In my quest for the best spaghetti dish I thought ...what about noodles. For sure they have spaghetti maybe a chianti. Meatballs? I pull into the parking lot. Small but ok... we are not expecting elegance here... we expect neighborhood drop in with good food maybe take out. I come in and greeted a few times. A guest held the door. The menu on the board quite extensive. I see spaghetti and Italian sausage, I also see meatballs. I go for the Italian sausage, take out. I see a merlot and a cab that are open, several other bottles. I also see a table with a few guests with a bottle at their table. Many guests come in to get their take out as well as many deliveries. I get home...the box is still hot. The sausage... cut up link. Pasta...I sense cheese. Seems to be normal sausage link although tasty hints of spice. The sauce marinara, smooth easy on the palet. Pasta- tasty as well It didn't stand out but the quality was good. People are happy service is good, welcoming and friendly. You love the place. read more

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. It's such a steady for me that I take it for granted. All the dishes are quality. The stroganoff is my favorite but often I'll try what the wife or kid is having and it's delightful Price is very reasonable too. Always has been and still is. Went here for the first time on Wednesday and I was very surprised by how empty it was! There were maybe one or two people who were sitting at different times and a few who came in for "to go" orders. But there should have been a line out the door! One bite of the spinach ravioli will remove any doubts about the unassuming nature of this charming noodle spot. I was transported to Italy. The cup of tiramisu was also excellent, and it being in a cup didn't change my expectations at all. The server I interacted with was friendly and attentive, despite it being less of a formal restaurant experience. This place is beyond worthy of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Wow, talk about an experience! My partner and I were craving something hearty and healthy (or as healthy as possible) when we found this spot online. We quickly made our way over and were surprised by what seemed to be a restaurant with a lovely dining area and wide array of options to pick from. Immediately walking in it was apparent this place is not only amazing at the restaurant but also quite yummy to take home as the chair for to go orders was filled. Thankfully, the amazing staff was able to support us and our needs once we were done gazing over the menu. The team was VERY friendly and VERY attentive, which I find EXTREMELY difficult to find these days, so huge kudos to this team. The food itself was absolutely phenomenal, especially for the price. We had their pasta dish which contained some shrimp and fettuccine in a lemon citrus sauce that just made our mouths burst of happiness. The pasta salads were also far more yummy than I anticipated as the flavor of the dressing was hit with spices rather than dull and boring. I'll certainly suggest this place to friends and family. I've been here probably 10 times now and never written review for them and it's about time I do. I almost always get their beef stroganoff and it is pretty good not top-of-the-line for me but still it's pretty good. I also always get their garlic bread which is really good. It's on a crisp sourdough roll and it's just that right crunch and garlic. I usually order ahead but even when I don't, it only takes about 10 minutes to get my order. read more

Had a cozy comfort food meal here with a friend. It's unfussy pasta, crisp and fresh salad, and a long list of homemade desserts that come in large portions for incredible value. Entree prices hovered right between $10-$13! I ordered: - Seafood (salmon, scallop, shrimp) Linguine Provencal $12.50 - I asked for Spicy level 4 - had just a slight kick that I enjoyed - Cheesy Bread $3.50 that comes with 4 pieces (you can get a marinara dipping sauce for $0.75) - My friend split her Caesar salad with me $9.95 I would definitely order it all again! It felt like a home cooked meal in the best way, and the service was friendly but not overbearing. I would love to leave room for a dessert next time. This place is delicious!! You can see in this picture I got the chicken Alfredo fettuccine with the yummy garlic cheesy bread. The marinara sauce is sold separately. The noodles are cooked perfectly. It's not overcooked or undercooked. The chicken had a lot of flavor in it. Great job. The service is great and friendly here. There's plenty of seats inside or you can always take it to go. The menu is just straight forward. This will definitely be a go to spot whenever I go back to Oregon. It's a great value for your bucks. We did take out and when I arrived I just waited for a few minutes and they finished making it earlier than planned. No one ate indoors but they kept having take out orders! 1. Chicken piccata with angel hair. My dad had this one and he said it was very good. He added ** spicy and he said it was very mild haha. He wished he changed the pasta as it all clumped together when it got home but angel hair naturally does that when it gets cold and it depends on the sauce. Though it was chicken breast, he said it was on the tender side. $10.50 2. Mom and I got the same thing so 2 orders of Seafood Linguini Provencal. There were salmon cubes, baby scallops (very tiny) and a few pieces of shrimp. It was in a creamy tomato sauce with white wine and herbs. We opt out of the cheese. It had a good amount of salmon and overall not too dry. Though the baby scallops were hard to scout, they were very nice, not overcooked, not mush or hard. Shrimp were also nicely cooked. After eating it though you do get a bit thirsty. This was filling as it had cream but not as full or dense as cream or cheese-based sauces, I think. $11.25. Very reasonable portion for the price and there are lots of varieties. I look forward in trying their other pastas, too! read more

Not as great as it used to be. The family who owned this recently sold/retired and now it's changed ownership. Supposedly, they changed nothing but... They say: Same food, same menu, same ingredients and cooking technique.. but it's off now. Went there twice in the past month.. and the food absolutely tastes different. And they have added "new" items to a menu that used to be perfect just the way it was. Staff and level of professionalism has dropped. I miss the way the family used to cook things. My dish was not only full of nasty old mushy spaghetti, there was only one slice that f mushroom, a couple spinach leaves and a handful of tomatoes. This is an amazing little hole in the wall restaurant! The Fettuccini Alfredo pasta with chicken was great and the Cajun Shrimp Penne pasta was also just as good! Their cheese bread is amazing so make sure to get those. Lastly, their desserts are made in house and are very tasty. I rarely leave a review but...Have come here since they opened years ago and loved David's cooking. Do mostly take out but have dined in too. I've taken clients and recommended to family and friends. Have several favorites and all were 5 stars. Lately. this past year it's seriously hit or miss other than the cheesy bread and salads. A while ago ordered the beef stroganoff and recognized no one behind the counter as FYI. When home the sides ok but the beef stroganoff tasted so awful. Cream sauce weird and like super cheap meat. No flavor at all and tough. Ate some but just couldn't continue and got stomach issues after. Place closed by then but left message. Undaunted, went back a few weeks later and ordered a different favorite and saw regular staff there who recognize me from the multi times coming there. Told them the experience nicely, I have never complained at any time only given praise. The reaction was so unlike them - as in no reaction! It was like falling on deaf ears or so what. Not even an apology. They weren't that busy and no one at the counter. I thought they might offer something with my order for customer satisfaction like comp the bread or ? but nada. I have always tipped them on to go orders and did again that time but have not gone back since. Recently my family was there and said it's not the same quality. We live almost in Newberg and are happy to make the trip over for a great meal. My husband is a seafood lover so the Seafood Linguini is his favorite, while mine if the Mac n Cheeses! My mom tried this restaurant for the first time about 20 years ago and said it was one of the best pasta dish she ever had. We tried this restaurant a few days ago to test if it was as good as she said it was. We picked up our orders for take-out and the cashier was rude and unwelcoming. No greeting, no smiles, just a "here" when handing us the food. Customer service should definitely be worked on as it already gave us a bad impression of the quality of staffing at this restaurant. We ordered the garlic shrimp fettucini, beef stroganoff, and rotelli pasta with chicken. The pasta was pretty average. I thought the beef stroganoff and rotelli pasta was pretty good, but my brother thought everything was bland. The best dish to me out of everything would probably be the beef stroganoff. Each dish was extremely oily though.. not sure if it was from oil, butter or a mix of both, but oil was literally dripping around the plate. This restaurant was worth trying, but not sure if I want to come back. Pasta was average and each dish was full of oil/butter so it felt like we couldn't eat too much (it tasted too rich). My mom felt like the dishes weren't as good as when she first ate it. read more

I cannot recommend this place enough!!! Anytime I head to Oregon I have to make a stop here, I've brought friends & family from out of town here also and they all were satisfied. I always always always get the Lemon Garlic fettuccine (lemony garlic white sauce that is to die for) & an order of garlic bread! So good & affordable! I got 2 meals, 2 drinks & an order of bread for like $30 if not less! Only downside is that it's a small restaurant so limited seating but I literally don't care I'd take it to go if I have to! read more

This is such rare find that I can't believe it exists! I had the most amazing seafood fetuccine in the past 4 months. The flavor of salmon, shrimp and scallops blends perfect together. The layer of cheese on top compliments the dish so well. The garlic bread omg, you gotta have the garlic bread! I feed on those delicious yummy garlic bread! Last but not least, their dessert all are made in house so when I got my tiramisu, I can definitely tell the difference from the store brought one.
