I like the boba here and the prices aren't too bad, but I only come on days where I have nothing to do after. They consistently take a long time, like 15-30 minutes, to make whatever drink I've ordered. One time I'd been waiting for two episodes of a show before I asked and it turns out they'd forgotten to make my order. I think hiring another member would definitely help improve wait times. Overall, a time suck, but good boba. Recently I've been going to milk+tea a minute down the road, or even sharetea which is almost ten minutes further, as I don't have to wait as long. read more

After every dim sum trip at Jin Wah, we make a stop here at Mo Cha tea house to get our sweets in. Before Mo Cha, I have not had any really good bubble tea since moving here (so deprived!!) so when I found Mo Cha, i was thoroughly pleased!! Their boba pearls are just the right amount of chewy ("QQ") and you can adjust the sweetness and ice based on your preference. I am typically an adventurous diner, but when it comes to bubble tea, I like to go back to the basic - I always get jasmine milk tea with half sugar, half ice, and with regular pearls and egg pudding. It's the perfect combo for me! Matt really likes orea milk tea with half sugar, half ice, and with coffee jelly. The coffee jelly is quite sweet, and so is the oreo milk tea, so getting it half sugar would be "normal sugar" to my palate. If you're a fan of sweet drinks, I actually really recommend this flavor mix! I look forward to trying other items here, especially the brick toasts. Went for the first time yesterday after school with the kids. The place was packed with high school students, which is not surprising given the location. We ordered 3 drinks, paid our $15 and then waited for 45 MINUTES!!! 45 minutes...for 3 UNDRINKABLE bubble teas. They were awful. The milk separated, the flavors we chose were sickeningly sweet, even for the kids, and the boba was sticky and over cooked. Hands down the worst bubble tea I've ever had. I would love to give this place 5 stars because I love their milk tea. Actually, I come here pretty regularly with my family to get drinks (about 3x/week). However, I can't say that I'm happy with my experience here. Reasons listed: -They will make you wait 15 minutes if you want boba in your drink. This is probably due to their lack of staff or lack of knowing when to properly prepare their ingredients. This may be a food place but if you come a couple minutes after they open, don't expect their ingredients to be prepped. This problem has also often occurred to me several times during the day. It almost seemed like asking for boba in my drink was an inconvenience for them because they're always out of it. I eventually moved onto lychee because I knew that would always be available. -When the boba is ready, it's not always made right. -The staff are 50/50 when it comes to customer service. I'm not sure if this lady is the owner or manager but I see her very often. Her face is generally pretty sour and she barely makes eye contact or talks to you. I've also witnessed her scolding her staff in front of customers and it makes us very uncomfortable. It's not just her. I get the vibe that the staff just really don't like being there based on their looks behind the counter. I don't expect them to be robots... but at least make us customers feel wanted. Or smile? -I've posted this as a tip but I feel like it's necessary to put it on here too. They do not combine punch cards. I would think with the amount of times that they've seen my face, that they would trust that the stamps and their initials on my cards are legit. I'm not perfect. Sometimes, I'll leave my punch card in my other purse, in another car, or at home. In that case, any normal person would just ask for another punch card thinking that they can combine it later. Nope. You better hold onto that card with your dear life because they will not honor the other cards. You need to fill that single card up in order to get your free "drink up to $4". I guess I've just been too spoiled by Dutch brothers. Like I've said, I'm still a regular here but I'm not sure how much longer that'll be. I can easily spend an extra 50 cents and go down the road to their competitor (whom I will not list) but I still like their food and drinks. I have hope that their way or doing business will change and be a little more customer service oriented. I'm posting this in hopes of later going back and updating it with a better review. read more

The service was really good, but I was disappointed from the start the second I was told I can't substitute or try to alter my request on my honey toast. Preferably I would of had chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla on mine. I get that whoever created these are trying to keep them simple and all the same, but not all customers are the same. We love the OPTIONS to change it up ourselves. Especially if I'm going to be paying $9 for one of these damn things. We live in Cali and was just visiting Portland during a getaway weekend. We happen to drive by this tea house and decides to grab a drink. Let me tell you - out of all the tea houses that I've been to world wide, this one really shines!!! I highly, highly recommend their matcha latte, and brick toast desserts!! The latte is a perfect mixture of matcha flavor and just enough sweetness. The bread was toasted just right, ice creams on top of it melts into the bread and it just can't be better! Love the atmosphere and decoration, and the staff was super friendly too! I truly wish they'd open another store in Cali, but we'll certainly come back to visit again! read more

I love Mo Cha. It will probably always be my favorite boba shop. I have never had any issues with the store, staff, or product. I love to study here, and the hours are late enough that I can finish what I'm working on-- which I'm grateful for! I'm obsessed with the black tea with sea salt cream. Not all boba places offer the selection Mo Cha does. I also like that there is accessible parking and a cozy atmosphere inside. We found this hidden gem on yelp, and decided to give it a try. We ordered a matcha latte, one honey lemon tea, one jasmine milk tea and a matcha fever brick toast. Wow!! Everything was so yum! They are the few places that actually use real tea leaf to make the milk tea. The brick toast came with a huge chuck of matcha ice cream, fresh strawberry, and red beans. A friend wanted to visit this place so I tried again. But I know I'd be there just for hot salted cream green tea and specifically asked for mug... so I got it but the tea was room temperature!!! Ugh!!! Same unfriendly guy at the counter. I didn't know I have to ask for boba so after paid went back to confirm that. He said it's 50 cents and I have to wait. Boba is not ready but he already made the tea implied that I have to let it go. So I did let go since I have zero expectation for this business anyways but seriously 50 cents you can't be a little generous to customer for some miscommunication. So no, the non-hot tea is not longer good on my list. Friend tried coconut pudding the same guy recommended the small one (4.95 in plastic cup) and said it's the same as big (9.95 in coconut shell). No they are not the same. The small one does not have coconut meat. It's made of coconut milk. Tasteless. My friend wanted to complain but thought they wouldn't do anything because they already wanted to get 50 cents from me. So one more customer down and words will be spread. read more
