Thank you Ashley and Christina great food and service

Everything is always hot and fresh thank you Ashley and Christina! Great service! Keep up the good work...

Been awhile since I visited this place and now this visit reminded me. A bit pricey for the food. Especially the chili dogs were very salty and then squished when they wrapped them having the chili stick to the paper. The corn dogs were eehhhh. Not up to par for what their famous for. The soda had a good taste. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. Didn't really take any pictures of the food since they looked thrashed.

Tube Steaks, are tube steaks, right? And like the Kaiser supposedly said, I don't necessarily want to see how they make 'em, I just want to enjoy them. I was driving along McQueen today, near the Chandler/Gilbert border and noticed this Wienerschnitzel. Seems CVS Pharmacy has trimmed back their trees and like many, I didn't realize Wienerschnitzel was there. I ordered a cup of Chili ($3.49), which was good; a Pastrami Sandwich ($4.99) for later and a Polish Chicago ($3.09). I was less than impressed with the dog, or Polish if you will. Like most of their Hot Dogs at Wienerschnitzel, it seems puffed-up with air and less than solid in chewing or taste. Certainly not the solid 100% Beef ones they serve at Costco. What was different though, was their introduction of Pastrami as a menu item. Besides offering a sandwich, they put it on everything, including their frankfurters. Go figure. I was however not brave enough to try it on my Polish. Maybe next time. Hmmmm Der Fun since '61? Three Stars, "A-Okay".

I know it's fast food. I know! But when you've got to have a dog, you've got to have a dog. The deluxe dog or the Kraut dog are my faves. They at least have veggies on them. Everyone else got chili dogs and chili cheese fries. Lots of decadence here!

I also bought 5 chili dogs.

Terrible hot dogs. They tasted just like Oscar Meyer hot dogs. Portillos dogs are 100 times better.

I was super stoked to check a place with "retro" in the name out, and I gotta be honest here, I left with pretty mixed emotions about a lot of things. The restaurant itself is pretty boring inside, mostly just being black with a few small pictures hanging up. I was kind of expecting big retro movie posters or something hanging around, but I definitely didn't get much of a retro vibe from this place minus a small neon "bar" sign and a claw machine in the corner. The menus were very cool, right by the front door its a record shelf and the records were the menus, so thumbs up for that idea. I thought i was mistaken, but I don't remember seeing sandwich prices on the actual menu, but as I look at other photos on yelp it does appear that the sandwiches don't have prices attached to them, which explains why I was thrown off by the end price. I settled on ordering the "take on me" which was black forest ham, roasted turkey, hickory smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce, and mayo on a Hawaiian style roll. I also ordered a sprite and a chocolate chip cookie as a side. The chocolate chip cookie was okay, pretty standard cookie though definitely not worth $3.75. The sprite was $2.99, and the sandwich came to $15.58. I was also charged $0.96 for something called the advantage program which I have no idea what that is. I gotta say, spending over $25 on a sandwich, a small cookie, and a drink is not something I would care to do at a place like this. The sandwich itself was very good, I won't deny that. The meat tasted fresh, and when it was all together it was definitely a good sandwich, but when there's not combo option and a basic sandwich, cookie, and drink ends up being $25 it's gonna be a no from me on returning in the future. Overall, I really wanted to love this place for the name, but the lack of much decorations and prices left something to be desired. The food itself was good, but not worth what was spent.

I love that they change their menu daily, it's handwritten and the details are posted on their Instagram page if you want to take a look before you arrive. Everything is made fresh to order! The day we had gone in, they had a few sandwich and pasta options available to choose from. My husband got the spicy Italian sausage ziti pasta dish and I ordered the chicken parm sandwich. The sandwich came out first; I really liked the marinara sauce on it. It was a bit difficult to eat but exactly what I was expecting and wanting. The pasta took some time to come out, but that was fine. The sauce was like a pesto vodka sauce, very rich & filling, and also tasty. We were both only able to eat half of each dish since they were both large dishes. I believe they only serve pasta dishes on certain days, so if they have them on the menu, definitely consider ordering one of those. They seem to have sandwiches everyday. It's a pretty small place with a few tables & some bar type seating. It gets pretty busy around lunch time, so plan accordingly. We'll be back again to try other items!

I placed a mobile order scheduled for 7:34 PM and arrived around 7:40-7:45. When I walked in, there was one employee working the register. I waited patiently while he helped another customer, but when I tried to get his attention afterward, he raised his finger at me in a dismissive way and told me to wait. Instead of helping me with what should have been a quick mobile pickup, he proceeded to take multiple new walk-in orders from a group that had just come up to the counter, without acknowledging me at all. After waiting even longer, I finally asked if I could just be helped. I was told "they were here first," even after I explained I had a mobile order that should have already been ready. At that point, the interaction escalated out of frustration. Once I gave my name, my order was handed to me quickly, which only reinforced that this could have been resolved in seconds with basic awareness and customer service. To make matters worse, when we got home, the sandwiches were made with barely any sauce--even though we paid extra for it. The lack of sauce made the meal dry and disappointing, to the point where we didn't really enjoy dinner. To be fair, the ingredients themselves did seem fresh, and there is potential here from a food quality standpoint. However, that doesn't outweigh the overall experience. Between the poor handling of a simple mobile pickup and the failure to execute the order correctly, this visit fell well below expectations. This felt less like a one-off mistake and more like a breakdown in both service and attention to detail. I would strongly recommend improvements in how mobile orders are prioritized and how customers are acknowledged when they walk in.
