It's really hard to overstate how good a hang this place is…read more First of all, the name is great. I love a little humility, and keeping people's expectations low is basically my life motto. And Okay Beer actually makes excellent beer. The Suds is an easy-drinking pilsner, and I was into the Stay the Night, a delicious stout at 7% ABV. There's a nice cider on tap if you're gluten free, and a full bar if you're more into liquor. The food? Actually good. We had a delicious mountain of house-brined chicken fingers and fries (the comeback sauce will make you want to come back), a great burger, and the grilled chicken sandwich was actually stellar too and slightly healthier (I imagine). Unfortunately, wings are served only on Sundays, so we'll have to come back for those. There's bowling. If you like bowling, or even if you don't, you know what it is. But it's affordable, the shoes were in good condition, and everyone we encountered, from the bowling guru (I think that's what they are called) to the bartenders to the food counter folks were all laid back and friendly. This is all the things I want in a place to hang out with my friends and my kids, and none of the things I don't want.

The service was inattentive and food was mediocre. Everything seemed previously frozen. When the Buffalo Bills came on at 8pm, all the tables tried to get closer to their small outdoor bar with a few extra high tops. All the waitresses left and those of us left outside were asked to go inside to order. The outdoor bartender was also inattentive and planned to leave shortly after the game started. I would suggest not advertising yourself as a sports bar or having Bills events if you're not going to staff your outdoor area on a nice summer night

The ambiance of the restaurant was nice, with some soft music playing, and sports on the TV. Our server was over within minutes to take our drink orders. We ordered the mozzarella half moons and an order of chicken wings as appetizers. The mozzarella half moons were not too great. They did not have much flavor and they tasted kind of old. But, the chicken wings were the star of the show. We got the Cajun gold sauce and wow... it was so good. There wasn't much of a Cajun flavor to it, but it had this tangy sweet flavor to it that made your mouth salivate. And the chicken wings themselves were fried to the perfect crisp. I ordered the turtle plate with cheeseburgers, french fries, and mac salad. The cheeseburgers and French fries were cooked well. The mac salad was lacking flavor and was just kind of watery. The meat hot sauce atop the plate had too much of a cinnamon flavor for me, that kind of ruined the whole plate for me. My dad order their special fried oyster po boy, which he said wasn't too great. He said the fried oyster were kind of cold, and they were put on a plain roll. My mom got a burger, which she said was a fine burger. I definitely will be back in the future at least for those wings, and to probably try some of their other food.

This was a cute tucked away place with decent parking on the water. There were not a lot of people so parking was adequate. It is very open and immediately I enjoyed the ambience. It had a modern cabin in the lake vibe, sans fireplace, with a good laid back music that was loud enough to enjoy but not a conversation crusher. It was too cold to sit outside so I didn't get to enjoy that. The beer had quite the variety including sours, ales, porters, and IPA. They tried some bold flavors and overall I didn't dislike anything, the chocolate cake porter and beard full of sprinkles top 2. Bartender was very friendly and not in your face. My reason for not 5 star was the menu. I didn't try the food to be honest. It was very basic fried pub food which looked decent, but I've started to appreciate the breweries who really crush the food aspect with local flavors or food variety. Speaking of local though the incorporation of abbots custard into their beer made me enjoy their cream ale (not a fan of cream ales in general)

It gave them more deck and indoor space as well as a spot for boats to dock as they motor down the canal. This review doesn't include the food. We stopped here just for a couple of drinks with our God son and his wife up from NC . We each had a couple of beers and everyone seemed very satisfied with their choices. We sat out on the deck which runs along the canal. It has ample room and contains several tables that accommodate seating for four. Nice atmosphere sitting there watching the boat traffic go by and the main street bridge go up and down. They have several tables inside if the weather isn't cooperating to sit outside. All I will say, is that it was worth it. The place and the menu are pretty cool/chill. Plenty of seating with firepit style table tops, extremely dog friendly, self serve water, and food/drink selections were great too. The waitress was very sweet, but was obviously overworked and busy too. She apologized and gave us free drink tokens and comped us a side order of garlic fries after they ran out of side salads. None of that was her fault, but it shows how the employees and establishment care about their valued costumers. We had the veggie focaccia, garlic fries, and buffalo parm wings (they were huge). No complaints on the quality of food or the portion size since we had more than enough to take stuff home. We will definitely come back. I live only a few minutes away by foot! I don't know why I never came here sooner! Highly recommend
