    Grilled pineapple

If you're a meat lover looking for a place to have an absolute feast, Rodizio is an amazing option! This Brazilian grill specializes in meat of all types, including beef, chicken, pork, seafood, and lamb. It's such a fun experience since you are given a little wood tool with green and red sides as the servers walk around with the various meats. You can flip the stick to show green if you want the servers to stop at your table and offer you the assorted meat or flip it red if you're full/need a break and do not want them to serve you. Out of the many options that I tried, my favorites were the Coração de Frango Temperado (chicken hearts) which were slightly chewy, the grilled lamb, and the Presunto (grilled ham). Some of the meats are more seasoned/cooked than others so you can try a bunch and see what your favorites are! The grilled pineapple was also super juicy and such a refreshing combination with the meat. You can enjoy unlimited salad bar with the protein as well! I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of options offered at the bar. They had so many different types of salad and sides, including ceviche and pickled beets, and grilled vegetables. They also had really good sauce options like their spicy sauces and churrasco sauce The servers were all very courteous and friendly. It would be a great place for a celebration with friends and family as well! It is located downtown so you do need to find street parking or paid garage parking.

Yesterday on Friday, September 19, we went as a group of five adults and a 20 month old baby to Rodizio Grill to celebrate the birthdays of two people in our group. We had two birthday coupons prepared for the occasion. We arrived for our 6:30 p.m. reservation, and once seated, we immediately informed our server that one member of our group was pregnant and could not eat any meat cooked less than medium. The server acknowledged our request. We then went to the buffet, where we found that several items were lukewarm. During our first hour at the table, the meat rotation only included spicy chicken, parmesan chicken, and chicken hearts. They brought steak only once, and it was completely rare (just seared on the outside). We politely told the server about this and asked if they could bring medium-cooked meat instead, explaining again that we had a pregnant person in our group. The server agreed and assured us it was on its way. After an hour and twenty minutes in the restaurant, our server informed us that the birthday coupons automatically add a 20% gratuity to the bill. She then dropped the check at our table--without us asking for it and her without offering dessert. At this point, no properly cooked meat had been served yet, and the few that arrived continued to be very rare, not edible even. When another server came to pick up the check, we explained everything that had happened. She apologized, offered us free dessert, and once again assured us that medium-cooked meat would be on its way. Forty minutes later, a server finally brought out several cuts of meat on an extremely hot tray and placed it directly in front of the baby sitting at our table. The meat was completely overcooked, dried out, and portioned so small that it couldn't feed our group. Another server came by, questioned why the tray had even been placed on our table, and asked again if we wanted it. Thinking it was some sort of joke, we said no. He then removed the tray and immediately offered it to the table beside us. We never asked for any additional discounts and ended up paying our bill in full (it did include birthday discounts) At around 8:30 and two hours later with none of our requests being met, we asked the hostess at the front desk to validate our parking ticket so we wouldn't have to pay at the garage. She appeared to agree and acted as if she had done it, but when we tried to leave the garage, we discovered the ticket was never validated and we ended up having to pay. In short, we left hungry, upset and with the worst restaurant experience we've ever had, and it completely ruined our celebration. -10/10

Went here for my 1st time as my birthday gift with my Daughter and her boyfriend. I only gave 4 stars just because it deserved a 5 but figured I give it benefit of doubt and wonder if it gets better. Make sure you go here hungry! It's all you can eat and we'll it's not cheap but I also generally felt it was semi worth the price because oh my the meat was excellent. And this grilled pineapple they had was incredible too. You can just order salad bar if you want. Here's a few pictures but don't give it justice.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant, and I was greeted right away as soon as I walked in. I had a reservation so the check in process went smooth I would recommend doing a reservation instead of showing up. As soon as we sat down let the food begin they started bring around the meat and it was very tasteful I might add. Made my way to the salad bar and they have a really nice selection of hot and cold items. The food was very fresh and good quality. I must say that I will return, but only on a special occasion considering its a bit pricey, but I think it's worth it.

Rodizio Grill is a really delicious and unique place for any special event. I have been a few times but my most recent visit was on New Year's Eve. It is located in the Arena District and parking isn't too bad with a garage located behind it. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. The lighting was nice, not too dark but also not blinding us. We started with some drinks and I had one of the specialties for the holiday which was a Brazilian take on a French 75. It was really delicious and I would order it again. The trick to getting your moneys worth is to not fill up on the sides but it's hard when they are so delicious! I had some mashed potatoes, alfredo pasta, roasted squash, polenta sticks, and my absolute favorite which is the cheese bread. I'm not alone in loving this as the tray of it was almost always empty. Luckily we had a good view of the bar and would watch to see when it was refilled. Last time I was here, our server brought the cheese bread, polenta sticks, and cinnamon bananas to the table in a little bowl but I think it makes more sense to have it on the salad bar. If you've never been to a Brazilian steakhouse, servers walk around with giant skewers of all kinds of meat. They will stop by your table and introduce it and if you want it you'll get a piece or however many you want or a slice if it's beef. My favorite of the meats are the sweet and spicy chicken, parmesan chicken, and the glazed ham. The beef is all pretty good but I can't taste a real difference between them, that is my main gripe. Also, I got a cut of beef and after he walked away I found it was 100% fat which was a bummer. You absolutely HAVE to get the pineapple and I recommend getting at least 2 slices when they come to your table as it's very popular and doesn't come around a ton. Their dessert selections are also really nice. The cinnamon bananas are included but I recently also ordered what was described as a Brazilian churro. It had more of a donut texture than a churro but it was fried and then tossed in cinnamon sugar and was very good. My biggest advice would be to come here very very hungry and pace yourself. You don't need to say yes to every meat on their first pass. By only having 1 or 2 at a time I was able to enjoy a lot more than others at my table. I look forward to my next visit!

What does the dinner meal included and how much for each person?

The dinner includes rolls and as many trips to the salad bar as you can stuff in yourself. Plus all of the meat you can eat. The meat is brought by the table VERY frequently. Drinks are not included in your price. I never did ask about the daily…

They have a menu of items you can try in order off of, but my sister and I got the buffet and we're sure glad that we did. They had some salad bar items and then hot bar items with different items that rotate daily. In addition, they had a gentleman carving beautifully cooked steak, lamb, and sausage at your request. Everyone that worked there was super nice and helpful. Multiple people stopped by to check on us and welcome us. All the food was delicious and we picked out a few desserts to take home from the bakery (not included in the buffet price). There's also a little Brazilian market attached to the restaurant that is worth checking out as well. The restaurant itself had a really nice vibe with exposed brick walls. One of the women working told us that happy hour is from 12 to 8 but I will have to come back and try one of their cocktails at some other point. I will definitely be back.

The label clearly said "Use By Thu 7/23," meaning the product was past its expiration date. This is a serious quality control and food safety issue. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I've had problems with this restaurant. The service is often very slow, and more than once I have waited for over an hour, only to be told that the item I ordered was unavailable and that I had to choose something else instead. My advice to anyone buying ready-to-eat food here is: always check the expiration date before eating, because it seems that the staff is not consistently checking it themselves.

So it was some surprise to try bandeja paisa (traditional huge platter of various Colombian foods) and find it the best anywhere, including in Colombia. 25 years later and that still holds true. I have yet to find arepitas as exquisite of those of Carolina and Carlos, and they remain my standard (I think they are Venezolano, but does it matter? They are delicious and they are the best I've had). The cilantro salsa is unique and really adds to a lot of the foods they offer. My spouse is all about the maracuyá juice, and their options are worth sampling since its not usual for most Americans. For me it is comfort food not only as a Colombian-American, but as a (former) long-time resident of Columbus who at times craves reminders of the past. I've been to Pearl through its incarnations, then Gahanna, and now this Brewery District location. This one is my favorite of the three, with nice space and a great Latin atmosphere. We were there recently on a Saturday and had top-notch service, and even a visit from Carlos to reminisce about old times. El Arepazo is a Columbus institution. If you are curious about Latino food, and Colombian/Venezuelan cuisine in particular, it is THE place to start. Columbus is lucky to have a restaurant like this that beats out anything in Queens, Elizabeth NJ, Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, and would give places from Bogotá to Caracas a run for its money. It's legit, its delicious, it is attractively priced, the location is great, the staff is warm and friendly. 10/10. Stop reading and go eat there!

On Saturday, August 8th, I took a friend to breakfast at First Watch, across the street from Arepazo. I parked in a legal parking space in front of Arepazo at approximately 10:30 AM and left around 12:30 PM. Later that day, I discovered that the front passenger door of my Jeep Grand Cherokee had been badly dented. At first, it looked as though someone had purposely kicked it. I retraced everywhere I had been that day in an attempt to determine exactly what happened. After reviewing my home security camera footage, I was able to narrow down when the damage occurred. The footage clearly showed that when I backed out of my garage to go to breakfast that morning, my passenger door was undamaged. When I returned home after breakfast, the damage was clearly visible. A few days later, after Arepazo reopened following Sunday, I called the restaurant and spoke directly with Carlos. I explained what had happened and told him that I had noticed security cameras on the restaurant that appeared to be pointed toward the area where my Jeep had been parked. Carlos confirmed that the cameras were working, although he told me the resolution probably would not be good enough to identify someone's face. I explained that I wasn't concerned about identifying a face--I simply wanted to know what happened to my vehicle. Carlos assured me that he would help me figure out what happened and promised to get back to me. It has now been two weeks. My insurance estimator has since inspected the Jeep and determined that the damage is consistent with someone's body having been slammed into the passenger door. The estimated repair cost is approximately $3,300. Despite Carlos telling me he would help, I have not heard from him. I have called several times and left messages with multiple staff members, including his manager, Brent. On Tuesday, August 18th, at approximately 6:30 PM, I finally went to Arepazo in person. I spoke with several employees, including Brent. Brent went into the back to call Carlos. After approximately 15 minutes, he returned and told me that he had just spoken with Carlos and assured me that Carlos would contact me. He still has not. Is this a review of the food at Arepazo Tapas Bar and Grille? No. Is it a review of the restaurant's service? Not exactly. But I do believe it says something about how the owner treats people. I wasn't asking Carlos to pay for the damage. I wasn't accusing Arepazo or any of its employees of causing it. I was simply asking him to follow through on his promise to check security footage that might show what happened to my vehicle while it was parked directly in front of his restaurant. I even told Carlos and Brent that I would gladly come back and eat at Arepazo if they would simply help me with the security footage. Apparently, after two weeks, several phone calls, multiple messages, an in-person visit, and two separate assurances that Carlos would contact me, getting back to me isn't a priority. That's disappointing. Sometimes how a business owner treats someone when there is absolutely nothing in it for him says more about the business than the food ever could. I guess Arepazo has enough business that Carlos doesn't need mine--or that of the friends and family I might otherwise have recommended to his restaurant.

I've been wanting to try it for a while because I've heard so many good things, so I came in with high expectations. Unfortunately, the steak wasn't cooked the way I prefer, the brussel sprouts weren't enjoyable, and the mashed potatoes tasted like they may have been instant, which was disappointing for a place known for steak. The one standout for me was the meatballs, they were actually really good and had great flavor. This is definitely on the latter end of the spectrum. I popped in here tonight for a late dinner (830ish on a Saturday) to find the place relatively busy but with plenty of open seats. The decor was a nice mix of dark and light with the bright green accents plus a big screen TV cycling tropical getaways (I assume from places in Latin America). I was seated and tended to quickly by a hostess and server, respectively. I got my order in for a coconut mojito and a chicharron arepa right away. My mojito came shortly thereafter with my arepa not long after that. The mojito, as you can see, was garnished with a generous amount of shredded coconut on top and was heavier and creamier than a normal mojito, lighter on the mint flavor and pushing closer to a piña colada than a mojito. All in all though, still quite a refreshing drink after a hot and humid day. The arepa though was really the star of the show. The flavors and textures and everything about it were just mind-blowing. The handmade cheese, the incredibly seasoned and cooked pork, and the crispy arepa were all just *BOOM*. The avocado had a little bit of surface darkness on the one end that could have been polished up a little bit but not the end of the world. One I finished with these, I waited patiently for a while for my server to come back but alas I had to pop up to the bar to get my caipirinha. This version was slightly sweeter than some versions I've had and I don't mind sweet, but just be aware for those who may be considering it. Eventually, my server came back and apologized for being gone so long as she was conversing with her boss. Like I said... grain of salt. Aside from a minor inconvenience of having to walk 10 feet to the bar myself, this place absolutely blew me away and I will absolutely come back if I ever find myself in town again.
