    Cucumber Salad

Was so excited to see that a Cantonese spot had opened in town! I've been craving wonton soup for the longest time so I was so so happy to finally be able to satisfy this craving. The restaurant was clean, open, and had spacious seating available. While both the staff and the menu was limited (many dishes were covered with a piece of white tape on the menu) as they have just opened, we were still seated fast even though we came in a Sunday morning. Service was friendly and attentive! We got 2 wonton noodle soups (pork & corn and the dried scallop) and the cucumber salad and the wontons were perfectly juicy and plump and the noodles were flavored perfectly. You could tell that the dish had just been made and was very fresh. I personally like my cucumber salads to be more vinergar-y and sour instead of sweet/savory but there are sauces at the table to adjust the taste to your liking. Will definitely come back to try their hong kong milk tea and their congee!

Dropped by again to try different things! We noticed that the menu had fewer things. Maybe they want to make sure they get the hang of the busyness first before offering more. However, they have all the foods that I like and want to try! The owner remembered us and said that they're improving and working on speeding up the process of serving as many customers as possible! I went on a weekday during lunch and it wasn't busy and they had all the foods! 1. Century egg and pork congee. Super smooth. There were good portions of century eggs and pork (since places are stingy). Super tender and delicious. It went well with the Chinese donuts. Crispy but not to the point that it'll poke your gums. I liked the texture of the congee as it wasn't watery nor too thick and gooey. 2. We did an encore of the siu mai and milk tea. They're made to order so please wait for it and they were still yummy! 3. We tried the dumplings 港式水餃 in the soup broth. It was the best I've had in the area! Super fresh and bouncy in a good way! The wrapper is thin and they said they make it first thing in the morning. They also give you a lot in one bowl. I would say this was the winner haha Very satisfied with this meal!

I was craving for some comfort Hong Kong style brunch food. I was told about this new place in Beaverton, so I had to check it out. Upon arrival at opening around 10:30 am, I was quickly seated in a very sterile clean dining area. I ordered a few items to try out. The shui Mai, the won't ton in chili oil, some chinese donuts to go with my congee. Everything was delicious, but the shui mai was a bit bland. I was surprise by some other reviews about the congee being bland. I was actually pleasantly surprised on how much pork and eggs was in it and it was the perfect in taste and texture was silky smooth. The won ton in chili oil was good, but wouldn't travel to eat again. Next time I'm in the area, I would try some of the other options if it becomes available. When I arrived this time a lot of the items on the menu were out.

New spot out by the Aloha Costco. Quaint set up that perfectly embodies that feeling of home that you get when you sit down with a bowl of congee and a plate of dumplings. Excited to come back when it's cold outside for that perfect cozy experience. The roselle drink was also great!

The wonton noodles and the shu mai were so delicious, flavorful and you call it's made fresh! The staff is also so nice.

I was surprised how big their menu is, and that it spans from Cantonese dim sum to Sichuan spicy dishes. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing. The dim sum is your typical standard fare. They make a good pan fried noodle dish and congee. Of the dim sum items, I think I liked the har gow the best. The rest of the items I think they could use some better seasoning. Service wise they do need a few more carts going when it gets busy. The last time we went, my mom just up and walked over to the cart that was on the other side of the room to get some items. Or just switch to the "pencil and order on demand" method. Saves some of the service hassle. There are some nice banquet sized tables towards the back of the dining room, with lazy susans and such. If you're not looking to go east side for dim sum, this is a suitable place.

It felt very traditional, especially with the lazy Susan's and being able to eat family style Chinese dinner. Every dish we ordered was large and perfect for a large family. Very flavourful, too! This Saturday morning, we went for dim sum with a few friends. I loved that they had carts going around. We arrived right at opening with many other guests, but were promptly serviced. We're all from more Asian areas so it's so nostalgic to sit and speak Cantonese. I was impressed with all of the food. They don't have as many options as other restaurants, but they do have all the basics (har gow, siu mai, cheung fun) that you need. And they were incredibly tasty!! The egg tarts especially were so perfect and flaky. I'm excited for them to become more popular.

Make sure that you don't park at Tom's parking spot; they will tow you and put nasty stickers on your car.lol The good thing about Hawker station: What they have not changed is the love that they put into their dishes and you can taste it in every bite. I went over to get their Hamburger Week special from last year that they had on for just three days on their menu again. It is a delicious burger, Angus beef with crispy fried onion rings and a Hong Kong-style pepper sauce. Just every bite so delicious that it doesn't even need any cheese! Go and say hello to your new neighbors and or just drive from the other end of town to show them some love. Moving is always such a headache we all know that but for a food cart it literally about surviving so let's make sure hawkers station does that.

I would say their hainan chicken is probably the best, because you get the simple clean taste of the well cooked chicken that's tender. They even take out most of the bone so makes it easier to eat. The rice is really well seasoned and it's served with broth and two types of dipping sauce (one kind of a soy sauce and another seemed like nuoc nam). The shoyu chicken is also good if you're wanting more savoriness. Because I'm from Hawaii, I was interested in the teriyaki chicken, but I felt the teriyaki sauce was a bit on the wet side, and not as much a glaze like the way I usually find it in Hawaii. It's also the only chicken bowl that has a decent amount of veggies since it comes on a bed of undressed slaw on top of rice. There's also a braised pork belly rice bowl that is tasty and tender, but also very brown (meaning no real veggies on the side). Like I said, I think chicken is the way to go because they really treat the chicken well.

There are booths where you order food to come cooked, and then the hot pot tables where you order the ingredients and cook them yourself. It's very interactive, and they have plenty of meats, vegetables, tofu, dumplings and noodles. You can choose the broth you want at the beginning and they'll bring out the pot. Each pot is split in 2, so you order one regular broth and then a spicy broth. They also have a veggie broth, which I really enjoy. You can grab things from the salad bar, and they have different sauces/oils you can take and add to your soup. You're able to really customize the experience. It's a fun little experiment you get to do with your friends and family. The space itself is busy with customers walking around and staff brining drinks and food, but it's not crazy. We joke that the steam from the soup is a nice facial treatment. Lol. You can end the night with an ice cream cone and lollipop in the waiting room. I've been a few times, and I will say the first time is overwhelming with trying to figure out what to do, but after that you get more confident and interested in curating a soup that's to your taste.

My friend and I came in…read moreexpecting to redeem the voucher we had already purchased online, only to be met with complete incoherence and a bait-and-switch scheme at the front counter. The hostess initially insisted that we still had to pay full price in cash on top of what we had already paid for the Groupon. When we pushed back and asked for the services to be rendered as outlined, she immediately shifted her story, claiming that the Groupon "wasn't theirs" and refused to honor it--despite the listing clearly being for their exact business. To make matters worse, she admitted that "a lot of people come in here with this Groupon and get confused." It makes zero sense: why would anyone purchase a voucher online only to pay full price in cash upon arrival. Where is the actual discount? If this listing was truly posted without their consent, that should have been the first thing out of her mouth--not a demand for additional cash. Demanding full payment upfront before claiming the voucher isn't theirs is a total contradiction. This whole interaction felt incredibly dishonest and predatory. I will not be returning, and I strongly recommend everyone avoid this establishment.
