This miniature bar packs a punch full of great drinks and service!

Very cute little bar that looks like it has like two seats from the outside but has a huge vibe and awesome service! Alix took care of us with Genny Lights, Guinness and Irish Car Bombs!

It's been a minute since my last trip to Half Pint, but I have so many positive and unique memories here. From two horrible tinder dates back in my single days to post-Pride fest hangs with friends, this Park Ave watering hole is a wonderful, tiny spot to grab a beer, congregate, and likely see someone you know walking by in the summer. Their offerings on tap vary but there is something for everyone. Now that I am a dog owner, I can't wait to go here with Fred and show off her cuteness for all of Park Ave to see. The lights in the wintertime remind me of some kind of awesome log cabin, so this spot, while associated with summer for me, is great in all seasons. I honestly do not even know if they serve wine, as this spot is noted for it's beer (hence pint duh) but I know they always have a cider selection ready to go. Patiently waiting for summertime when we can all gather again, enjoy the sunshine, and drink a beer.

I made an impromptu stop on my way past Rochester to have lunch with a friend, then we stopped here. What an adorable little pub! We sat outside to enjoy the 5 minutes of summer we are allotted, and got to see lots of puppers walking by while we enjoyed a couple summery beers made by Genesee Brewing (I felt VERY weird ordering, since Cream Ale is my only point of reference, but they were both excellent!) Lovely little stop!

The beer selection is absolutely perfect and rotates enough to keep interest. The service is completely on par with what you'd expect of some sort of elitism. If you're not a friend before you walk in the staff seems very unwelcoming. I still tip 30-50% because I've been in the industry for 20 years around the country but I gotta say, this is on par with what you'd expect from sort of upper class bar if you're coming in not looking like a college athlete or part of a golf club or some shit. I accidentally asked for a half pint of a beer that I didn't realize wasn't served as a half pint and apologized. I've been scowled at and seemed to have bothered every single bartender asking for a drink. I don't speak above anyone else, people order ahead of me, I'm in no rush. If the outdoor seating wasn't perfect I wouldn't ever come here. Here's the thing, I'll keep coming here and being treated like scum of the earth. I don't know if it's because how I look, maybe people typically tip more than 50%?, maybe I'm just not cool enough. Other than the staff being miserable, which I am really sorry for because that would suck to work in that mood, the clientele is great, beer is good, and again, seating outside is just perfect. But, staff is very unwelcoming to newcomers who might carry an other-than-normal aesthetic. I don't know. Come on in and enjoy it though. This is literally the only reason I got yelp though. It really bothered me the 4 times I've been here with a different bartender each time praying it was just one or two miserable... people.

If you're looking to grab a quick beer, this is a perfect spot for some good local drafts. They've got beer, not much else. Inside and outside seating available. We'll be back!

Totally cool pub in downtown Rochester. Yes, it's small and noisy, but hey, it's a Half Pint :) Seating outside when it's nice. Tons of beer on tap and friendly beer server. Loved it.

Half Pint is the best place to come for an after work drink and it seems that's usually the crowd they cater to most frequently. I just had the chance to check this place out (after work, of course) and I really enjoyed it. It's a cool place albeit very small. The inside has room for only a handful of people. Luckily they have a great outdoor area with lots of little tables and chairs set up. Prime Park Ave people watching. It's great during the summer when you can take your drinks out there and enjoy the weather but, I assume it could get quite cramped inside during the winter. I tried a tangerine beer they had on tap along with the Purple Haze (one of my tried and true favorites). Loved both choices and really appreciated that I could satisfy two cravings with only five bucks.

Looking good on a Friday night in December

This bar is so tiny it is better for drinking outside vs. inside. It is a good location for having a beer when the weather is nice - this corner is a great central spot on Park Ave to people watch. In past summers we have watched the Gay Pride Parade from here which is really good people watching! The beer selection is pretty decent and the service was prompt despite a pretty big crowd on a Friday night.

What a cool little place, and when I say little I mean that in the most literal sense possible. I came here later on a Wed evening, so it wasn't too crowded. The bar is tiny though, and I could see it getting pretty uncomfortable during busier times. They also have an outdoor seating area as well, but it fills up pretty quick. I was also a little surprised by the bathroom situation, as they only have one for all patrons (for a second I thought I had walked into the wrong one). Took a bit longer than expected to get a beer for the amount of people there, but the service was super friendly. Can't really see them as having the space back there for a 2nd bartender. I was a bit surprised by the prices, it was a lot less than I was expecting. The beer prices ranged from about $4.50-$5 for craft type draft beers. The cool thing about this place (and their namesake) is the fact that you can either get a full pint of one beer, or two half pints of different beers on the menu (both for the same price). It's a great way to try new beers. I highly recommend the Tangerine beer.. Yum! They do have food (kind of). It's not cooked onsite, but ordered from Mozzeronis which is right across the street. Typical bar and pizza place food. The bar is also dog friendly, which is an added bonus for some. Though, if super allergic this may not be the place for you.

Nice little, LITTLE spot, don't bring a crowd with you. No kitchen, but there are take out or delivery options across the street.

Ample space both upstairs and downstairs. + 2 of the 4 sours I had were decent. + Great for kiddos as they have an outdoor space that's family and dog friendly. It was very busy the day we went with a fun atmosphere outside. + Historic venue with a nice restoration for the brewery. The less great: + The setup means long waits. Having to wait in line for beers in a completely packed brewery with two bartenders is not a way to run a business. They need to consider a new strategy for ensuring they can accommodate the volume they are currently doing. + Had a bite of someone's burger and found it more or less inedible. + My parents had attempted to organize a large family gathering on the day we were there and while I wasn't involved in the planning, there seemed to be missteps and miscommunications along the way that weren't met with much empathy or customer service in mind. Too many great breweries in Rochester to waste time on spots that aren't going to ensure guest satisfaction. Great location though! This place is so, so busy it's obvious the east side isn't brewery saturated (somehow) quite yet.

The Detroit style pizza is phenomenal! Perfect crispy crust. I was there on a Friday but came back the next day to try the tomato pie as it was sold out on Friday. It was delicious! Think focaccia with tomato sauce and Parmesan cheese. So tasty! But what is brilliant is that of four pizzas, one rotates each week and changes. I had one of the rotating pizzas: pepperoni, banana peppers, garlic sauce, and honey. It bears repeating, wow! So great! The beers? There's something for everyone! So many hazy/New England IPAs and sours. Great seltzers too! The space is great with room for private parties. Such friendly staff. I hope to come back again before leaving!
