We frequent a couple of different Mod Pizzas in the east valley, depending on where we are in the moment. We have been to this location a couple of times. Staff was friendly and helpful and they were quick to say someone would be with us momentarily. It was dinner time and the store was bit busy, which is a good thing! We both chose the make your own, I got the Mod and wife ordered the Mega. While the person in front was making their order, I looked over the many different toppings, make note of a couple of things: The spinach was a bit wilted, the mushrooms were brown and didn't look healthy at all. I was a bit worried because these are two items I typically put on my pizza. I asked for chicken, artichoke hearts and I asked for the young man to pick through the spinach so he was putting healthy looking leaves on the pizza...he accommodated. I always get the garlic and olive oil base with mozzarella and today was no different. Added some olives and that completed the order for my pizza. Wife ordered hers and we also decided to get a Caesar Salad (Mega size) that we would share. A different young man proceeded to make the salad and the first container of lettuce he pulled was not looking good...mushy leaves, brown leaves, yech! He realized it as well and put that bin to the side and grabbed another one from down below. That bin was somewhat better but truth be told, I didn't eat it once we got home because I am very picky when it comes to lettuce and this just wasn't what I want when it comes to salad. I will say their dressing is good and I ordered two cups. We also love their No Name Cakes...think a better tasting Ding Dong! Overall the experience was ok, except for the salad. Do not order from "Mod Fresh" on DoorDash. It's a waste of time and money. It's a ghost kitchen, inside of Mod Pizza, where they basically use bagged salad greens and old pizza toppings and you can make "create your own salads". We ordered 2 custom salads and it took 2 and a half hours to arrive. The lettuce was wilted, the toppings were sparse and tasted old, and the ranch smelled and tasted rotten. We had some Hidden Valley in the fridge luckily and just tossed the dressings to be safe. I'm not sure how bad the actual pizza is here, but their salads are bad quality and overpriced. read more

Everything went very smoothly while I was ordering when your staff asked, "Your name is Owen, is that correct?" Since I hadn't been in your restruant for more than 6 months, I was astonished that Ayiannah remembered me, and my name! I mentioned this to Ammon when picking up my order. He said that he remembered me too! Again, I was amazed! I have no good reason why I haven't been in your restaurant for so long, and I was not a very frequent guest. But these two, remembering me, will certainly make me return often and tell my friends. Since my last order I noticed the prices have gone up; like most everything and everywhere. While waiting I noticed how well those two staff interacted with each other. While working together, they had lots of smiles and laughs! It's always something with this place. They forgot a topping on one of my 4 pizzas to go. I asked them to just throw it on and run it through the oven for a minute. Was told they could t because it was cut and it would have to be remade. I mentioned them i would have 3 cold pizzas while i wait for the fourth. "Sorry" was all I got. After dropping off the pizzas for my family, I noticed it was missing two toppings and went back to have them remake. Additionally, the online order system is set up to tip on a pre-discount amount. Ammon greeted me immediately and smiled. He was quick and kind to take the order. I ordered a pepperoni pizza for my brother in law and a salad for my mother-in-law. I was in and out in no time flat and everything was fresh and beautiful. When I chose the dressing for the salad, one of them, he definitely said was a pretty amazing. So there is a lady working right now. She's the only female working at the moment. I've come in for the past year, requested siracha as my base sauce. Firstly it's delicious. But they always have to retrieve the bottle. No big deal. I leave a tip every time. But today this lady said loud enough to be heard, "we don't offer siracha!" My dude who made the pizza just plugged on. Now i could have just been thankful but when i said to the lady, thank you. She ignored me. I get it that she may have been irritated at my pizza, hence the tip, BUT!!! You're welcome...that is the phrase that follows thank you. Am i to think therefore that I'm not welcome. This is actually our second interaction about the siracha, the previous time she refused to get siracha and i said, no problem, red sauce is fine. Who doesn't want to be able to create their own personal sized pizza?! I know we did, so that's why we decided to stop on in!! It was Saturday evening around 5:30pm and it was surprisingly not too busy. There were about 8 customers ahead of us, but the line moved relatively quickly. We got to the window and the first employee we interacted with was very friendly. We proceeded down the line and we interacted with 3 other employees. We ended up getting two 11in sized pizzas and our total was $17. Each pizza i believe is about $7.97. I ordered mine with regular marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, spicy chicken sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, black olives, green peppers, onion, and light jalapeños. Phew yes, those are a ton of toppings but the good thing is they don't charge you more per topping! You can get as many toppings as you like all for the same price! YAAAY! Seating is not an issue here as there is plenty of it. They even have a cute outdoor patio! We sat down and waited for our food. We waited about 15 minutes from when we paid. They don't do buzzers or anything, but they call out by your name when it's ready to get picked up. Our pizzas came out freshly baked from their super cool brick oven. Ugh the cheese would just fall right off our pizza! We did dig in right away, because you definitely want to eat your pizza as soon as it comes out. My pizza was great and cooked perfectly! They have sauces as well for you to pick from when you pick up your pizza. We decided to get some good ol' ranch. They have various different drinks to pick from and they have free water cups by the soda machine! We will definitely be back! We had a wonderful experience and our pizzas were delish. read more

Be aware, we never get sick or have stomach bugs it was very apparent that right after we ate here the symptoms progressed so quickly, ingredients must not be getting swapped out regularly or some bad cross contamination. Came here with all of my family for my daughters 20th Birthday dinner. She wanted pizza as our Pizza nights each week are Tuesday's and since her birthday fell on a Tuesday it was perfect timing. This location is further from our home but it is located in a familiar area and right next to a Starbucks so it's easy to find. Ambiance: This can be a hard category during this COVID-19 world we live in...however it was clean and tidy and they even had a few areas set up for groups of 6 people (we were 7 so we just added another chair) which was nice to see. We were greeted warmly and the employees seems to be on a good mood. Food: These have a pretty descent menu on the wall with many pre selected pizza options from meat to vege to a few unorthodox combinations but all in all easy to read and then order at the COUNTER when your ready. Once ordered you can watch them add your toppings and they always ask if you ant to add anything to your pizza . My son who is simple just went plain cheese , wife did the meat, daughter did a bbq chicken pizza, one did a pepper pizza and I did the pesto vege. All were very tasty and an 11" pizza for a person is plenty of food. The toppings were fresh and the oven literally only took about 5-6 min for all of ours to be done so we were eating very quickly and it was hiot! Value: With these type of places it can sometimes be a gamble for value as some are really greasy and expensive but this was actually very good for value. Price was about $8 per person which is reasonable for a 11" pizza which could be like a dominos medium but the toppings and taste were much better. If your hankering for a pizza and want something you can create or that isnt mainstream with no place to sit then this is a great spot to come and is family friendly. read more

MOD Pizza beat all my expectations as to what a chain pizza joint is. I was anticipating food that was so-so, overly expensive, cheap tasting, and with a long cook time. My wife is allergic to dairy and had eaten here in the past because of the dairy free cheese offered. I begrudgingly agreed to go with her and was surprised by the clean, friendly, and modern environment inside. The pizza was well priced and the topping selection was incredible - especially that there is no charge or cap for toppings. There are gluten free and dairy free accommodations that perform well and met my satisfaction. I got the thick dough type pizza and had some for the next day. I had gotten drinks, filled them, and barely sat down when the pizzas were done cooking. Super efficient service. I really think other pizza places have things to learn from MOD Pizza - topping availability and friendliness, dairy and gluten free options (NOT ALTERNATIVES; aka, gluten free salad but not gluten free pizza? Not working for me), and a front that is actually nice and comfy to be in, not gritty or grimy or greasy. MOD Pizza smells like great pizza, not cooking oil. read more

I'll give this place a two star review only for the food. The staff was unbelievably rude and unfriendly. This is first time at Mod Pizza and I really hope that this other locations have friendlier staff. Every time something was requested it either came with an eye roll, a tossed pan, or grumbling. It felt like an imposition, just being customers there. The most unfriendly person was the manager himself, so who can you even complain to? Just Yelp, I guess. My daughter is vegan and he didn't change gloves in between handling animal and vegan products, which is standard procedure. He was also very upset to be asked to change gloves, tossing them aside in his irritation. I hope corporate reads these reviews as we aren't the only customers complaining about the service, either on Yelp or in the actual store tonight. read more

We like mod and hate to leave a 1 star but absolutely sick of the staff. Went in tonight and there are 3 employees. First one takes order since it's 4 pizzas and is writing them on the brown paper. 2 pizzas have only 3 toppings but extra on those 3. She gets an attitude and says "that's a lot of toppings". Bitch really? So it would have been better to say we want all 80 toppings you offer?? Second guy is making the pizzas and whatever was extra he's counting out 8 items like he's paying for the toppings out of his own pocket but my lite pepperoni turned into extra. Go figure. My salad I tell him what I want and croutons was one thing and he didn't even add. 3rd chick rings me up. She is also the one taking the pizzas in and out of oven. Total came up to $45 and some change. Give her a $100 bill. She hands me back $40 and some change. Don't count it back to me either. I look at it and before I even say anything she says "oh I forgot a $10". Yeah no shit you did nice try though. Bottom line like the pizza but not enough where I will come back and see assclowns like this. Mod management. Do something or continue to lose customers read more
