    Enjoy that sub and pickle.

Firehouse Subs Fact: The founders behind Firehouse Subs -- two brothers who come from a family of firefighters  -- built their business from humble means. According to CNBC, Chris and Robin Sorensen only had $100 to their names when they first opened Firehouse Subs in Jacksonville, Florida in 1994. But the brothers believe that being broke led to the eventual success of their national sandwich chain. ― mashed.com How can you not love Firehouse Subs? I'm a fan of their Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket™ (USDA Choice beef brisket smoked for 16+ hours, cheddar, mayo, Sweet Baby Ray's® BBQ Sauce) and mac & cheese. The mac & cheese is always worth the couple extra bucks for the combination upgrade. Because you know what helps wash down a sandwich? More carbs! Yum! Great sub place. Come here, get a good meal, and enjoy life.

    Moldy Bread

I was incredibly disappointed to find MOLDon my sandwich bread. I am shocked at the oversight, especially since this is VERY OBVIOUS mold. I normally love firehouse subs and I usually find the quality to be pretty standard across all locations, so I didn't think anything about trying a new location. I should have!!

Firehouse has always been one of my go to sandwich chains, but this time left me wanting a little more. The service was poor and the food came out after about a 20 min wait with no other customers in the store. The food tasted average which is expected but was more upset about the overall experience.

I just found out that they are running a program called name of the day. Name of the Day for 12/10: If your first name starts with Sh or Si, show your photo ID at any participating U.S. Firehouse Subs and get a free medium sub with any purchase. New name tomorrow. Due to nationwide product shortages, some locations may be unable to offer shredded lettuce as a topping. I will have to start keeping an eye out for that. I got their new Prime Rib Steak Sub that is being offered for a limited time only. It is a seated, slow-cooked prime rib, melted provolone, and caramelized onions with garlic mayo, deli mustard, lettuce, and tomato, all on a toasted sub roll. I had the garlic Mayo and the deli mustard on the side. What I now realize is that without those items the sandwich is quite plain. I thought I wouldn't like those spreads but they are actually really good. I guess next time I will just keep it on the sandwich.

This is a 9.00 brisket sub

Always loved firehouse. Good food good service. Tough to say I'm probably moving on to a different sandwich shop. Slow service, and the value is awful now. The medium sub is now about 3 inches wide and has about half as much meat. This location has always been solid but this trip was anything but. Manager was rudi ding a client and I was waiting to order, there were like 5 other people behind me. They had 4 employees cleaning and 1 making sandwiches. Needless to say food was not coming out like normal. I'm probably going to switch to Ike's or knuckles or even subway at this point. Sad

I've only had the meatball sub and the italian sub, but both of them knock the socks off the competition.

Great lunch spot in Chandler! I have received a lot of recommendations to check out Sourdough & Co…read more I wish I would have gone sooner! Walking into the store, the first 2 things you notice is that it is busy!, and the heavenly smell of fresh baked sourdough. The staff is extremely nice and patient, willing to answer questions if you have any. There is indoor seating and outdoor seating, even though there is a lot of tables it is definitely not enough during lunch time. I ordered a 6 inch frensh dip and their bowl of clam chowder, all to go. Driving home with my to go order was torture! My entire car smelled like bread that just came out of the oven!!! The French dip was delicious! The shop provides a giant cup of Au Jus with the sandwhich, there is no way you are going to use it all! The sandwhich was well belanced with the meat and cheese, and the flavors were a great combination. The sourdough bread was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Definitely recommend checking out this sandwhich. The bowl of clam chowder is the reason I know I will be consistently coming back to this shop. As a clam chowder snob, I am obsessed! The portions of ingredients were great, not too many of one ingredient. The soup was creamy but not thick like glue, great consistency! The cut sizes for the potato and clams were great and you could easily see the clams in the soup. It was phenomenal!!! I beyond recommend checking out Sourdough & Co.

Price and quality did not match…read more I ordered the pastrami sandwich and immediately noticed some cost cutting choices, like butter flavored spray (can we use real butter) US Foods/Chef's Store sourdough bread, (can we use real sourdough bread) and a microwave sitting next to the griddle (which the griddle looks like it has not been cleaned very often). I didn't think much of it at first, but then I watched the owner heat the pastrami in the microwave before assembling the sandwich. I've never had a deli sandwich prepared that way right in front of me, and it was disappointing. She also pulled out a large bag of Taylor Farms shredded lettuce. I asked for no lettuce, and she joked that "people don't want lettuce anymore." Given the recent news surrounding Taylor Farms, that comment didn't exactly inspire confidence. What really surprised me was that the pastrami was placed in a plastic basket and microwaved. Whether or not it's considered safe, seeing food heated that way wasn't very appetizing. Looking around, there also didn't appear to be any real kitchen equipment for preparing hot sandwiches beyond a microwave. A Blackstone griddle or even a quality countertop oven would have inspired much more confidence in the food, especially considering the owner's Yelp responses emphasizing the quality of their sandwiches. From what I experienced, the preparation didn't match those claims. In the end, we ordered just one pastrami sandwich and one beer, and the total came to about $25, with the sandwich alone costing over $17. For that price, I expected much better ingredients and preparation. Unfortunately, the quality didn't match the cost. We tried to be as nice as possible but we left feeling pretty disappointed and couldn't wait to get out of there.

We've been to The Sicilian Butcher in Chandler many times, so when my husband and I decided to go…read moreout for a nice Italian dinner, we figured it was a safe bet. Well...apparently, someone decided to fix what wasn't broken. As soon as we sat down, we noticed the menu looked different. Our waitress explained that it's a "test menu" that's been around for a couple of weeks. Uh-oh. We ordered our usual: bruschetta, Margherita pizza, and Bolognese pappardelle. The bruschetta was good, but now you get 3 instead of 4--and somehow pay more. Math was not on our side tonight. Then came the "Margherita pizza." I'm sorry, but this is where things went sideways. It's now basically a thick piece of flatbread with pizza toppings on it. That is not pizza. I wanted pizza, not a piece of bread going through an identity crisis. Thankfully, the Bolognese pappardelle was still really good. Thank goodness they left the pasta alone! Overall, we were pretty disappointed. With so many great Italian restaurants to choose from, I'm not sure why the menu needed such a drastic makeover. Sometimes, when something is already good, you just...leave it alone. We've always enjoyed The Sicilian Butcher, but if this new menu becomes permanent, we may have to find a new Italian dinner spot. Hopefully, this really is just a "test" and the old favorites make a comeback!
