With a party of 17, my husband and I arrived early to secure seating, only to be told we couldn't be seated until our assigned server arrived--despite the fact that she had quit and was still on the schedule. A woman who appeared to be a manager or assistant manager then told us to move from the bar area (where we were told to wait) to the waiting area in front of the restaurant. When I questioned why we couldn't be seated in the meantime, she became visibly irritated, raised her voice, and made the situation uncomfortable, emphasizing that "It is Easter" and she was giving her employees time with their families. With that and her display, we decided to leave, and as we did, she repeatedly said, "Have a nice day!" in a condescending tone. Fortunately, LongHorn Steakhouse in Heath, OH turned our day around. They welcomed us immediately, and the managing partner, Adrienne Schmitt, went above and beyond--having heard about our experience, she even provided complimentary appetizers. The difference was remarkable. Excellent service, great food, and genuine hospitality. Kudos to LongHorn--we'll be back. Texas Roadhouse in Newark, your management team needs to do better.

There was no issue with waiting for a table as we were seated at a booth. Everyone ordered the filet except for me who ordered the parmesan crusted chicken with half slab of ribs as a combo. I would say that's a great choice and will certainly order again on my next visit. The venue was pretty busy, but not to the point where it was too loud to hear each other. I'm not very big on chain restaurants, but I can say this was very well run and the food was very good.

In the past we have also shared the mussels. How has our experience at the Old Bag of Nails Pub rated? Well, I love the Fish & Chips with Shrimp, the wife loved her burger, their slaw is top notch, and we both love the mussels, so the food gets a solid 5. The facility is very nice and we rate it a 4+. Our waitresses have been great, all 3 times, and they get a solid 5. The price we've paid for what we have received is very fair, so we rate this a 5. Overall, all of our experience's at this facility have been great and we rate our overall experiences here a solid 5. Will we return to the Old Bag of Nails Pub? We sure will! I was planning that as a dessert, so I stared at my half-eaten meal and told her that I'd like to finish my meal first before thinking about that.
