We like mod and hate to leave a 1 star but absolutely sick of the staff. Went in tonight and there are 3 employees. First one takes order since it's 4 pizzas and is writing them on the brown paper. 2 pizzas have only 3 toppings but extra on those 3. She gets an attitude and says "that's a lot of toppings". Bitch really? So it would have been better to say we want all 80 toppings you offer?? Second guy is making the pizzas and whatever was extra he's counting out 8 items like he's paying for the toppings out of his own pocket but my lite pepperoni turned into extra. Go figure. My salad I tell him what I want and croutons was one thing and he didn't even add. 3rd chick rings me up. She is also the one taking the pizzas in and out of oven. Total came up to $45 and some change. Give her a $100 bill. She hands me back $40 and some change. Don't count it back to me either. I look at it and before I even say anything she says "oh I forgot a $10". Yeah no shit you did nice try though. Bottom line like the pizza but not enough where I will come back and see assclowns like this. Mod management. Do something or continue to lose customers read more

Not sure I will ever go back after my experience on Monday. She called me up to get my pizza and said that the bottom cooked quicker so if it was too over done she would remake it. Holy cow! It was black all over the bottom. I could even smell it. It made me sick to my stomach. She was nice and I appreciate that she told me instead of saying nothing. So the next one comes out and the guy asks me if it looks ok. I said, "as long as it isn't burnt on the bottom." He lifts it up and it's black all over. Not as bad as the last one which had no areas of dough uncharred but still burnt. I said, "never mind, just give me a refund." I was so hungry, waited through two pizzas being cooked and left with nothing. read more

Ultimately, the pizza was..ok. Nothing special, and nothing that I'd return for. For almost $40 for 2 small pizzas ($9.73 each) and 2 mini salads ($7.73 each), it's ridiculously overpriced. Sadly, it was mainly the customer service that results in the 1 star review. Zero niceties when we arrived. The second employee just stared at us until we voiced our order. My first time here--I don't know what I'm doing. Don't expect any guidance. Luckily, the person I was with had been to Mod Pizza before. She was blown away by how terrible this experience was. So, they make my pizza, which would have been some sauce and 4 pieces of sausage, had I not jumped in before he put it in the oven to request more toppings. Boxed up and ready to go--still no employee interaction. He made it very obvious that it was a HUGE inconvenience to open the box again to add the sauce on top, which I only knew about thanks to the sign at the end of the counter. Usually great service here - except tonight. The guy building my pizza seemed to be irritated and rude. I asked for extra mozzarella cheese and he tells me he will add it at the end of the line. He said they add it after all the toppings so it cooks evenly. Fair enough. I asked for onions on the pizza - so he puts 5 slices. I asked if he can add some more - he did but not without the bad attitude ( like adding a few more slices was too much damn work). 5 more slices. Wow. It wasn't like I was asking him to build a tower. We get to the end of the line and I ask if one tub was the mozzarella and he says "The makes of the cheeses are down there". OK. No mozzarella. So I pick the Asiago and with the same attitude and irritated look, puts the cheese on. This place is suppose to put whatever you want on your pizza. Not give you some sort of attitude when you want this or that or an extra few slices of something. Again, I usually get great service at this place. Not this time. Night out with my kid was ruined because of this one employee. The others were great as always. Maybe I'll try again. Maybe not. Dining out is suppose to be fun. read more

Their thin crust is not thin or crisy like you would expect, in fact it is very thick and doughy. They also don't have fresh mozzarella. Pizza was decent however service was horrible! The two younger guys taking orders and assembling the pizzas were great. The problem was with the guy wearing a beanie type cap with a brown shirt. He got annoyed with me when their card reader malfunctioned. When our order was ready, the same rude guy called our name and when the boyfriend went to the counter to pick up the order, he looked the guy in the eyes and said thank you. He received no response. We then saw this happen with other clients receiving the lack of response after us. Seriously, if you hate your job that much move on! We won't be back to this location due to this person. My husband likes this pizza place and it's been okay. But about every other time I order the Phoenix pizza, they totally botch it up. The last time, which was earlier this week, I'm not even sure what pizza I got, but it wasn't what I ordered. They did offer to make me another pizza, any pizza, but the point of takeout is you're trying to save time. I had my son go in and pickup our order and he didn't know what my pizza looked like, though I should have given him a picture. I had ordered this pizza with bacon, too. No bacon. The manager seemed indifferent, oh, I guess the pizza person forgot the bacon. No real apology there. Customizing an order means you want it different. I didn't want to drive back there as I was already home and we were about to have dinner, except me. The pizza didn't look like the other Phoenix pizzas I ordered and I think they forgot more than just the custom bacon, rather other things, too. They keep messing this order up and about every other time, they do mess up our pizza orders. I may give this place one more chance as we've already given quite a few chances. But they aren't really getting better and staying the same. I'm sure there are probably other pizza places nearby that have good pizza that can get the orders right. For me, I would give this place 2 stars, but my husband likes this place and thus I bumped it up a star for him. read more

My family has been ordering the same thing for years. Tonight we went in and the employees told us that they weren't able to make what we wanted. Not only that but they were incredibly rude while doing so. We asked for a salad pizza with pesto on the dough and then the salad on top. They would not put pesto on because a salad pizza does not come with that. They wanted to charge us 20$ instead of 12$. Absolutely ridiculous. After waiting in line for 20 minutes we turned around and left. We used to love coming here but after our experience tonight I can definitively say that we will not be coming back. read more

My first time trying this place and it was delicious! Wish I had tried it sooner! My son and I had a boys dinner night and we both enjoyed the food quite a bit. Glad we finally decided to give MOD Pizza a try! I had the Mad Dog Mod and my son got a mini cheese. We also had the Strip 'n Dip with red sauce (breadsticks) and they were all bomb! Great flavor on the pizza, perfectly cooked imo, and I really liked the bread sticks with the rosemary flavor coming through! Bonus: The Lemonade was really good, too! I quit drinking soda about a year ago and really appreciate a nice lemonade. Great food that was freshly prepared, quickly served, and really well priced! Great value for what you get. This location puts out great pizza. This pizza place is similar to all the other chains that offer build your own brick oven cooked pizza. I think that the price is better at MOD Pizza than other comparable places, though. As with all of the places, because the crust is so thin it is better not to pile on as many toppings as you can just BECAUSE you can because you will end up with a floppy, impossible to eat pizza. With pizza taste and the ridiculous extra charge per ingredient..and when I would rarely find a good pizza place it be about $17 per pizza. So, brings me to mod pizza. I thought I'd grab a pizza tonight from the Mod down the street since it had been good in the past. Tonight I had two issues, and now I won't be back. The first problem was that if you're in person, I was told I'd have to wait until they finished the online orders. There were a lot of online orders ahead of me, so it looked to be a bit of a wait. I was the only customer in the store. Not working my order in seemed ridiculous, but the lady said they had to prioritize online orders since they have promised by times. I wasn't expecting them to stop what they were doing for me, but maybe finish the pizzas they were working on and then get my one order in. One of the guys asked me what he could get started for me, and he was promptly corrected that I had to wait. I promised her they were going to lose a real customer. Second problem was the amount of little flys on the produce. I counted about five on the red onions. Kind of gross. It's too bad, because I really used to enjoy the place. read more

I've tried different locations, one on Warner and cooper and the other on Elliot and 101. Both were disappointing. I see no value to these pizzas. The one I received at the Elliot location the crust was burned. Which made the toppings leave a bad taste in my mouth. When i brought itup to the server she stated ots because its gluten free and walked away. I call BS. The Warner location had such a long wait time it was ridiculous. I can appreciate longer wait times if it's a busy Friday night, but it was not busy, may six people in there. Very disappointing. So I WONT go back a third time. read more

It's disappointing that my last three visits here have come with long wait times and slow service. I ordered pizza online this time, which allows you to set a pick up time. When I showed up 25 minutes later, they hadn't even started making the pizzas. Update: One of our pizza was missing some toppings...fortunately it still tasted really good. How I really feel... I imagine this place like it's a family member who is really good at making delicious pizza. But this family member is late to ev-er-y-thing, and they know better. This pizza is delicious!!! Love the make it yourself style pizza places. Tried the gluten free crust with white sauce, chicken, mushrooms, and a variety of other toppings. The MOD size was enough to provide leftovers for the next day! The only negative thing was that the pizza didn't feel completely hot in the center...like it should have been baked a little longer. I had sworn off going to MOD because of the quality of the food had significantly diminished and and the prices increased. Made an exception, to bring the kids and totally regretted it. Young girl who took name and got pizza started was kinda bitchy ( tall, skinny, and brunette with two knot buns on head). Typical average young teenage girl attitude lol.
