anyways...pizza was good we both made our own, pieology seems to be my fave fast pizza place but this place would be second just on taste. Their house made beverages however are OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! I'd go just for those! Anyways if the service was brought up a level it could be five stars. Still go and enjoy : ) read more

This may become my family's go-to pizza place! There's a lot of these choose-your-own topping pizza places popping up but MOD, I believe, is the only one where you can order a pizza creation already on their menu and then ADD any topping -and as much of it as you want- on top of that! The crust is good and they also offer three different pizza sizes. Price is also very reasonable. read more

just going to give my honest opinion of this place so here it goes! I have been to Blast 825 & decided to try this place with high hopes only to be completely disappointed. There crust is like cardboard and extremely chewy to the point where my jaw hurt after 2 pieces! You can tell that there crust isn't hand stretched like blast 825. there sauces were not at all appetizing & they only have one type of cheese? the toppings were super skimpy & not very much to choose from.. I was charged over $13 for one pizza with no drinks. I hated this place, so I went to blast the next day.. I honestly recommend blast over this place. not at all good & not to mention I didn't appreciate the girls picking up their lobby & people's mess in a mini skirt & combat boots around my children. The environment wasn't good either so I only give them one star, they have a lot to do to to get this place even comparable to blast 825 across the street.. Not impressed. read more

OK. I was hoping this would be good. I went here because I received a two for one coupon in the mail. The place looked nice and clean so that was a plus. I told them that I wanted no cheese, just sauce, pineapple and bell peppers. First of all, they hardly put any sauce on at all, kind of like they were saving it for the rest of the day. Next, the toppings were so scarce, that I hardly got one piece of pineapple on each slice of pizza. The overall taste? Very bland to say the least. This pizza is not satisfying what so ever. I ate two "mod" pizzas and they hardly filled me up. Kind of like getting some saltine crackers with a bit of tomato sauce. Go to Pizza Guys. read more

On the way back from work, my general manager and I stopped at MOD Pizza. One of my roommates had mentioned good pizza there. We stopped in and unfortunately were disappointed off the bat. It took about 30 seconds to be greeted, as 3 different employees looked at us silently. The greeting was not hello or welcome, but rather something to the effect of "I'll be with you shortly." Minimal eye contact. She washed her hands, but then reached into her back pocket and put on used (polyethylene?) gloves. No.... My general manager had been there before; I hadn't. We said as much, but even after some clearly newbie questions by me, I wasn't walked along the process well. Just had to keep asking. One positive there was when my pizza was passed to the other employee on the line for meats and cheeses, the first acknowledged that the other would take care of me. While we ate, we noticed an employee come off lunch break without washing hands straight into cutting pizza slices. No.... Ingredients looked fine! Pizza was decent, though crust was a bit thin and bland-tasting. Choices of fountain dispenser beverages were pretty neat and uncommon (free refills!). Temperature inside was comfortable. Overall not a bad pizza, nice create-your-own with unlimited toppings, but turned off by cleanliness and customer service. read more

I rate this a 3 because of the energy of the place. The staff is a bit lackluster compared to the three other locations I patronize. Not sure what their deal is but it's evident something is amiss, especially with the stocky, brown hair guy who helped build my pizza. His demeanor during his 2 tasks was very off putting! There have been a lot of places opening recently that specialize in quick personal pizzas. I have tried Blaze previously and was somewhat disappointed. MOD had better flavor and seemed a bit fresher. I will be back to try this again, but I still suggest people try local pizza places like Primo's or La Fornaretta. read more

We've ordered 6 pizzas total within both trips and every single on was burnt and had a nasty burnt flavor. They skimp on toppings and just don't come anywhere close to being a good fast fired pizza. These little pizza places that are popping up everywhere are awesome. Fast food pizza.Crazy quick, very affordable and really tasty food. MOD offers all those things and more. Employees are very young and very friendly. High schoolers table touching!I would have given four stars, however all four employees leaning over the incredible selection of topping are not wearing hair nets or anything preventing finding that stomach turning hair in your pie. It must start and end with impeccable hygiene. At least gloves were worn. Give it a try. Perfect for after kids sports games. Adding some TV's with live sports would add a lot more potential. read more
