Creme Brulee

Took a colleague to birthday lunch today. The carpaccio was so chewy I couldn't swallow any of it. Server ignored the fact he removed a full plate. Ordered dessert to go joking I was still hungry since lunch was awful and he dismissed the comment. Just opened the bag and this pathetic $13 crème brûlée didn't even have berries (birthday girls had blackberries and raspberries). Boo for Mitchell's. This will be off the list for a while.

Special Moment to share this is the place to go or a romantic evening. Just want an upper scale happy hour this also will fit the mark. Staff is extremely friendly- the main reason l go - sometimes l just like to have great service and Mitchell's doesn't disappoint. Drinks are made very well. The best thing for me on my visit was chocolate mousse and jalapeño scalloped potatoes. My calamari was just ok. I also tried a new dish to me tenderloin duet off prix fix and it was cooked very well.

All went well. We made reservations on line on the way to Columbus for a dinner prior to catching Diana Krall at the Palace yesterday evening. We arrived 20 minutes early and were seated immediately. Ryan? Was attentive throughout and made several suggestions that we took while there and the best way to get to the concert afterwards. We order shrimp cocktail and oysters in the half shell. Both were good. She ordered the ribeye and I got the lamb. Both were great. We shared the broccolini and neither ordered desserts. With 18-19 % tip the bill was ~235 which was a bit higher than we had planned. Jazz was playing on the house system and there was enough dampening in the venue that we could easily hear one another. I didn't love the butter for the bread nor did I love the cream sauce for the broccolini. But it was a nice touch to add a small dab of extra horseradish on the cocktail sauce in case u wanted it extra hot!!

Mac and cheese, Brussels with bacon, mashed potatoes

We came here for a business dinner and had an incredible experience. About 14 people. The process to reserve the room was very easy. Tamara was helpful and showed me all the options we had. When we got to the dinner, the table was set up nicely and the room was beautiful and intimate. Our servers, Lillian and Nick, were complete rock stars and very professional. They quickly got us anything we needed and kept coming around to check on us. They were also very knowledgeable on the menu and wine selections and pairings. The food was AMAZING. Really well presented and flavorful. Only a couple of shortfalls - the lobster bisque was OK, but not the best I've ever had, and no lumps of lobster in it, and the asparagus was not my favorite - too thick and grassy/greenery tasting. Otherwise, the food was so good. I got the filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection. Honestly one of the BEST I've ever had! Lots of flavor and the meat was buttery and easy to cut through. The sides: mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese, and Brussels sprouts were great, too! They had 4 options for our dessert that was nearly impossible to choose from. I ended up with the NY cheesecake and it was to die for. I was so full I couldn't even finish it haha. I highly recommend this restaurant for a business dinner or a date night.

Seafood tower with crab

What happened ? I used to love this establishment under original ownership. This experience was pretty average for the price paid. Nice environment. Ordered a seafood tower to start. Reasonable price and ample for two. Crab legs were ridiculously small, but other items were good and tasted good. We did wait almost 30 minutes from the time we ordered to its arrival. Small filet as entree was very tender and flavor was good. Unfortunately it was barely warm, was clearly sitting a while before being brought out. One server covering at least 8 tables with no help for food runners or water / drink help. An impossible task to deliver a higher end experience. Things were so slow and we had to depart to get to a show I gave server my card before the check came so he could run it. Still took 25 minutes for him to return with receipt. Although not a bad experience, it fell very short of what I would expect when spending $250 before gratuity.

We came here for my birthday and received fantastic service!! The hosts were very friendly & they even placed birthday confetti on my table. Most of the food was fantastic, and came out pretty quickly. The Caesar salad had a strong vinegar taste to me, but the rest of the food was delicious. We loved the warm bread they brought out in the beginning, with the dessert being the only thing that we enjoyed more. The manager came out to check on us during our meal & make sure everything turned out okay, and the server, Nicole, was very friendly our whole visit. 10/10 would come back here again

I just enjoyed a nice bachelor party boys meal at the lovely Mitchell's steakhouse. Massive props to the restaurant for having solid availability for a large group and being so kind in customizing a message in the menu for our bachelor. I thought the service was very kind and helpful, although it did take a while to get the food. Not a big deal though because I was having fun with my friends! You can tell how much fun I was having because of the picture where I look surprised.

We went for a Saturday night Happy Hour. Well, I think it may be the best HH in Columbus. Elegant setting, excellent food and drinks, excellent service, and valet parking. Give it a go when you have the time and the $.

We started with the king crab brûlée, which was as good as it sounds -- rich, a little indulgent, and gone faster than we planned. The Wagyu flight was outstanding across the board, but the Japanese A5 was on another level entirely-- borderline unfair to the rest of the plate. Sides don't always get the spotlight, but the creamed spinach absolutely deserves it. If all vegetables tasted like that, I'd have made better life choices years ago. The potatoes Anna were also excellent --crispy, buttery, and exactly what you want them to be. Dessert sealed the deal. The honey butter cake was fantastic -- warm, rich, and worth saving room for (even if you think you don't have any left). My only "complaint," if you can call it that, is I was hoping to see a bananas foster on the menu -- but I'll survive. Overall, a great meal, great atmosphere, and a place we'll definitely be back to.

The service we received was on par with all the other Cameron Mitchell restaurants (fantastic). I always like to try an old fashioned whenever I'm at a new restaurant and Butcher & Rose did not disappoint. When trying to decide on entrees, our waitress described the lobster roll as fresh, buttery and delicious so that's what I went with. Unfortunately, it was just a basic bun with basic lobster and a side of melted butter. I had been so looking forward to trying it, however there was no finesse or excitement to the dish. After the disappointing lobster roll, I decided to go all in for dessert and order the creme brûlée. It more than made up for my disappointing entree. It was beautiful, creative and most importantly, DELICIOUS. It was a great lunch despite the disappointing lobster roll and I will definitely be back for dinner service.

Concerns of food were not taken seriously. Ambiance/Atmosphere: dimly lit, fairly quite setting. A little darker than you'd want. Food: 1. Pretzel bread is soft and has a strong pretzel flavor. Well salted. 6.5 2. Steak tressel was well cooked medium. The garlic added a beautiful back end flavor and the mushrooms were soft and well salted. The crusting on the steak was well done. Steak was tender and well seasoned. 7 3. Gruyere gratin is soft and had a subtle but tasteable seasoning. The cheese sauce was watered and tasted mostly like butter. The flavor was very weak. 3.5. I asked for extra cheese sauce to help and although it brings it up to a 4. It was still quite weak in flavor. 4. HP burger is nicely charred and well seasoned. Tender. The HP sauce is fatty and smooth with a nice flavor. Bun is slightly sweet and airy. 7.25 5. Deconstructed smore is warm, rich, and smooth. All elements blend beautifully into a molten rich brownie lava cake. The marshmallow fluff is smooth and creamy. Graham crackers add a nice crunch. 7.25 6. Banana foster butter cake was warm, soft and buttery. Bananas add a great flavor and the warm butter cake pairs beautifully with the vanilla ice cream. Cold and warm combo is delicious. The alcohol didn't fully burn off and you get a subtle taste with the slight burn. Honestly not mad at it. 6

Every single plate was hitting. The steak was cooked exactly how I asked, seasoned well, and actually had flavor all the way through. The lobster ravioli was rich but not heavy, and the salmon was flaky and done right, not dry at all. What really made it though was the service. They were attentive without hovering, kept the drinks coming, and made it feel like a special night without being extra about it. For a birthday dinner, that matters. From the moment we arrived, the evening was filled with warmth and thoughtful surprises. Reservations are a must, but Stephanie at the bar made the wait delightful with her cheerful smiles and welcoming energy. A quick cocktail later, we were informed our table was ready. The highlight of the night? Grace, my favorite person at the restaurant, made a grand entrance with a half-dozen roses--delivered as requested to surprise my lovely wife. It was such a sweet touch that made me look like a hero! Once we were seated, Matt came by with two Champagne glasses and a bottle of top-shelf bubbly to toast the occasion. Talk about starting the night off right! The surprises didn't stop there--our first appetizer was on Grace, which was such a generous gesture. Then came the main courses: a perfectly cooked filet for my wife and delicious scallops for me. Every bite was divine, and I savored every single scallop.
