I would say it is a pretty decent Asian buffet, with a wide variety of options, from sushi and pho to hibachi and more. I really like the selection of Sushi and it was worth the price I paid. They also had a great selection of desserts. The staff was very polite and the place was clean. The buffet is priced fairly.

Solid buffet in the west side of columbus. Very clean with amazing sushi selections including hibachi and pho. Pretty much the same as the feast buffet in the north side of columbus but cheaper.

I skipped lunch, wore my stretchy pants, and came ready to chow down. City Buffet did not disappoint. The buffet selection is primarily Asian cuisine and seafood. The choices include fried and non-fried seafood, sushi, pho, hibachi grill, and chinese restaurant favorites. They also have a few cold salads, soup, a really nice selection of fresh fruit, and desserts. The ice cream is the old school cups with the little wooden spoons. :) The standouts for me were the sushi (very fresh), the mac and cheese, and the hot spinach and cheese casserole. They are really good about replenishing everything on the buffet, and kept making fresh sushi rolls the whole time we were there. Dinner is 18.99 pp during the week and 19.99 pp on weekends (includes Fridays). Definitely a real value for the amount of food. Lunch buffet is only available on weekdays. No alcohol is served.

This is a fantastic buffet and very affordable. It is by the former Target space on W. Broad and it really lovely inside. I was impressed by the variety of food and the food itself. I had sushi and lots of Asian dishes, as well as mashed potatoes and frog legs. The hibachi is in the back, and I chose veggies, noodles, shrimp & chicken to be grilled. Yum. For dessert, there is fruit, little layer cake slices, and cups of ice cream and sherbet. They do not have alcohol, but I had a refillable glass of iced tea. Our server was sweet. I will definitely return. Quite enjoyable. Thank you Marlena L for the rec!

We were created warmly when we entered and everything was very clean and well lit. The hibachi was great! So many options this place should even please the picky eater and the price is fantastic. The only thing is I wished I had known about the pho sooner. We didn't see the options on our napkin dispenser until we were full.

    Great Prices!

The City Buffet is a solid addition to the westside dining scene. This space is pretty large and looks nothing like the former Mark Pi's Feast of the Dragon or Hometown Buffet before that. I mean, this place is nice, as in, someone dropped a ton of Benjamin's on totally revamping the space. The food here is excellent in terms of quality and variety. There's all the usual Asian buffet foods as well as a hibachi grill, pho soup station and an impressive selection of sushi and sashimi. Service was very attentive with refills and clearing plates. Price for lunch was $13.99 and Pepsi was $2.99, so prices are quite reasonable for what you get. The westside is now the epicenter of Asian buffets with The City Buffet, Supreme Hibachi and Asian Buffet. A solid 4 stars for this great new addition to the westside of town. And Here's Why It's Not 5 Stars... The Hot and Sour Soup was not good at all. The lo mein was mushy, but had good flavor. They cluster-seat guests together instead of giving space in-between. There's no signage as to what's what on the sushi and sashimi bar. All that being said... I'm up for going back again, soon!

Been keeping an eye on this place. It finally opened a couple of weeks ago I think. Met Mike G here today to try it out. Thanks Mike, for a nice lunch and for a little background on the place. It had been a Hometown Buffet and I think I had been here then, years, probably decades ago. Then it was Mark Pi's, and I don't think I went there then. Mike said it is much improved over that. Doesn't look like a whole lot outside. Walk in, and it is new and sleek and shiny. Lots of seating. Not a huge buffet, like supreme, but pretty good-sized. Lots of sushi, some fried foods, some entrées, desserts, etc. Everything looked good. Everything smelled good. Everything I had was good. Service was excellent, although of course minimal since it's a buffet. Price is maybe a little high, but what isn't nowadays? Lunch is I think $14. I tried some sushi, which was pretty fresh. Some fried goods, which were not overly greasy. The chicken skewers were big chunks of tender, tasty chicken. The entrée items were decent cuts of meat, and fresh veggies. All in all, I was very impressed. I would almost give it five stars, because I rate Chinese buffets on a different scale compared to regular Chinese restaurants. But still a solid four, very good for a buffet. I ate as much as I could, and still wanted to go back and try more. I will definitely be back. Plenty of parking, comfortable seating.

This is some of the food that I had while at the restaurant. I'm telling you it was delicious. Go enjoy.

My granddaughter asked me to take her to this restaurant, I found it to be a very nice restaurant. The customer service was good, but I found the food to be great. This restaurant have plenty of food to choose from. I had sushi, fried chicken, and some other things. Restaurant was clean and smell of fresh, making me want to eat right away. Also, Upon paying and leaving one of the cashiers invited us back. That made me feel good.

Such a clean and plentiful buffet. I love all the seating and the pho and sushi bars. All the food is fresh and delicious. The actual Chinese food seems to be not the traditional American Chinese which I don't mind but I wouldn't expect to find all the options you are used to at a Chinese buffet. Service is also good even though sometimes I dont think they come around enough for drink refills. Overall, great buffet option

I was pleasantly pleased with just about everything I tried except for the very hard to peel shrimp that once peeled was extremely bland. Everything else was good. I don't care what you try you're probably going to like it. The waitress stayed on filling my water cup and removing the empty plates. Tons of seating, very bright lighting, many buffet areas of wonderful food. There is Asian dishes, sushi, pho, habachi. There is something for everyone and to top it off, there is ice cream too I'll be back!!!!!

As soon as you enter they have a ton of rules that benefit the business not the consumer. I almost turned around and left but I was with someone so I didn't. I wouldn't go back because of the lack of respect for the consumer. It's buffet food so it's not good it's just all you can eat with in a certain time frame.

The service was great, we were greeted warmly! but the food was mid at best. Pho was only alright, but it tasted old and stale. The food made my stomach hurt soooo bad. Jello was terrible, the fruits were alright. The only good thing about this place was sushi, they were good! I personally would not come back here again.

I wasn't as surprised this time by the location in a neighborhood, something that gives it a very welcome feel and suggests with the addition of a covered outdoor porch with picnic tables that this is a good neighborhood hang. I was late for lunch, almost two but there were some folks still finishing up. Good vibe, good music and casual atmosphere. I opted for the Takoyaki app which was tasty and not so burning hot that it scorched the roof of your mouth. Also the right amount of mayonnaise as opposed to often an excess. The Ramen Flight was fun in principle but I wouldn't do it again. I unwisely and perhaps naively assumed there would be mini versions of the full serving of Tonkotsu broth with Mayo, Thai curry and Szechuan with scallions. But it really is just the broth and ramen. Expected the Szechuan to have some heat and peppery lip buzz but did not. The Thai curry was super salty. Just missed some option of veggies and protein. Finally I would suggest not sitting near the front near the stairs to the kitchen. The spot has competing music soundtracks with two different play lists battling between your two ears.

And boy is this place teenager friendly! Not because it is filled with teenagers but because the portions are enormous and can either fill that kid's hollow leg or be plenty for lunch for you the next day. So for most mere mortals this is a 2 for 1 meal deal. With all the selection does come a little chaos in terms of being overwhelmed by the options, not necessarily knowing you order sushi at a separate register than the other options, and the general crowd milling about waiting for pickup. As they clearly do a lot of take out. We have done both dine-in and take out. Dine-in is utilitarian and functional (and the outside porch can be a little less crazy) but it is not where you go to have a quiet, intimate dinner. The sound of the kitchen, the crowds, and the TVs mean there is an underlying soundtrack. So definitely a go to for quick, for wide set of choices, for prodigious portions, and for good functional food.

Probably helped in no small part by the lack of those dimsum trolley/carts that are pushed into your face as you're trying to enjoy what's on your table. If I had to pick just one, the Hung Sai Gow would be the star of the meal. The shrimp and cilantro filling were densely packed like a meatball; it was both hearty and bursting with flavours! We purchased another serving to go and it was a purchase well made. The turnip cakes is always one of our evergreens and this did not disappoint at all! The egg tarts were the least photogenic of the lot, looking pale and under-baked, but thankfully it tasted better than it looked. It was nothing to write home about, however with nothing to complain about either. The oddity, if we may so, for us was the sponge cake. We were curious and decided to try that on a lark. It was mildly sweet, very very bouncy and airy, and felt it must have been steamed instead of baked. We took it home and had it with our afternoon chai/milk-tea. It was delish. Actually we purchased one more to go so we were "blij ei" as the dutch would say! And oh, the mango pomelo shake was really good and I would highly recommend it (if you enjoy mangoes). The service was prompt and friendly, and the ambiance was calm and relaxing. I would definitely go back!

It didn't taste homemade, tasted like the frozen ones I pick up from an Asian store. I did request a side of sweet and sour dipping sauce, but did not receive it. The shrimp egg foo young was good. Sesame chicken was white meat, which I was glad about because it wasn't indicated on the online menu form. We got the Sesame Chicken w/ rice and egg drop soup, and a Beef Lo Mein and it hit the spot. Our group also ordered all across the menu and everything was pretty good. Only notes were for the Wonton soup to have some more seasoning and the Pad See Ew being more spicy. She gave us a complimentary drink from the fridge and although I wish they had better (healthier) options, I appreciated it. She actually rang me up for the Sesame Chicken + a Beef Pho which was $13 instead of the Beef Lo Mein. So I overpaid. I should have double checked the receipt. But overall, I wasn't mad about it since the portions were huge even for a small and the food was good, + the free drink. You don't see these prices and value where I'm from. It had a lobster salad inside and slightly scorched Japanese scallops on top. The smokiness of the scallop was surprising and delicate and complemented the sweeter lobster salad. The Dancing Salmon roll had eel inside and salmon outside. I'm not a huge eel fan but this roll I ate and enjoyed. I hadn't had good restaurant sushi since NYC and this was up there with it.
