11 inch pizza w/red sauce, bacon bits, roasted garlic, diced tomatoes and mozzarella
Susan H.

Actually, more like 3 1/2 stars We had tried MOD Pizza once in Ashburn and thought it was OK. This past Saturday, we decided to order 2 of their pizzas through Doordash. Their pizzas come in 2 different sizes---6 inch and 11 inch. We opted for the 11 inch ones thinking that if we get full, we could always save the leftovers for later. We both choose the default crust which is thin. I added red sauce, mozzarella cheese, roasted garlic, chopped tomatoes and bacon. My husband added red sauce, mozzarella cheese, sausage, mushrooms, roasted garlic and red onion. Doordash got the pizzas to us in a very timely fashion meaning that they were still hot when we got them. This was an inexpensive dinner---2 pizzas before the tip, tax and delivery fee cost $27 + change. As for the pizzas---for the most part we enjoyed them. My one critique of my pizza was that the bacon seemed to have an off taste. The best way to describe it is this way---Ever put leftover food in the fridge but didn't cover it then when you went to eat it, it had picked up odors of other items in the fridge? Yeah...I think that's what happened to the bacon. My husband thought that the default crust was too thin and thought that getting a thicker crust would have been better. He thought the thin crust caused the pizza to get dried out while it was baked. Otherwise---We both thought the pizzas were decent. It surprised us both that we were able to eat them without feeling full. If you order a MOD Pizza be sure to temper your expectations. It's a middle of the road pizza. In other words, you won't be getting a pizza like one from Grimaldi's or John's in NYC or Regina's in Boston. Since we didn't set foot in the place, I can't speak to the ambiance. We will order from them again but I agree with my husband when it comes to the crust. The thicker crust would have made a big difference.

Staff not wearing mask correctly.

Besides waiting to be greeted, I would appreciate the staff to wear their mask correctly, if they're going to wear a mask. This is a friendly and nice establishment. But around food, I think it's not too much to ask. Greeting upon arrival and wearing mask correctly. Thank you,

Hair in my pizza
Andrea F.

Ordered pizza online for the first time tonight from this place. While eating my pizza I pulled a looonnngg piece of hair out of my mouth and it's not mine. I'm disgusted and sad. Update: I called to let them know about the hair in my food. They said they would refund my order and tell the person with the super long thick hair to wear a hair net. I never received the refund. Update Update: I received a refund of my order today. Thank you

Select your size ... then one price no matter the topping.... go through line to pick toppings.... what could be better???? Love the thin crust and that they work hard to get things the way you want. What I don't like which costs them a star.... hate their metal chairs .... uncomfortable.... while it's great they have a front and a side door it causes it to be draft and cold....they also need more seating at lunch when they are slammed. Plus it's just noisy inside due to the industrial decor of metal and cement... there is background music but it just adds to the chaos. Overall a great value IMO.... plus I love that it's next to Michaels craft .... yes I'm a crafting fool....

We got our pizzas "to-go" and weren't disappointed. As a person with several dietary restrictions I LOVED that they didn't charge per topping. GIVE ME ALL THE VEGGIES. They also have dairy free cheese! They offer three pizza sizes, we opted for their "Mod" or medium, and it was plenty for one person and you may have a slice or two left over.

Mod pizza salad- takeout comes like this.
Katie S.

Mod Pizza is an easy stop for me for lunch. I've ordered online twice and both times I have been happy with my experience. The first time it was crazy crowded and I had to wait forever to pick up my salad. The second time my pizza crust wasn't ready when I got there, so the manager handed me a cup (I never order a drink) and told me to hang out for a bit. No problem, it was nice of him to do so. The ingredients are good. Everything is fresh and high quality. They offer lots of choices and are relatively quick. I will say they seem to be slightly disorganized, and tend to overdress the salads, but I am still happy to have them in the lunch rotation. It's nice to find non-boring salads for a reasonable price!

The first time I went, I got a MOD-sized pizza with the white sauce and garlic rub.

you can't ever go wrong with shake shack!…read more i usually get a chicken sandwich, but i tried a shackburger this visit and it was really good. i dined in and ate my meal there, so everything was fresh and still at the perfect temps. service was good and the place was clean. the only thing is the price $22 for a burger, fries and small drink is crazy.

The food was dry and lacked zest, and crunch, and they had with no sauces, outside the basic mustard, ketchup, mayo, and some bland ranch and Tabasco. The worst of all was the cost; for such small quantity and poor dull quality, one sandwich and small fries was ~$16. Nando's would have been a significantly better alternative; they have a variety of sauces/flavors, a unique vibe, ample veggie options, zest and more quantity for what you pay. This place looks nice and clean, but the quality and quantity - for what you pay - is lackluster and subpar. Their average ~2 stars I see on here is justified. Maybe just for their shakes they're good, but for their foods, Burger King would even be a better alternative. 1.5 stars.

In search of the best tacos on the planet? If so, this could very well be the place, here at…read morebartaco (Reston, Virginia). I've probably had thousands of tacos in my lifetime. And, I'm not sure if this place serves the best tacos on the planet, but I can say that they certainly serve the best tacos that I've ever had! I came here just after flying into Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), nonstop from Los Angeles (LAX). I hadn't eaten since I was in Los Angeles because I refuse to eat that terrible airplane food. Needless to say, I was pretty hungry by the time I arrived. I walked in without a reservation, at about 9pm, and they appeared to be moderately busy. Shortly after entering a friendly hostess guided me to a comfortable booth. As I looked around this business, I was immediately pleased with the "cool vibe" that this place had. Several folks were either dining together or socializing at the bar. My immediate thought was that this would be a really pleasant place to take someone special on a date. Shortly after being seated, a waitress stopped by my table and introduced herself. Her name was Alayna. Seeing that I was new to this restaurant, she quickly went over the menu and other details unique to this restaurant. She was also careful to ask if I had any food allergies, because a lot of folks have these. I told her how much I appreciated her focus on this because two of my kids have food allergies that I have to watch out for. I ordered a pomegranate limonada to drink, which was incredibly refreshing. For my first round of tacos, I ordered the "baja fish" taco, the "roasted duck" taco, and the "sesame ribeye" taco. For my second round, I ordered the "carne asada" taco, the "yukatán shrimp" taco, and the "crispy oyster" taco. And boy, these tacos not only satisfied my hunger, they were all absolutely delicious! Throughout my experience here, Alayna was incredibly professional, attentive, and pleasant. If you're ever in the Reston area, I would highly recommend that you stop by here for a meal. This was a solid five-star experience!
