We actually came in for my spouse's birthday. There was a $25 off coupon in the app. So make sure to sign up for that!! The service was really good. We got the full regular experience. The meat was delicious too! And it kept coming!! Kids eat free as well. It was nice!

TLDR; The service was extremely slow and disorganized, and no one cares about customers. Be prepared to waste alot of time waiting for food and service! Fogo de Chao has been our go-to AYCE steakhouse for the past 10 years. However, after this disappointing ~$300 experience, this was the first time we considered going to a different steakhouse for future occasions. We were visiting from out of town for the holidays and found out there was a Fogo in Columbus. Came here with a party of 4 for a special celebration. All of us got the churrasco for $49 per person. The staff seemed moody and the tableside service was slow. The first red flag was when we initially sat down and received the cheese bread and none of the other sides. We were confused and wondered if Fogo had stopped offering the plantains, yuca fries and mashed potatoes. After waiting a *long* time for our server to come back, we ended up asking one of the gauchos who was passing by our table if they still served them. He was surprised we didnt get them yet so he flagged the server to finally bring us the sides. All 4 of us had our green marker on the entire time and it was atleast 10 minutes in between when the first and second gauchos came by with meat. We were all waiting what felt like forever in between all the meats. We mostly ended up filling up on the salad bar and sides 30 minutes into the meal. Even though the restaurant was about 40% occupied, there were only 2 gauchos going around with tableside service. There was a 15-20 minute period that we noticed no meat on the floor at all. How can you not have any meat available for that long as an AYCE steakhouse with that many customers? It just seemed like they were either understaffed or being cheap and skimping on meats intentionally (maybe both?). We had to request a specific meat cut twice before someone finally brought it to our table, and this was already 30 mins after we asked the first time. On another note, this is the first Fogo we have been to where the servers didnt ask us about steak doneness levels. One gaucho came by with ribeye and it was EXTREMELY well done (tough and inedible). Seemed like they overcooked it and were trying to get rid of it by offering it up to unlucky customers. And to top all this off, our server was noticeably upset and moody the whole time. We were never offered any refills on our drinks or sides so we had to ask her for those as well. At this point, we just accepted that all the employees were just doing the absolute bare minimum for service. Overall, this was the worst experience we've ever had at Fogo. The lousy service ruined the mood since this was supposed to be a happy celebratory lunch. Would not visit again. This is just one of those places you regret tipping at.

5/5 This was our first time trying the new Fogo De Chão Brazilian Steakhouse in Polaris, and WOW we were blown away! We've always gone to Texas de Brazil at Easton and, while the concept is similar, Fogo De Chão was on another level. Truly twice as good in every way. From the moment we walked in, the customer service was absolutely top tier. The entire place inside, outside, and even the women's restrooms was spotless and beautifully kept. We had reservations for 4:30 PM on a Friday and arrived about 5-10 minutes late, which led to a short wait in the entrance seating area. We were originally supposed to be seated right in the front, but we asked for a different option and I'm so glad we did. They placed us in a private event-style room that usually fits around 40 people, and we had the whole section to ourselves for most of the time. It made our experience feel extra special and intimate. Now, the food... absolutely unforgettable. We had: * Garlic parmesan chicken * Bacon-wrapped steak * Sirloin steak * Pork * pork sausage * Pork belly that literally melted in your mouth * Bronzino fish * Buttery mashed potatoes * Brazilian-style black beans * Brazilian cheese bread (amazing!) * Grilled cheese that was unbelievable especially when the server drizzled honey over it * Smoked salmon with capers * Fresh sides and salads from the self-serve bar All of the meats were brought around by the servers, and everything every single thing was hot, fresh, flavorful, and extremely high quality. You could truly taste the difference. Overall, I would give this experience 10/10. It exceeded every expectation, and we will absolutely be returning. Also worth mentioning they're open on Thanksgiving!

Pros -Quality of meats -Sour mocktail was one of the best I had -Honey cheese option -Cheese bread -Interior Con -Salad bar choices are okay, barely any warm items -Had to ask for short rib, never stopped by us -Filled out a form during reservation stating it was our anniversary and our restrictions like pork, but it was obvious that no one looked at that, because we were offered pork options throughout the night, would have been nice to be offered more of what we could have, many things are sausage or wrapped in bacon -Didn't care for the mashed potatoes, I would skip -Caramelized bananas were soggy -Polenta fries too salty -Since price is more than Texas de Brazil, I would rather go there with more salad bar options and they always bring around short rib

I know this is a chain, but it still offers my favorite churrasco experience in Columbus. I also prefer their feijaoda bar over some of the other Brazilian places. I feel like they have more exotic fruits and unique salads. My favorite cuts have to be their picanha and bacon wrapped meats. The peppered thick cut bacon makes it top notch. I'm not much of a sauce person. I like it when the freshness and quality of the raw ingredients shine, and that's how Fogo de Chao shines. They have a pretty good HH too at the bar, so if you're looking for a special night out and have a good appetite, come experience a meat lover's dream. Although, a vegetarian would be quite happy at their sides and accoutrements bar too.

Finally got the chance to visit the new Brazilian restaurant that recently opened on Polaris Parkway called Fogo de Chão. They are located in over 20+ states & several countries. They bring all various types of meat including chicken, pork chops, and every kind of steak you can imagine to your table hot + fresh off the fire and slice it for you at your table. In addition you are able to select your sides from the brazilian market place bar. Premium sides are served from the kitchen. The waitress Gee-Gee and manager Armando at this location were the absolute BEST! They treated us like really good family, including bringing me a purse rack to the table to hold my purse! Beautiful ambiance, the biggest fully stocked alcohol bar, it was truly a wonderful kind of dining experience that we never had but LOVED! We definitely plan to return for their brunch, which we heard was top tier! They can be quite pricy, but check out the menu ahead of time so that you know what you're walking into. At the end of the day, make a reservation, and go! You won't be disappointed!

I've been to Fogo twice now since it opened and it's one of my favorite new restaurants! I've been to the NYC location so I knew that it was going to be amazing! It's beautifully decorated and the ambiance is great. We opted for the Full Churrasco which included the passed meats and the market table. The meat was excellent and if I didn't see something I wanted I just asked and they sent it our way. I loved the market table but I wish there were more hot items on it. The second time we went it was for Mother's Day brunch and I really wish there were waffles or French toast or something like that. The cocktails were also very good. I tried the skinny Caipirinha and the Bloody Mary. I saw someone else drinking a delicious looking lemonade- I will definitely try that next time! I've already made another reservation and can't wait to go back!

Check out sausage... looks like it is left over from Halloween. Fingers from the return of the dead. It is so burnt No one bring fresh plate Keep recycling the same cut meat until I ask.. I thought you have this and and that... This is the worst fogo I have been. Define "de Chão"...comida da terra

Everyone that worked there was super nice and helpful. Multiple people stopped by to check on us and welcome us. All the food was delicious and we picked out a few desserts to take home from the bakery (not included in the buffet price). There's also a little Brazilian market attached to the restaurant that is worth checking out as well. The restaurant itself had a really nice vibe with exposed brick walls. The label clearly said "Use By Thu 7/23," meaning the product was past its expiration date. This is a serious quality control and food safety issue. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I've had problems with this restaurant. The service is often very slow, and more than once I have waited for over an hour, only to be told that the item I ordered was unavailable and that I had to choose something else instead. My advice to anyone buying ready-to-eat food here is: always check the expiration date before eating, because it seems that the staff is not consistently checking it themselves.

Have you ever been to a Brazilian Steak House with roving table service? What an interesting…read moreexperience! Rodizio is a "churrascaria," which is a Brazilian restaurant specializing in barbecue. Located in the heart of the arena, District, Rodizio is a singular dining destination. Nothing quite like it anywhere nearby. There is a full salad bar, which is more like a food bar in actuality. Selections include traditional salad items of course, but also selections of pastas, vegetables, and other hot and cold food selections, as what can be best described "side dishes." This portion of the restaurant is self serve. There are of course menu items that can be ordered, but what most people come here for is the roving meat experience. A wide variety of beef, poultry, and other meat are regularly rotated throughout the dining area, by staff who act as carvers at your table. The word rodizio in Brazil actually means "rotation." Here's how it works: a meat server staff member, known as a "gaucho," will walk up to your table with a particular type of meat, and ask you if you would like a piece of that meat. If you reply, yes they will carve a piece from the larger cut of meat for you. These meats are hot, fresh from the kitchen, and ready to serve. This is how traditional Brazilian barbecues historically often work, in country. A carnivore's delight. The whole process is managed at table with a wooden peg/coaster, which is red on one end and green on the other. If the green side is up, that means the table wants to be served meats. On the other hand, if the red side is up, that means the table does not want to be served at that time. This is an immersive dining experience and very participatory. I find that it fosters conversation at the table with people you are attending with, and the entire restaurant is lively and vibrant. It is an experience that I highly recommend and always look forward to visiting.

So it was some surprise to try bandeja paisa (traditional huge platter of various Colombian foods) and find it the best anywhere, including in Colombia. 25 years later and that still holds true. I have yet to find arepitas as exquisite of those of Carolina and Carlos, and they remain my standard (I think they are Venezolano, but does it matter? They are delicious and they are the best I've had). The cilantro salsa is unique and really adds to a lot of the foods they offer. My spouse is all about the maracuyá juice, and their options are worth sampling since its not usual for most Americans. For me it is comfort food not only as a Colombian-American, but as a (former) long-time resident of Columbus who at times craves reminders of the past. I've been to Pearl through its incarnations, then Gahanna, and now this Brewery District location. This one is my favorite of the three, with nice space and a great Latin atmosphere. We were there recently on a Saturday and had top-notch service, and even a visit from Carlos to reminisce about old times. El Arepazo is a Columbus institution. If you are curious about Latino food, and Colombian/Venezuelan cuisine in particular, it is THE place to start. Columbus is lucky to have a restaurant like this that beats out anything in Queens, Elizabeth NJ, Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, and would give places from Bogotá to Caracas a run for its money. It's legit, its delicious, it is attractively priced, the location is great, the staff is warm and friendly. 10/10. Stop reading and go eat there!

On Saturday, August 8th, I took a friend to breakfast at First Watch, across the street from Arepazo. I parked in a legal parking space in front of Arepazo at approximately 10:30 AM and left around 12:30 PM. Later that day, I discovered that the front passenger door of my Jeep Grand Cherokee had been badly dented. At first, it looked as though someone had purposely kicked it. I retraced everywhere I had been that day in an attempt to determine exactly what happened. After reviewing my home security camera footage, I was able to narrow down when the damage occurred. The footage clearly showed that when I backed out of my garage to go to breakfast that morning, my passenger door was undamaged. When I returned home after breakfast, the damage was clearly visible. A few days later, after Arepazo reopened following Sunday, I called the restaurant and spoke directly with Carlos. I explained what had happened and told him that I had noticed security cameras on the restaurant that appeared to be pointed toward the area where my Jeep had been parked. Carlos confirmed that the cameras were working, although he told me the resolution probably would not be good enough to identify someone's face. I explained that I wasn't concerned about identifying a face--I simply wanted to know what happened to my vehicle. Carlos assured me that he would help me figure out what happened and promised to get back to me. It has now been two weeks. My insurance estimator has since inspected the Jeep and determined that the damage is consistent with someone's body having been slammed into the passenger door. The estimated repair cost is approximately $3,300. Despite Carlos telling me he would help, I have not heard from him. I have called several times and left messages with multiple staff members, including his manager, Brent. On Tuesday, August 18th, at approximately 6:30 PM, I finally went to Arepazo in person. I spoke with several employees, including Brent. Brent went into the back to call Carlos. After approximately 15 minutes, he returned and told me that he had just spoken with Carlos and assured me that Carlos would contact me. He still has not. Is this a review of the food at Arepazo Tapas Bar and Grille? No. Is it a review of the restaurant's service? Not exactly. But I do believe it says something about how the owner treats people. I wasn't asking Carlos to pay for the damage. I wasn't accusing Arepazo or any of its employees of causing it. I was simply asking him to follow through on his promise to check security footage that might show what happened to my vehicle while it was parked directly in front of his restaurant. I even told Carlos and Brent that I would gladly come back and eat at Arepazo if they would simply help me with the security footage. Apparently, after two weeks, several phone calls, multiple messages, an in-person visit, and two separate assurances that Carlos would contact me, getting back to me isn't a priority. That's disappointing. Sometimes how a business owner treats someone when there is absolutely nothing in it for him says more about the business than the food ever could. I guess Arepazo has enough business that Carlos doesn't need mine--or that of the friends and family I might otherwise have recommended to his restaurant.

I wish they had more steaks to choose from though and they had sides that you had to pay extra for. I got the 3 course meal for the Special - I got the lobster bisque, and the small tenderloin which came with shrimp, and then the Bundt cake for the dessert. Overall it was a good meal! It was a little bit slow because of the holiday so I understood that. But will have to come back soon!

It definitely sets the tone for a nice night out. Also this location is very different from Polaris. The service was okay...not terrible, but not as attentive or memorable as I expected for a steakhouse of this reputation. As for the food... this is where it fell short for me. I've been wanting to try it for a while because I've heard so many good things, so I came in with high expectations. Unfortunately, the steak wasn't cooked the way I prefer, the brussel sprouts weren't enjoyable, and the mashed potatoes tasted like they may have been instant, which was disappointing for a place known for steak. The one standout for me was the meatballs, they were actually really good and had great flavor. Overall, for a birthday dinner and for the reputation it has, our party left a bit disappointed. It wasn't a horrible experience, but it just didn't match the expectations we had going in.

Knowing the power that online reviews can have and taking some experiences with a grain of salt…read morehere and there because sometimes you hit that one off day where maybe a place that's normally epic just doesn't quite have their stuff together, I find that I end up giving 5 stars in a range that goes from "really good" to "Michelin needs to stop in here (or already has)." This is definitely on the latter end of the spectrum. I popped in here tonight for a late dinner (830ish on a Saturday) to find the place relatively busy but with plenty of open seats. The decor was a nice mix of dark and light with the bright green accents plus a big screen TV cycling tropical getaways (I assume from places in Latin America). I was seated and tended to quickly by a hostess and server, respectively. I got my order in for a coconut mojito and a chicharron arepa right away. My mojito came shortly thereafter with my arepa not long after that. The mojito, as you can see, was garnished with a generous amount of shredded coconut on top and was heavier and creamier than a normal mojito, lighter on the mint flavor and pushing closer to a piña colada than a mojito. All in all though, still quite a refreshing drink after a hot and humid day. The arepa though was really the star of the show. The flavors and textures and everything about it were just mind-blowing. The handmade cheese, the incredibly seasoned and cooked pork, and the crispy arepa were all just *BOOM*. The avocado had a little bit of surface darkness on the one end that could have been polished up a little bit but not the end of the world. One I finished with these, I waited patiently for a while for my server to come back but alas I had to pop up to the bar to get my caipirinha. This version was slightly sweeter than some versions I've had and I don't mind sweet, but just be aware for those who may be considering it. Eventually, my server came back and apologized for being gone so long as she was conversing with her boss. Like I said... grain of salt. Aside from a minor inconvenience of having to walk 10 feet to the bar myself, this place absolutely blew me away and I will absolutely come back if I ever find myself in town again. Bonus points for having gluten and allergen callouts on their normal menu as well!

Every day they have specials and it was drink special day so we all decided to treat ourselves with some fun cocktails, they had a great selection and my Caipirinha was delicious! They also have a good happy hour I see that I'll need to check out sometime. For lunch I got the breakfast arepa- gluten free and vegetarian. With that cilantro sauce- so yummy! Another friend also got an arepa she loved, and another got bandeja paisa which she loved but couldn't finish. Love the decor and ambiance in there, it's really lovely, and we were well looked after by our waitress. Definitely recommend!
