Best chicken I've had. Hard time understanding what they are saying when they bring it out, but I like it. Have since the first time i went.

I chose Texas de Brazil for my birthday dinner and left incredibly disappointed. Before my visit, I noticed I never received my birthday reward email for 25% off. When I tried logging into my rewards account, I was told I was no longer a member despite having received rewards emails in the past. I signed up again because new members are also supposed to receive 25% off their first visit, so I assumed one of those promotions would apply. When I arrived, I explained the situation to the host, who assured me it wouldn't be a problem. My reservation was marked as a birthday celebration, and the ticket given to my server also noted both my birthday and rewards membership status. When it came time to pay, no discount had been applied. I explained the situation again and showed proof of my account. The server brought over a manager, who told me that my account was likely deleted when they switched rewards systems a few months ago. Despite acknowledging that the problem was probably caused by their system, he refused to honor either the birthday promotion or the new-member promotion. His response was essentially, "Maybe next visit if it's still not working." There won't be a next visit. What made the situation even worse was that this was supposed to be my birthday dinner. Nobody acknowledged my birthday, despite it being noted on the reservation and ticket. It felt like nobody cared. The service throughout the meal was also disappointing. We repeatedly had to request specific meats because servers kept coming around with the same few options, mostly chicken and flank steak. For a restaurant that charges premium prices and advertises a wide variety of meats, that experience fell far short of expectations. I left feeling frustrated, dismissed, and honestly heartbroken. A birthday dinner should be a special experience, not one that ends with a customer feeling ignored and upset. Between the rewards issue, the manager's unwillingness to make things right, and the poor service, this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I've had. I've been here before and had a wonderful experience, which is exactly why I chose Texas de Brazil for my birthday. I would like to start by saying that I try my best to never leave bad reviews. I've been a service worker before so I am very understanding of many situations and circumstances. But this was possibly the worst dining experience I've ever had. The food was delicious, it was everything else that went wrong. Not the end of the world, a little uncomfortable but not unbearable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There were fans and AC units running inside to help so there was nothing more they could do. It started going downhill when it took almost 30 minutes just to get water to our table. It took our server over 20 minutes to even get to our table after sitting down. It took 45 minutes minimum both times we ordered drinks from the bar (rum and coke and a white wine) and I got the wrong wine BOTH times. The second time it was warm so I could tell it had been sitting out for a while. We still tried to be understanding, but dessert was the final straw. It took a while for them to bring the tray around, ask what we wanted, and then get it out to us. When we finally got it, they only brought out one dessert. Apparently the second one we ordered had sold out and they let us order it anyway without telling us and never asked what we wanted as a replacement. All in all our bill was over $250 and we spent more than two hours there for a pretty bad experience overall. I think it's also insane to charge $8 a bottle for still water for the table. I have been here a few times before. I came with my family and there were 5 of us. I enjoy the food but this time around the service was terrible. I spent most of the night with an empty water. It took her awhile to even come to the table, I started to wonder if she even knew we were there. We ran out of bread and mashed potatoes and was never asked for more. Then the people cutting the meat, there were a few times where there were none in the dining room at all and we all had empty plates. It took forever for my wine to come. Overall the food was tasty, but the service really was off and made the night less than great. read more

Going downhill in food quality. They come to your table when you first get there with all the meats and then never come back even though you have a green light on getting meat. It took forever. The meats were not very tender at all, except for the picanha. The fillet was always overcooked and not very good. How awesome! We came for Valentines Day, I was a bit worried about attention with so many people being there but we were sat very quickly and had tons of food! The food was terrific and the entire staff was courteous and accommodating. Wait was two hours on a Saturday night for two. we visited columbus location, wife allergic to mustard and nuts , let the server know was told everything was ok , after eating the shrimp off the buffet her throat was getting itchy and asked the manager and was informed that the shrimp had mustard , then we slowly finished and ordered dessert and asked about restriction because of nut allergies and asked about chocolate cake was told it was fine can to table wife started eating and the back of the cake had nuts on it !!!! talk to the general manager and all he did was say sorry with no remorse !! read more

I love the food at Texas de Brazil. I first went to the location in Norfolk, VA and was hooked. The thing that doesn't sit right with me is you are not allowed to take the left over side dishes they bring out. For as much as I paid today for 1 person to dine, taking left over sides (that were my first serving) that are just going in the trash should be a moot point. I feel it is a huge waste of food! I get not taking meat leftover because then people would just fill their plates and leave. But I ate by myself, and had a large portion of mashed potatoes, French fries, and some banana left which all went in the trash! When I could've taken them home and ate them later. I feel this is a huge waste of agricultural resources. But I also understand the slippery slope. It's just frustrating to see such waste. read more

I've been to this chain in Orlando and Tampa, and both were head and shoulders better than my experience here. Our server was very attentive, but the gauchos were nearly non-existent. Our entire half of the restaurant was devoid of gauchos for nearly half of our 2 hour meal. The worst past was the butchering of the meat, TONS of tendon/silver skin in all the cuts. They get two stars only for the food. THE SERVICE SUCKS!! Texas de Brazil is my favorite Brazilian steakhouse and I always enjoy going there. This is my first time at this location and it will be my last. I took my family there to celebrate my son's birthday. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a Saturday night and the place was packed - which is understandable but in my opinion the place is very small for so many tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Anyway we were seated and waited and waited and waited for a server. Finally a gentlemen in a suit, who was not a server but a manager came over to take our drink orders. My daughter and I explained to him that we were celebrating my son's birthday and we wanted some kind of cake for him after our meal. He explained that they don't do singing or anything like that so my daughter asked him if they have candles - his response was yes we do and we'll put one on for you. We said ok. Once again we waited and waited and waited for our server so much so that I finally started asking the young lady who was working the two tables behind us to help us. We finally got plates and the little cards that indicate we were ready for the meat. The meat servers come around - they stop at the table on my left, they stop to the tables on my right and behind us. I watched them several times look over at us and walk away like they didn't see us. I looked on the table to make sure all the cards were on green (which they were). Finally the same server must have saw my face and asked me if I needed anything. I told her that the servers were not coming to us and she went to get a few of them to stop by. Halfway through our meal they FINALLY sent a waiter to our table. Now one of our favorite meats in the restaurant are their lamb chops but we didn't see any meat servers with them. We asked our waiter if they have them at this location - his response was yes we do. Do you want 4 or 8? We said 8 he told us he'll have someone bring them out. The chops came out and we finished our meal. They cleared our plates and the waiter slaps the bill on the table. Now a couple of things about this: 1 - He didn't bring the cake we requested, nor did he even ask us if we wanted dessert. We were there with 3 kids so I'm not sure why he didn't ask about dessert. 2 - There was an additional charge for the lamb chops - which he never stated that. When I asked him about both - his response was oh you wanted dessert?? I told him - did you ask us if we wanted dessert?? No response. When I questioned him about the lamb chops he said oh yeah we charge extra for them - they don't charge in NY and Detroit. So I said to him - but you never told us there was a charge - don't you think you should have?? His response was oh ok. So naturally I asked for the manager - the same manager (I believe his name is Brett) came over and when we explained about our lack of service, extra charged for the lamb chops and no dessert- his response was "I told you we don't do singing for birthdays", which is NOT what we were asking for. He merely apologized and walked away. In my opinion, especially since we had small children, he could have sent over a complimentary slice of cake as a way of apologizing but he didn't. I don't think I have EVER not tipped after a meal but I did it this time. No one deserved a tip and we all left VERY disappointed. While I will go back to the location in NY, I DEFINITELY won't be back to the Columbus location. read more

Couldn't quite put my finger on it, but this location is not up to par. From the moment we walked in until we left, we encountered issues. We had to wait 45 minutes after our reservation time to get seated. It took our server a long time to greet us and bring us our check once we were finished. The hot side dishes at the salad bar were all empty. The gauchos stopped at our table immediately, even though we had the red side displayed on the button. The usually amazing and soft little rolls with the cheese they bring to your table were hard. Our experience here was fantastic, and we will definitely be returning! The salad bar was exceptionally fresh and impeccably clean. One suggestion I have is to clearly label the gluten-free and dairy-free options, as some items were a bit unclear. However, everything I tried was delicious. The mashed potatoes were good, and you also get French fries and plantains which were bad, they are just full of sugar. The way it works is you have a little sticker on your table to signal when you want to be served meat cuts (since you can also choose the salad bar only option). Their cocktails were also bad. I'm sorry I don't have more photos to share I just did not focus on that this round. We usually go to Rodizio Grill (also located in Columbus). This was our first visit to Texas de Brazil. I have to tell you--the service is about the same but [[HIGHLIGHT]]the ambiance and the food was so much better than our usual that I think we've decided to change our spot![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Cost is about the same however, Rodizio won't charge you additionally for asking for certain items (like fish). Drinks and desserts are separate and cost extra. The salad bar is included and Texas de Brazils salad bar was beautiful, fully stocked and had lots of high quality extras. I got several cheeses, smoked salmon and some "jalapeño bisque" (which I fully believe was a lobster bisque) was very good. The cheeses were perfect to snack on between my meat bites. They came around plenty and offered; beef steaks, chickens, lambs and sausages. My husbands favorite was the lamb and the bacon wrapped chicken. We also really enjoyed the garlic chicken. My favorite was the top sirloin--so tender, juicy and perfectly salted. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The only reason it missed the 5 stars--the bathrooms. We both agreed the bathrooms were another world. Decided to take my sister here for her birthday dinner. It was our first time. I've been to many Brazilian churrasceria and I can say this place is mediocre. They have all the basic stuff, but the meat service was lacking. What made our whole experience though was how attentive our server was. They sat us in the corner behind all the other tables, making it hard to serve us the meats. However our server made sure to direct them towards us. Most of the meats served were cooked rare. Even though they asked how we liked our meat cooked, most of the meat that came out where very much rare. The mashed potatoes and plantains were delicious though! Would I come back? Maybe. We arrived at 8 o'clock on a Friday night celebrate my son's birthday dinner. We appreciate that he was half off for 12 and under and they gave him a complementary dessert for his birthday. The place was quite full and loud. But they were able to see us fairly quickly, even without a reservation. Our waiter was very friendly and explained the process. We went to the cold bar and made plates. Beautiful and lots of variety. Wish there were names for each item. Then the carvers stated coming and coming. I wanted to try a little of everything but then wasn't able to finish it all. I understand why but was disappointed when told you couldn't take your leftovers. It felt so wasteful. The food was great but the service terrible. Our server was a tall guy with an earring, dark hair and eyes. He gave bad vibes from the beginning. We were confused about how the pricing works as we previously went to fogo de chao and the salad bar was charged separately there. So when we asked our server whether meat+salad bar was priced together and how much, he asked if we still want to be here after telling us the price A little too soon so it came off condescending. Then he proceeded to offer us spring water but he phrased it in a way that implied it's included into the bill. Both me and my partner said yes no ice please. At some point he brought two glasses filled and one more unopened bottle. At the end of dinner, we were charged 16$ for 2 bottles. First of all, you need to be transparent whether water is included or not into the price. Second, if you charge us for two bottles, where did the first one go? He poured some water into the glasses but the bottle couldn't have been empty. So where did it go? Finally, the second bottle remained unopened and we asked it to be removed from the bill -- which the server told us he needs to ask the manager first. WTF?! Get ready to be full! T'was a busy Saturday but we had a reservation and was seated promptly. We headed to the salad bar first then the rounds of different meat started coming as we sat down. Flank, rib roast, filet mignon, chicken garlic, sausage etc it was a lot of meat! The meats were well seasoned however most of the meats were well done. Some tend to be gummy. It was a decent experience, our server was really attentive and made sure we got the meats we wanted. The salad bar was filling. We capped it off with chocolate cake which was moist and good but the crème brûlée was just okay, it wasn't creamy and consistency of like a jello. As someone who has been to the original Texas De Brazil in Dallas (Addison) at its inception that same year and has been to the Easton location numerous times, unfortunately the overall experience was lacking and for the premium price $150 for 2 it was not worth the money. Not sure what point of "green/red" flip card if the skewers would just stop coming in rotation on our table at some point and they can be visibly seen making a U turn and not stopping by us. The lamb chops was an extra charge and that was not disclosed at the time I made the request, until I saw it on the bill. Fogo de Chao for instance includes the lamb chops and it's almost the same price. They are also thicker and juicier there. The ones I had here were thin, dry and small, barely any meat. The other meats offerings were few visits to our table. Funny part, one gentleman kept insisting to drop by with a type of pork meat where I told him from get go our table isn't interested in at all, whereas the one we would've liked more of or mentioned like Picanha, flank steak, stopped coming. The staff were nice and we had a nice waiter/server. Salad bar was nice except I think they need to have some fresh fruit options. For a premium Dinner price, we expected better, especially compared to Rodizio and the upcoming Fogo De Chao. Not sure what happened here. I think quality and overall courtesy took a hit. Texas de Brazil is an experience like none other. If you love large quantities of perfectly grilled meats, this place is for you. I took my significant other out for a fancy night out. Upon arriving, the interior is very nice and clean. There is a small outside, large main and upper area for dinning. When you are seated, you can go to the cold/ salad bar. Here you find a bunch of salad options, charcuterie meats and cheeses, as well as a few hot options. You are then given a token that you flip green when you want the gauchos to bring you meat and red when you are done. The meats are a ton of different beef, chicken and lamb cuts that are shaved at your table, on demand. They are well seasoned and you can get them in whatever temp/doneness you desire. You are also given a cheesy bread, amazing mashed potatoes and fried plantains to accompany the meal. Afterwards, if you have room, there are a bunch of great desserts to choose from. The carrot cake was awesome. The service was top notch and I look forward to going again when we are looking to have a fancier date as it is a bit pricier than most. Although the server claimed all of the meats would be served medium rare (other than chicken/sausage), there was really only a flank steak served at that temperature. Service was acceptable but not what would be expected for a $50/person minimum tab. Salad bar used to be better included premixed quality salads. Seated in a corner we were overlooked by some meat servers. Meat selection is tired and boring and mostly warm by the time they made it to our table. Mixed drinks ordered including mojitos were waste of money. As a Brazilian, I can say this place is FAR from being Brazilian. I went there last night with a customer and it was a huge disappointment. The service was very slow, sides were cold and the caipirinhas were not even made using real cachaca (if it was I couldn't tell). The caipirinhas were more like a juice with excessive amounts of sugar. The beef was okay but they have cuts with BBQ sauce (we do not do that in Brazil at all) and they don't carry chicken hearts, ribeye and neither beef ribs. For the price, this is a huge ripoff. And the weirdest of all....they say they have the original authentic caipirinha...with condensed milk. No menu...so just a heads up....the flank steak and ribeye are the most tender and tasty, but the waiter presented prices and drink's differently than what ended up on the bill. And the front lobby smells of manure....so unexpected for a noon lunch of $150 for 2 people. And the smell lingers out to the dining area. People are paying good money to eat here. No one wants to smell sewage while they dine. 2. Dirty. Just dirty. Broken stall door handles. No TP in most stalls. Broken TP holders. TP all over the floors. Broken soap dispensers. If the lights weren't so dim, I'm afraid of how nasty it would look. THEY FEAR ME Oh man what a restaurant.... This place truly does have all the steak you could ask for. Now i highly recommend dinning here, BUT! I had just sat down after a long day of hard work. And i was HUNGRY. Now i highly recommend coming hungry, if you don't you will be scammed. So i came hungry. Our waiter took one look at me and thought, HAH, this skinny man won't be able to get his money worth of steak. But oh man he was wrong. I immediately flipped my card from red to green calling the servers over bring me the food to feast upon. Now i don't say no. No matter what they bring i must feast upon all the meat. Time after time they brought me meat over and over until they thought i couldn't handle myself. The next 20 minutes i ate and finished all my food. our waiter came over with a prideful look and said i bet ur full. NOO good sir i desire more meat to feast upon. he then told me he was going to bring out more meat but as the servers came out they all took one look at me and feared me!!!!!!! Texas de Brazil is a beautiful restaurant with great customer service. We enjoyed our visit. It's a traditional Brazilian steakhouse with a large variety of meat options. We did not visit the salad bar but had the mashed potatoes and cheese bread served at the table. Our waitress was kind and attentive. Our only con was the twenty minute wait for a table--even with a previous reservation. read more

It has gone way downhill. I found the Gauchos a bit rude tonight. The cheese bread was not at all fresh. Management visited every table except ours seemed to go out of their way to avoid is. Worst of all, we celebrated by son's birthday, and they do nothing for b-days anymore. No dessert. Nothing at all. Our server was nice, but that's about it. I always said they were better than Fogo De Chao, but now I'm looking forward to Fogo opening on Polaris. read more
