I settled on ordering the "take on me" which was black forest ham, roasted turkey, hickory smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce, and mayo on a Hawaiian style roll. I also ordered a sprite and a chocolate chip cookie as a side. The chocolate chip cookie was okay, pretty standard cookie though definitely not worth $3.75. The sprite was $2.99, and the sandwich came to $15.58. I was also charged $0.96 for something called the advantage program which I have no idea what that is. I gotta say, spending over $25 on a sandwich, a small cookie, and a drink is not something I would care to do at a place like this. The sandwich itself was very good, I won't deny that. The meat tasted fresh, and when it was all together it was definitely a good sandwich, but when there's not combo option and a basic sandwich, cookie, and drink ends up being $25 it's gonna be a no from me on returning in the future. There is one guy who's been our server the last few times we've gone, he just takes top place for bad service. He's always angry, shows up to greet the table late, then rushes you to take the order and when we've asked for more coffee, he's disappeared. I understand that he might be having a bad day or going through something but when it becomes a pattern and it's the same every single time then it becomes a problem. And I have to say the place has not been the cleanest, it's like you get the ick being there and the last time my family and I were there, sure enough, we saw a roach crawling right next to us on the table. It is disgusting! Needless to say we barely touched our food and left. To the managers and owners of this place, please take the time to really clean and maybe call pest control. This is not ok! We will not be returning which is a shame because we truly loved Chompies.

The club royal had paper on the cheese. I mean really paper in the sandwich see pic. This is more than careless preparation. The NY Yankee is a 20.00 Sandwich and they made it on marble rye that was stale and hard. It was impossible for them to not know that the bread was stale and hard. The order was at 10:15 AM so it was not a situation where it sat out long enough in the day to get hard. This had to be yesterdays stale bread. I have to ask who does this? Do they think the customer is going to find this acceptable? Paper on the cheese and stale bread on a 20.00 sandwich. There is genuinely no excuse for this and who ever prepared this food needs to be either reprimanded or terminated. You have one job and that is to make a quality product.
