Nothing bad about Papa Murphy's food but, Doordash they use to deliver. We tried ordering through Doordash and twice it said error try again so we ordered through grubhub instead. $42 later for a large pizza and cookie dough we sat down for pizza and a movie. This morning I see 2 charges (1 from Doordash and 1 from Grubhub) I go outside and find pizza and cookie dough out all night. I called Doordash and they refused a refund since it was delivered successfully. Didn't ring my bell. Very disappointing! Beware of error messages through Doordash and I would have left a review for them but, yelp doesn't have them as an option. read more

Came specifically for the heart-shaped pizzas for a Valentines lunch as a gift to some friends. Ordered on-line, which was an easy and smooth process. Entered the pick up day and time and upon arrival, the pizzas were ready to go. It was a bit surprising when we picked them up because neither really had that heart-shape that was advertised. You can see from the pictures that they are more of a Picasso-shaped heart, LOL! Due to timing, just left with the product delivered. Can't add much about the outcome of the baking and/or taste because it was a gift, but we've had Papa Murphy's previously and they do offer a good pizza with fresh product. read more

I have been a fan of Papa Murphy's for years. Their fresh ingredients, easy online ordering, coupon codes, and bake it when you're ready on your schedule are all home runs for me. Not to mention it's not a greasy pie. The cookie dough is guilty good, too. I wish their salad selections were better. Yet, I remember when greens were not even in the menu. That said, I will acknowledge that but challenge the chain to do better for those that don't want pizza but others in the family do. My go-to is usually a chicken garlic with red sauce as a substitute topped with shrooms and black olives. Bake the stuffed at 350 and regular crusts at a nice 425 degrees. And, take advantage of their $10 Tuesdays. You can't go wrong with having a few ready-to-bake pizzas in the fridge during the holidays. No prep. Easy bake. And... good Update- 4/16/20 - For the SECOND TIME my Grubhub order has been delivered wrong. Tonight I even called AFTER placing my order to ensure my pizza was made correctly. I talked to the owner and she confirmed my order. Yet, still delivered for the SECOND TIME incorrectly. I would think any business owner, who I personally talked to, would make it right. I'm done. Love the pizza here. So this review isn't for the taste it's for the customer service. We chose Curbside pickup and it was supposed to be ready at 4:24pm (according to email). We arrived around 4:32. I called, dialed for forever and the guy answering sounded like he hated life. Honestly, I'm sure working these type of low wage jobs isn't fun or amazing but they need to be taught by management to be nice or at least fake being happy. Or perhaps management need to not treat their workers like s***. This is closest location to where we live in Tempe but I'd drive to another location for better service. At this point, we're still waiting to receive our pizza and it's now 4:49pm on Tuesday. I don't care if there are a bunch of people in store, curbside pickup is made for a reason! The workers here are incredibly friendly. They were pretty quick getting our orders together. The shop appeared very clean and spacious. They do not have small packets of pepper flakes that you would get at other pizza places, but the woman who was helping us packed a small amount in plastic wrap since she knew we were headed to an airbnb and did not want to stop by a grocery store. I appreciated the extra step she took so that I didn't have to make an extra stop. I'm the type that needs the extra bit of pepper flakes on my pizza (no matter what type of pizza). Lately our favorite pizza obsession has been with their cowboy pizza! They put a healthy generous portion of toppings on the pizza!! The normal crust is delicious and directions for baking is very very easy and clear!! Price wise this pizza is a bang for its buck!! Freshly made daily and you take it home and bake it when you're ready for fresh pizza!!! WELL....my phone app isn't working and I have been working with PM to see why and they can't figure it out so I went to this store. Explained and asked what specials were in store...."Sorry we only sale Full Price in stores, you need to order online for any deals". She did not care. She did not want my business. Beware! Went in there tonight for their Tuesday $10 pizza special. Had just stopped by navy federal credit union and withdrew $50 so I could pay them in cash instead of using a credit card. Placed my order and then was informed they take nothing bigger than a $20 bill! The owner was working with the employees and she reaffirmed what the employee told me. So, had to use my credit card and they can pay the fee to the bank for my using their card. Bottom line, don't try to pay with anything bigger than a $20 bill. Pizza is always good, but I don't need a hassle! Next time I go there I'm going to go with 10 one dollar bills to slow down the process. The customer service at this location, by the supposed supervisor, Lamya Begay Roundtree (as she informed me) is beyond reprehensible. I ordered two pizzas for delivery, in which one order was incorrect when I received it. I called to request a new pizza, but she was beyond condescending from the beginning of our conversation and never offered an apology. She made no initiative to correct the issue and never offered service recovery. I'm not sure how long she has worked at this location, but my husband and I have ordered from here fairly frequently for about 4 years and never had an issue until now. read more

And then to complete the trifecta one of them went and got the manager who also had no clue what I was talking about and was trying to offer me some huge supreme sized pizza for $3 or $4 more dollars. At this point I've never tried the pizza yet. First time customer. I was told I needed to come back when a mgr is there had to go 2 times to finally get a whole 6.07refund. It is also worth noting the excellent customer service and attitude in particular on April 4th 2022. We come here in spurts. Lately a little more often as it's easy dinner and I love getting their texts and emails of their current specials. Sometimes it's a little different in text than in email than in the store than online. Half the time I call in, other times I order. Usually they get it right. Today I went in and got 3 Large Pizzas for $7.99 each and the girl rang it up as $12 each pizza. She was apologetic as she forgot I told her I had the text, which I showed her. So she immediately voided the transaction and rang it up correctly. I give 5 stars even if things are perfect. Their pizzas are consistently good. Sometimes I can get sick of eating them, but they are consistent. And there's never a really long wait. If they do something incorrect, they have always been willing to compensate or make it right. This is our main go-to location, because it's enroute to things I frequent. And, I love the Drive-Through (Pick-Up) window option as I am sometimes just too lazy to get out of my car. I didn't discover this until this year. Every company can make a mistake on things, but give people a chance to make it right. Of course, if there are a ton of repeated and continual mistakes, that's different. Maybe it's better training needed. However, every person we've ever dealt with here over the past 2-3 years, they've all been very customer-service oriented, friendly. read more

Be AWARE! CHECK YOUR PIZZA ORDER BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE STORE! Poor Customer Service!!! Don't waste your time going to this Papa Murphy's Take n' Bake Pizza at West Ray Rd location. My family and I have been PPM's Pizza customers for many years (10 years +) since the other PPM's Pizza closed by our neighborhood. They make them just the way we like, we have never had a problem before, until the last time we ordered. We found out that two pizzas didn't have cheese. Bummer! It was very disappointing to hear from the staff that they wouldn't honor any order problems "after 24hrs" of order pick-up. We have ordered pizzas for a party and some for freezing (that were consumed before the COVID-19 pandemic). Unfortunately, two of them came without cheese (picture of one below) that we paid for but didn't get it. Went back to discuss the problem we had, and to our disappointment they didn't care. We just wanted a cup of cheese that we paid for, just that! They simply said, no. The staff called the manager and she said: "we can't do anything about it!" They needed to have received the notification (that our pizzas didn't get any cheese) within "24 hrs" of order so that they could honor our request. I have two issues with this store. Number one is how the two adults treat the kids that work there. They are aholes to the kids. Both of the adults are out of their element in a restaurant setting. Only giving 2 stars and here is why. 1 star because the price was right. They have a Wednesday special for 50% off your order when you order online using coupon code Wed50 and the other star because of all the fresh ingredients. I have been longing to try this place. I constantly see the commercials and love pizza but was not at all impressed with the quality and taste. I drive by this place everyday and there are multiple locations across the valley but I was really expecting more from my local take and bake pizza shop. The instructions say to bake at 425 for 12-18 minutes. I baked for 12 and continued to baked until my desired crispness. The pizza comes on a thin white paper plate/cardboard box to cook on but when I checked my pizza after 15 minutes the pizza was still doughy on the bottom. The cheese was melting and turning brown on top but when I cut a slice to make sure it was done the pizza went limp and the cheese almost fell to the floor. I tried to continue cooking to see if the bottom would cook more but the cheese from the rest of the pizza kept bubbling over the sides. My perfectly prepared pizza now looking like melted cheese stuck to a cardboard box. I'll stick to my grocery store pizza or have it made and delivered to my door. This was a disaster. read more

This was my first experience with Papa Murphy's and it was a little weird. First, the experience. This was the weird part and the reason why I'm only giving it 3 stars (otherwise it would have likely been 4). I walked into the store about noon on a Sunday. There was no one else in there. And by no one else, I mean no other customers - AND, no employees. I stood there in the lobby for about 3 minutes. You can't really see into the kitchen area, but there was no noise coming from there and I didn't see any activity. I jingled my keys a couple of times to see if anyone would hear me. Nothing. In the meantime, the cash registers are sitting right there, the tip jar with several $1 bills in it is sitting right there - totally unattended. Finally after about 3 minutes I yelled "hello! Is anyone here?!" A couple of seconds after that, out come this young guy and young girl (they looked like maybe high school age). Neither of them greeted me. Neither of them apologized. The guy simply took his position at the register and asked if I knew what I wanted. I felt like I was on Candid Camera or something. I placed my order, the guy took my money and immediately disappeared back into the kitchen without even a "thank you". And the girl started making my pizza. She didn't speak to me even once - even though I was standing right in front of her watching her - and the only other person in the place. She finishes, wraps up my pizza, hands it to me and says "here you go. Have a nice weekend". Sooooo bizarre. Anyway, my expectations for the pizza were not high. However, after getting it home and baking it, it turned out quite good. I got the Cowboy which is pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms and black olives. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste, texture and freshness of the ingredients. And the price is right - $10 (with the coupon) for a large - and they do not skimp on the toppings at all. Very full, dense, pizza. I will definitely get another one - just not at that particular store. There is another one about the same distance away from me and I'll just try that place next time. read more

Until recently, I've never had a Papa Murphy's pizza. When my daughter was born, a church member dropped off a pizza for my family to enjoy. We cooked the pizza and enjoyed the pizza very much. I wanted more, but the pizza was all gone. Since the pizza was dropped off, I've gone back twice to indulge in the pizza.. The last two times I've made the short trek to the store to order and pick up the pizza myself. The ingredients are fresh, made to order and is done quickly. You're in and out within just a few minutes. There are many ingredients to choose from, all the standard dare-meats, cheese and toppings. The staff is very friendly and courteous. Papa Murphy's is my absolute favorite pizza place! Not only is the pizza super delicious at a great price, but the crew at this store is just phenomenal. Every time I stop by (which is frequently!), I have had a great customer service experience. All the staff are young, but very professional and courteous. They are super friendly and always make an effort to have an actual conversation with me, which I really appreciate. As other reviewers have mentioned, the crew is extremely helpful and always takes the time to walk me through the menu and suggest great new items to try! I highly recommend this store and will continue to be a regular, VERY satisfied customer! Ordered a pizza the other day and they said they will not honor the coupon as stated as it was printed last year. Again - no expiration date. No date showing when it was printed. When I challenged this, the person was quite rude. I guess their practice is to get you in the door with the coupon - just to tell you the price really is higher. Bait & switch.
