Okay, I'm a fan. Note to self. Don't order GF crust when you don't have a gluten allergy; the GF crust was a bit too dense/dry/hard to swallow. Highly recommend you make your own pizza for the fun of it. Was pleased to see that roasted corn and pineapple are toppings. Loved that there was not a limit to how many meats and toppings you could select. Perfect place for a quick lunch! I also recommend you avoid ordering the pizza concoctions that have garlic in it. From my experience, that entails them rubbing garlic onto your dough, then adding a generous helping of chopped raw garlic to your pizza. Love the pizza and now my favorite pizza place. A LOT of topping choices and the people there are very friendly and inviting. Pizza is about 11 inches and you can put as many topping as you want. They don't do that b.s. move that some other places do where you can put up to X number of toppings then charge you extra for an additional toppings. I think I put about 15+ topping on my pizza (It looks like a mini mountain). They have about 20+ types of toppings. Crust and sauces are great. The ingredients are so fresh that when I make my mini mountain pizza, I can actually taste every topping. The pizza is just as good the next day when it's cold. I went to this establishment during their lunch rush one Monday. Customer service very good. The people were patient and helpful with creating my pizza. The options available were plentiful and kept orderly (no meat in the veggies!). I am not a vegetarian, but I appreciate seeing a clean workstation during the lunch rush. The one star demotion is for the milk shake and pizza I ordered. The chocolate milk shale was not blended well. Much of the chocolate syrup remained on the sides and above the rest of the shake. It was also a little small for the cost. The pizza was okay. I found the dough a little salty but that is my personal preference. I would give this location another try. read more

The gentleman who helped me at the time was by himself in the morning and handled helping out a new customer like a pro. He walked me through the ordering process, the menu , and even made some suggestions on how to make my pizza tastier . During check out, I wasn't ordering any that morning but had questions about the beer and wine selection. He let me sample a couple and was very knowledgeable on the details, tastes and vendors. I'm an experience kind of person, even if the food is subpar the customer service will bring me back if excellent. They gave it away to a different customer even though the first thing that is done is to put your name on every order. It completely baffles me. The pizzas were outstanding -- the kids initially had no interest in trying anything new but once they saw the cheese pizza, they caved and ate the whole thing! I had the BBQ chicken with gorgonzola and my husband had a spicy Italian sausage pie and everyone was in heaven. Thomas and the crew made sure everything came out hot and fast and were friendly and engaging. The MOD pizza in Reston has been a favorite lunch location for me and my wife for the past couple of years. As with all MOD franchises, the pizzas and salads are made-to-order, in either small (mini-) or regular (mod-) size, allowing the customer to choose any toppings or ingredients they like from the options offered, and the price remains the same for a given size meal, regardless. All pizzas are effectively thin-crust, but there is also a double-crust pizza option. However, I have never tried that. The Mod-size pizza is a decent-sized meal in itself, and frequently, I eat two slices and box up the other two to take home. My sons also enjoy MOD's milk shakes. Service is attentive and prompt, but long lines can form near lunchtime or dinnertime, so get there early to beat the rush, or else arrive off the normal meal times to avoid those lines. All in all, great food, great options, at a great price. You can order in person or online to dine-in or to carry out. I have eaten at multiple MOD pizzerias in Northern Virginia, and this is one of the two best at not scorching the pizzas or punching holes in them. read more

Here's a tip... If you're not a fan of topping on your pizza. Go somewhere else. The pizza is very good and they have vegan options but the employees need some customer service training. This was my first time and the menu was a bit overwhelming so it took me a minute to get my bearings. I was the ONLY customer in line. The pizza maker grabbed a medium crust without asking me what size I wanted and I didn't realize until I moved over to the pickup area that they offer a more personal and smaller size. Anyway, during the making of the pizza, I asked her if they had non-dairy cheese; she said yes but then didn't add the cheese until all the other toppings were on and I again asked for it. After she finished with toppings she didn't explain what would happen next or how long it would take. She just put my pizza on the counter and began pulling out pans of garlic(?) from the pizza oven and stirring them. Another employee eventually came out and attended to the pizza cooking, but it was just weird that these two had no customer interaction. Loved the pizza. The very nice young lady that took my order wrote down "no peppers" however, the peppers were added and they had to make the pizza all over again. My order was "to go" and when I got home, noticed that they forgot to put the pesto drizzle. I also ordered the garlic strips with ranch dipping sauce, but they put pesto sauce in the box.
