Cafe con leche, Texas chocolate sheet cake, Brown Butter & Salt, Horchata Donut

Cool name and flavors ! However, overly sweet and dry for us. Even the coffee which we got less sweet. They are brioche donuts so think more bread like. They do have traditional old fashions but also breads and fry's Very filing, I will say the cafe con leche was our fave. Inside super spacious and cool merch.

Hard to find parking on a weekday. But its a cute relaxing coffeeshop. I will say though I was disappointed. For 6 donuts it was almost $35 and the flavours barely came through Service was basic too

Overall: 4.1/5 Came on a Wednesday morning and there was no line so I got my order right away. None of the pastries had any strong or overwhelming flavors which I appreciated. BBQ Pork Rib Kolache ($5.75): Delicious and probably my favorite of the three. Churro and Dulce De Leche Star ($4.50): This was my least favorite. It tasted like a regular sugar donut with just a hint of churro flavor. Horchata Donut ($4.85): Yum. It wasn't sweet and had a beautiful meringue on top. Just know the meringue will melt in the heat. The texture was softer than the churro and dulce de leche star which I preferred. Pistachio Butter Latte ($8.75) + Oat Milk ($1.25): The cashier recommended this one and it was really unique. You need to stir it for a while since the butter on top is pretty thick. It wasn't sweet at first but as you keep sipping and stirring the sweetness from the pistachio starts coming through. I enjoyed it but it is heavier than your usual latte and I couldn't finish it all in one sitting.

Horchata donut (white topping) is so good!

The horchata donut was amazingly delicious. The cream on top is what makes this donut so delicious. They lightly torched the top to create a unique texture. Give it a try. The coffee shop is spacious and the staff were friendly.

I had a wonderful experience this morning at this place and everybody so friendly even the customers and you gotta have a baby photo. They are credit card only no cash The enthusiasm was vibrant and so friendly come have breakfast here.!

Pretty good spot on South Congress. Lots of pastries. $7.5 for a drink is quite steep. But not the worst spot with a fair amount of snacks.

I loved this place...the donut was filled with a coffee crème which was awesome. Amazing donuts...well worth a visit!

It's a very trendy and vibey spot for a coffee/matcha in town. I've seen people talk about it before but didn't go until recently. Our friend really enjoys this place and we tagged along after having a long lunch and catching up. It was good, but wayyyyy too sweet to my linking. But I'm sure there are plenty of people who'd enjoy it

Randomly saw this place on my maps and decided to stop by. I am so glad I stopped here for a quick breakfast. They have a variety of donut options and a couple of kolache options. I tried their glazed donut holes and the brown sugar donut cake. The glazed donut holes were so so good. I usually do not like eating donut cake, but their donut cake here is delicious! Their drink menu also has a variety of options to choose from. I decided to try their iced matcha latte with maple syrup as sweetener. Their matcha is a bit grainy, but it is not too sweet and pairs perfectly with the donuts. Definitely come check it out if you're nearby!

I love The Salty Donuts...full stop! I am especially fund of their donut holes. I vividly remember the first time I had The Salty Donut holes. My taste buds were on high alert and I did not put the bag down until I finished them all...in the parking lot. Today we were served Matcha lemonade with donut holes (glazed, chocolate and old fashion). The Matcha lemonade was refreshing with a little hint of Matcha but more of lemonade. Of course, those donut holes simply melted in your mouth. Service was fast and friendly. We got our lemonade and donut holes (Oreo cake, chocolate cake and traditional glazed) pretty quickly. In addition, with our crew and the folks that were already in the restaurant when we got there, made it a bit crowded. Everyone seemed to manage and not run out of The Salty with their hand up in the air. Overall, a pretty chill vibe...

The churro & dulce de leche brioche donut is both a treat for the eyes (an adorable star shape) and the taste buds. Covered in cinnamon sugar and filled with whipped dulce de leche, the whole combo just works. I find myself marveling at the unexpected sweet and salty combination, then quickly taking a second bite. And another. And yet another. So delicious! It's a good thing Salty Donut is some distance from home as I have no willpower and would otherwise consume this heavenly treat on a much too regular basis.

We had a short weekend trip to Austin and I am glad we made a stop at Salty Donut. We tried a pistachio cannoli donut and loved it. So I bought four more to bring back to Chicago with us. The donut is fluffy with just the right about of filling, chocolate, and crushed pistachio. We had a big breakfast prior to stopping by. If we had the capacity, we would have also liked to try the yuzu and matcha donut. I also wanted get the jalapeno and sausage and Terry Black brisket kolaches to go but neither was available for the day.

First time here and we had the best experience. The brown butter and salt is simple but wow, the combo is addicting. We also got the seasonal donut called pistachios cannoli. It's very delicious too and love the cream inside. I would choose these over a typical donut when I need a treat. Pricing is quite reasonable for the quality and size of the donut.

Nice seating area with a bigger table in the opposite corner

Just to be clear, I AM somewhat of a subject matter expert. I have eaten all manner of fried dough creations from coast to coast, including Hawaii, and I have a lot to say on the topic. My favorite is still Cider Belly in Albany, NY, but I digress. The PB&J donut here is one of the best things I have ever eaten. I dragged it out for 3 days. Even semi-stale, and reheated in the microwave, it was still delicious. I put a scoop of Blue Bell vanilla ice cream on it which definitely helped. I also ordered a Heavenly Hash (one of my favorite ice cream flavors BTW) and a Naughty and Nice because I am all about the classics. They were both outstanding. No leftovers. I bought these donuts in lieu of birthday cake this year which may become my new tradition. Honestly, I think these are my new favorite donuts in Austin now.

When we went our choices were $9-$10 donut base desserts. I say base because the toppings cover up the donut visually. Despite that, there's no covering that scrumptious taste and texture. Wowaweea. Yes, you feel your cells expand and pants tighten and it is for sure run club pre and post, but quite worth it. These divine donuts have that cakey interior I love so much. We had the Puddin': cream cheese icing, vanilla pudding, fresh bananas with nilla wafers. According to the menu. Ours didn't have any nilla wafers and the presentation was uneven, hence the four stars. I didn't miss the wafers. The icing and pudding were one goopy topping and the bananas slices were half scattered slices and half banana chunk that I had to separate. Side notes: Gourdough sits on a corner with parking spots that are not free. There's a pay via QR code so you'll need a phone or something to scan that. Boo for digital shackles. Next note- I feel like this is a low key meet up spot. Like the way they tried to make the first train cars on the MTA the singles car? There was a series of singles getting doughnuts and they were a little done up for the occasion. Who knows. With the little IG ready love seats and doughnuts made for sharing, you could walk away with extra sugar.

The audacity Story time, Today I went to the original Round Rock location, downtown Round Rock, to buy my son's birthday donuts, It's tradition. Every year on his birthday he gets a dozen half glazed and half chocolate frosted donuts. Then I get a kolache and a dozen donut holes for myself. Well when I pulled up today the line was wrapped around all the way to Mays street. So I just followed the line of cars and got in line. You'd think that a line that long would take a long time but.... Round Rock donuts has this process down to a T. It took less than 10 minutes to get through that line and get my order. And those donuts came out hot and fresh. So did my kolache. Anywho, Don't let the lines scare you away, Just jump in and know they're going to move quickly. Also, If you're planning an office event or any type of event and you want donuts and coffee or kolaches donuts and coffee, Round Rock donuts offers a great menu for large orders and also they have a cake menu for custom cake orders. If you don't want to stay in line in your car you can also park wherever you can find a spot and go to the walk-up ordering window, It's shaded and there's plenty of space to hang out while your order is being made and brought out to you. All this to say, It's a Round Rock Donut, Happy Birthday to my Son!

For years, I'd heard so much good about them; it was about time to sample their goods. Since it was a weekday and a bit later in the morning hours, the line wasn't too bad. Watching the vehicles flying through the drive-thru, I could see that these folks have it down to a science. Order after order is being handed to their customers with military precision. We got a cinnamon roll and a fritter for the road, plus 6 donuts to take back home with us. The fritter was OK, I've had better. My wife's cinnamon roll was too huge to manage. It was definitely Texas-sized. The six donuts we took home were two blueberry cake donuts, two regular raised donuts, and two filled. The filled donuts were our favorites, along with the cake and the traditional raised. We can now say we've been to the legendary Round Rock Donuts.

Why am I going to one in Austin? Well, it's because I am a completeist and I try to go to as many Voodoo Doughnut locations as I can. Austin has two locations but Steve was only willing to tolerate going to one location so we went here. The doughnuts are going to be about the same as any other location however I did come across one that I haven't seen before. I am not sure if it was limited edition or what but I liked it. It was kind of take on a Black Forest Cake but it wasn't cherries that were on top of the doughnut and cream. It was more like blueberries. It was good and I am glad I tried it! I was really hoping to see the Ring of Fire Doughnut as it's my favorite but I didn't see it here. I got more of a powdered doughnut too as I do like their more basic doughnuts too. Steve got something that almost was like a Dubai-esque Chocolate Doughnut. It had pistachios on it and was a chocolate cake. That one was good too! Atmosphere is weird and quirky like all of their locations try to be which I can appreciate. So if you are addicted to Voodoo Doughnuts or have been wanting to try them but don't plan any PNW trips then definitely swing by the Texas locations.
