I stopped by for an event since I've always wanted to try this store. The place is clean, organized and cute. I just don't like the fact that the drinks cannot be modified for the sugar level "because they are pre-made" as per the staff, so that for me makes it hard to want to come back. Donuts are delicious and the decoration/glazing, is stunning.

Stopped in for an event at the store and decided to pick up a donut to try. I got the matcha flavor. The donut was soft and bouncy, the perfect texture for a mochi donut. However, I got absolutely zero matcha flavor from the glaze. I would recommend trying a different flavor.

I saw this Mochinut location opened up, so I went to check it out. I thought it was brand new, but I can see reviews going back a few months, so now I am confused why it looked like they had just moved into the shop. There were boxes just sitting out on the floor, and the decorations were incomplete. They had run out of tapioca, but it was 8pm, and they're a new shop (or so I thought at the time), so I get it. The AC was so cold inside that we were too cold to sit down and just paced around. The boba types they had looked really good on their poster. I got the ube boba because I normally love ube boba, and most boba shops around here don't have it. I asked the employee if they make it on site, and she said yes, but then I asked if it was premade, and she also said yes. I was really confused. She gave me a cute plastic can of boba, so I'm pretty sure I just paid $6 for an ube drink without tapioca. It was way too sweet for me, and I normally really like sweet drinks. She said they can't change the sweetness as it is premade. I feel like they could have a less sweet premade drink and subsequently add sweetener to it as needed. I got a massive stomachache. My friend got the half mozzarella half potato Korean corn dog. He said he liked it, but he didn't seem very enthused by it. They also have one of those ripoff cup ramen bars that charge a bunch of money for the ramen cups you can buy for less than $1 at the store.

THE BIG: Located in the Linc in central Austin right off of I35. Big space with a sweet smell of mochi donuts. Plenty of parking in the parking lot, however it does get full fast. THE BLACK AND WHITE: The original one is on Parmer lane inside the Hana grocery store. I typically grab the regular hitters like the Ube, yuzu and yogurt. however they have some really interesting flavors like the pistachio, fruity pebbles, and banana milk. Some other good ones are the mango and black sesame. The donuts are shaped so you know it's a mochidonut. Each donut can be ripped into smaller donut holes and has a beautiful bounce to their chew. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall, for a 3-piece box of donuts the damage was around $9. Each donut is priced differently though, so your mileage may vary. Very good and I'm glad there's a solid mochi donut spot near me.

For those that don't know what Mochinut is it is a cafe that serves desserts in the form of mochi donuts, snacks such as Korean hot dogs and ramen, and boba drinks. We went on a Friday night and had a mochinut! A mochinut is a donut made of mochi (usually combo of rice/water/sugar/cornstarch) - so the donut is crispy on the outside but chewy on the outside. It is not as sweet as a Krispy Kreme donut and not overly yeast/dense like a Round Rock donut. The flavors we tried were the chocolate pistachio, raspberry powdered sugar, and Ube. I enjoyed the donuts as they weren't overly sweet and heavy, but still filling and sweet enough to satisfy sweet tooth. They also had Korean hot dogs, which are basically corn dogs stuffed/filled with different things (hot dogs, potatoes, or mozzarella). They also sell Korean instant ramen where you can add your own toppings. The shop itself is so cute bright purple! And had seating enough for 14 people and couple of tables outside. There was only one person taking orders and making things when we went, but she was fast and efficient. Parking is free and plentiful.

Mochinut is a great addition to The Linc. Korean style donuts, really delicious. I got the mochi donut and a cream donut. Both unique and very tasty. The place inside is clean and welcoming. I enjoyed my experience here!

Nutella, Tiramisu, Strawberry Cheesecake, Coconut Taro, Churro and Funnel Cake. All flavors are delicious!

First time here but definitely not the last. Everything tasted great! The staff was very nice and friendly. Next time I will definitely be trying the teas, which also looked amazing.

Ask the cashier what's hot and fresh, cuz those tend to be the best! We got their simple glaze mochi donut and it was just the right sweetness (not too much) and great texture!

We went here because they were giving away free donuts if you had your 'I voted' sticker. Honestly, I had never heard about this place so I'm glad they were part of the promotion or I would have never known about it. I think it may be new. It was super cute inside. The ambiance was very pink and girly and they have an artsy mural on the wall that you can take a picture next to. I think this is local because I'm pretty sure the person that checked us out was the owner. he was really nice and friendly. The donuts of course were very tasty. They were fluffy and not too sweet which I really liked. Some donut places can be overpowering but this one had it just right. I will definitely come here again. It's a cute little dessert spot!

    Best matcha!!

Lauren is an outstanding employee!! She was all by herself and got through a long line in 3 minutes! I had to go ask for her name because her service was incredible and the matcha she made me was DELICIOUS!!

The opportunity to come to Mochinut finally came in the form of a promotion where you can get a free donut for showing your "I voted" sticker. The donuts were so good! Not too sweet and their respective flavors really shined through. The shape of the donuts make it so easy to break apart if you're not feeling like eating the whole thing. And they keep so well in the fridge. I really want to try some of their filled donuts next time!

First time going to Mochinut and it did not disappoint! We tried the bacon milk tea, churro, and funnel cake mochinuts. All three had really good strong flavors and texture. The milk tea flavor was good, but I personally felt the bacon bits took away from it. We also ordered the ube milk tea and matcha strawberry drink. Both were good, and as a matcha lover I appreciated the strong matcha flavor. Service was good, and the store itself was spacious with ample tables to sit at. My only complaints were that the tables and floor were kind of dirty. We had come in during a rainstorm and there were no rugs to dry our shoes on so the tiles were muddy and slippery.

Super fast and delicious! There was a line but she got through fast and they had plenty of flavors! I will say the floor was wet so it was very slippery but it was raining so it is inevitable.

Tried the Son of a Peach with cream cheese icing, spiced peach filling, cake mix topping, cinnamon and sugar with honey butter. This one was a bit too overindulgent and sweet for my liking but was definitely worth a try. Portions are huge and can be shared as the donut is not as good warmed over. The Glazed Yeast (The Prime Donut)......... if a donut maker can't do glazed, you might as well forget about the rest. Fantastic. Perfect. The glaze that flakes though moist and a donut that slightly squishes, pops slightly back and has that perfect texture....... And yes Flavor! Perfect Glazed. Well done. A good size and not a weak donut. I did a fancy chocolate cake donut of the Butterfinger kind. A fantastic blend of a good chocolate cake and the touch of peanut from the crisp. A good combo of about 50/50 share of flavor. Focusing on the cake donut resulted in a favorable chocolate cake donut. Freshness is key. Lastly was a buttermilk bar. Good, just good. I know where to get great. You'll have to read my other donut posts to find out where. Just good. Glaze could improve and the complete cool through would be helpful. The dough was alright, not bad. I was craving Ube and might have gone a bit overboard on ordering dessert because they had so many Ube options. The building is colorful and decorated in bright pink with fun artwork and decor for an uplifting vibe. The line moved quickly and the service was friendly fast and efficient. I was able to place my order and pay with Apple Pay. I ordered the Taiyaki Sundae with black sesame and ube swirl soft serve served in a fish shaped mochi Belgian style waffle with Oreo dust on top. You can customize your sundae with filling like organic red sweet beans, Nutella or custard and toppings like Oreo dust, fruity pebbles or rainbow sprinkles. I ate this on site and the nutty black sesame balanced the sweet ube perfectly, and the Oreo topping added the best crunch. They had a variety of mochi donut flavors. Lucky for me, nothing was sold out today. I ordered the Oreo ube mochi donut and ube milk tea to-go. I ate the mochi donut later that day and it was probably my least favorite item from my order. It had the chewy mochi texture however I didn't get enough of the rich ube flavor. It had somewhat of a bitter aftertaste and the Oreo overpowered the ube. I drank the ube milk tea the next day and it was creamy, smooth, and not overly sweet. I really enjoyed the flavor profile of the beverage and would order it again. Overall, enjoyed my selections and will be back to try more dessert options and flavors from one of the most unique Asian dessert spots in Austin!

We were on Rainey street for SXSW and I had seen several people with the pink bag with a dog stamped on the front and wanted to see what all the hype was about. Everything was made fresh to order, so there's a bit of a wait, but it's worth it when you get them hot. I tried the Italian cream cake donuts. They have specialty flavors that were $1 more and all of them were appealing to me. Unfortunately, you can not order a sampler pack of different flavors and have to just pick one flavor which is why I am giving 4 stars. My recommendation would be to offer a sampler pack as to not have to commit to one flavor. The pink dog stamped package came with multiple tiny donuts inside. They were freshly made, soft, and served warm. My friend ordered the regular donuts and I have to say that I didn't notice the Italian cream cake flavor as much as I would have liked compared to the original. There was a good balance of sweetness and a creamy, slightly rich profile without feeling overly heavy. The mini size is perfect because you can try a few without feeling like you've gone overboard and it is great for sharing. Overall, Little Lucy's is a solid dessert stop when you want something warm, fresh and satisfying. I would not recommend paying extra for the specialty flavors like Italian cream cake donuts and will just go with the original donuts in the future.
