Luke's is your no frills Chinese cafeteria, fast casual style restaurant with authentic taste. Similar to 99 Ranch's cafe, you select from a variety of premade dishes for combo plates. Food is good and will satisfy cravings, but it's not a place to go to showcase the best Chinese food of Portland. I'll definitely be back as I like these types of places to get a good, quick meal.

This place was an absolute new local gem and I will be recommending it to everyone I know! The price, the food, the service, and the nostalgia of classic and special Chinese food really made Luke's Noodles stand out! The space was bright and clean with a good amount of seating divided by a partition in the middle. They even had benches to sit on if you were waiting for whatever reason. The ladies who served us on a Monday for lunch were incredibly darling and so patient with us during the ordering process. The cafeteria style food display and the compartmentalized food tray really took me back to some great grade school memories. We each got the Combo #2 for $15 - 3 entrees with half fried rice and udon noodles (love this option!) I mean come on, what a deal! (In this economy??!) It was honestly so hard to choose the entrees because everything looked so good. I went with some classics: tomato egg, pineapple/orange chicken, spicy chicken (chongqing chicken style) and my friend got the eggplant, spicy beef mix and the mushroom chicken with zucchini. Everything was super flavorful, not overly sweet or spicy, and the rice and noodles were the perfect accompaniment to the sweet and savory dishes. We were full after eating half of our plates and the kids really enjoyed everything as well. Yay for leftovers. Don't sleep on this restaurant and get your real Chinese food fix for an amazing price! I cannot wait to come back to try more different entrees. (Bonus: TESO Life is right next door so that's fun to go explore to walk off those noodles!) Go check this place out now and thank me later! :)

I saw some reviews saying this was a good spot for Chinese fast food. I was in a hurry and the restaurant was on my way, so I decided to stop and grab something to go... While I was waiting, I saw the attendant was taking something of a microwave oven by the cashier, which made me very concerned - if I wanted microwaved food, I'd get a frozen meal... When I got home and tried them all, not very amused or surprised: the fried noodles were OK. But the proteins were very under my expectations: the beef with potato seemed to be overcooked and had a green-ish color; the chicken stripes tasted like cumin (and I'm not a big fan of cumin); the teriyaki chicken that came from the microwave... well, very unpleasant. The attendant was very nice, but unfortunately I don't recommend and wouldn't come back here. The portions are big, but it's not worth if it's not something that you want to eat the next day.

Last night I was in the mood for Chinese, but i didn't want to drive "all the way" out to Beaverton for my usual, so I thought I would give Luke's a try. I had that 20% Grand Opening coupon on my dining room table for almost a month. I walked in at about 5:00 pm. The place was totally empty. I walked up to the counter. The woman there was really nice. I ordered the fried noodles with pineapple chicken and beef with zucchini and mushrooms. I also got an order of egg rolls. The entrees and the noodles were really good. The oyster sauce on the beef was very creamy and flavorful and the chicken, while i didn't get any pineapple chunks, still had the flavor mixed in. The only downside was the egg rolls. They were crispy and hot because they made them fresh for me, but they had a kind of doughy texture after the crispy start. I was also sad that they didn't give any sweet and sour sauce with them. The whole meal was only $12 so that was an amazing value. I really hope people come and give them lots of business!!

Clean Asian restaurant with friendly service and modern Asian music playing. It is like panda express in style but with some more unique options such as fish balls, pork belly, thin noodles, and udon noodles. Most of what we got was good. I liked the pork belly and noodles, but not so much the fish balls. I appreciate that they offered them though so I could try them for the first time. The coconut shrimp is good but missing the usual walnuts that accompany them at other Chinese restaurants. The teriayki sauce was lacking flavor, but the quality of the chicken was good. Most of the portions were good, but the teriyaki chicken amount was smaller than I would've liked. Overall, still a good restaurant that I would recommend to my family and friends. I would also come here again myself.

Food was cold and your average, I actually like panda alot more flavor wise. The green beans had too much ginger that it tingled my mouth. The beef was too chewy and tough. I witnessed a guy have a problem with his plate they threw it away and gave jim a new one. Beautiful and clean establishment but food is not good at all.

This is a newer place that opened up in town recently. It reminds me of a Panda Express, but more authentic. They have plenty of options to choose from and you can have up to 3 different sides while building your combination meal. We each got a 3 side combo meal so it allowed us to try a decent amount of their offerings. The food is good and portions are generous for what they charge. I enjoyed the spicy chicken, crispy pork belly, mapo tofu, and string beans. I liked that it also have you the option to have a side of cold dish and a soup/drink with your combo meal. The interior is spacious and plenty of room for dining in.

We went to dine in for lunch today and it's quick to get meal ready. We picked our main dishes and got side dish as well for combo meals. We both got extra food for later since we couldn't finish all at the restaurant. The brought us some water after we took our lunch on the table. It has lots parking spot nearby also close by Beaverton transition center.

Finally stopped in with the family to grab some takeout and we were greeted by the friendly staff and patiently waited on as we decided what to try from the wide range of choices (see photos). The fried rice, chicken with pineapple, and beef with zucchini mushroom earned my kids' approval. I really enjoyed the fried homemade noodle, the three cup chicken and crispy pork belly. While there are many clean tables and you can dine in, this is not a fancy place. For the price point, I don't know why anyone would complain or think otherwise. While I can see the concern of food sitting out for too long, they seem to have a steady flow of customers and was able to quickly make more when we ordered more noodles. We will definitely be back to try other dishes.

10/10 experience if you are looking for Chinese plate lunch/dinner. Exactly what it is supposed to be and hits the spot. Def try their coconut shrimp and the pork belly! Also the spicy chicken (not too hot, but still spicy)!

Ma Po tofu, dry fried green beans, salt and pepper pork chop. I/2 fried rice plus 1/2 hand made noodles.

Consistently good food, service, cleanliness and ambiance. What more can we ask for? Noodles are made fresh daily, by hand. Owners are friendly and truly appreciate their customers. 20% discount is offered to all during their first two weeks of operation.

Love their food and great value for what you get. One of the only places with a solid hot and sour soup in the area.

Great Chinese food. Friendly staff and its local. Prices are reasonable and nothing beats fresh homemade taste over a restaurant chain.

We came early on a Wednesday night and were the only ones here. What was good and bad? First let me say, we asked for help with ordering. The server couldn't understand why I was confused. I said I wanted the braised pork wide flat noodle and showed him the photo on Yelp. He told me to select stir-fry, then spicy pork flat noodle. I explained I didn't want spicy, he said it's not spicy then pushed the "less spicy" option. When the dish arrived, you could see the red peppers and it definitely was spicy! It was tasty but very spicy! My husband got the Mongolian beef which he said was good - he selected "no spicy". The only downside was it does not come with rice. Just Mongolian beef and lots of onions. We also ordered the bbq bao - do not order this - the dough was really "off" in both texture and flavor. I literally spit it out as did my husband. We'd come back but we'd be better prepared to order and we'd be way more cautious with what we order.

We went on a Tuesday night and the place was already packed. The server, at least on the day we went, was working OVER TIME. There was only 1 server and she operated as the bar tender, hostess, and server. I understand that its a small location but she was running and was still incredibly friendly despite the fact. The food is amazing. Everything we ordered was absolutely fantastic and we had a lot. We tried the Fire Fish Soozi, the Salmon Poke Bowl, the chicken Karaage, Garlic chicken noodles, and the Fried beef with garlic fried rice. I know a lot of the dishes have garlic in their name, just know that garlic is quite predominant flavor amongst multiple dishes. Definitely on the pricier side for starters, but the portions are decent and the flavors are good.

It also came with 3 smaller food items that we got to try and surprisingly, it's pretty reasonable at $39 per person. The nice thing is, you only get charged for one person while everyone else at your table can also try the tea. Service was good and very friendly. As for the food, it was pretty good, not out of this world but you're going for the tea and not necessarily the food (IMO).

This was definitely a no b***s***, order - eat and enjoy - pay - have a nice day, in the best most no-nonsense way that I would expect from a noodle shop. Great art on the walls, nice bar with plenty of water cups. Noodles were fantastic and the slurp was so slick and fast, the ramen broth and tare have a depth of flavor that makes comfort food feel like an understatement (which is why umami was probably made/said). The shoyu egg was so divine I almost fell backward out of the stool, add that to everything you can. The bamboo shoots/menma had a very distinct and exciting taste, that my wife and I couldn't put our finger on. Chashu pork was incredibly tender and had a sear and char flavor that will make you savor it with each bite. My wife had a chicken ramen, and by far - the best I have tasted and the chicken had so much flavor and was just as tender (which was crazy to experience because it was some white meat chicken). Had also the fried gyoza (fantastic) and potato and corn croquette was really flavorful and had some side cabbage with dressing that was sweet, and had a great seasoning within. Also, they have coke products, just the right touch, but they also have ramune and other specific drinks. Go on your lunch break, go when you can, have it ordered and delivered, whatever you do - don't let it scare you with narrow seating or a direct server/cook asking a question. They love what they do, and they just want your gratitude for their food, thank yous, and money so they can keep doing it. I think there's no more than 10 seats but if the weather's nice they have some outdoor seating, too. The wall had fun drawings and artwork on it which was fun to look at while waiting for the food. Staff: got our orders. Food: I got their Tori Paitan with char siu for $14. The price was reasonable with the portion they give. The char siu was fatty and the egg was runny. It was piping hot and the soup base was not bad. I didn't feel thirsty afterwards. The noodles were cooked nicely. It is a little further away for me just to eat ramen and nothing was outstanding to me. In fact, I felt a little rushed and couldn't catch up with my friends because of the way the store was set up and few spots. We didn't want to keep chatting because that means other customers would have to wait. So, if you want to quickly eat some ramen, come here.
