Loved this little bar. The service was not the only great thing about this place. The drinks were also top notch. We had a few drinks and all of them were delicious. The atmosphere was also fun and relaxed. The bartender was one of the best. He was attentive, talkative, gave great suggestions and even gave us a small shot to sample. Pourin Joy definitely caters to a younger crowd, and a lot of the customers are local regulars. Even though I'm neither of those, I still felt very comfortable coming in here for a couple of drinks. Everyone was friendly, staff and customers alike. They have a small selection of their own interesting crafted cocktails, beyond that, stick to the classics and you'll be fine here. There's a small back room with a couple of electronic dartboards. The rest rooms are very well maintained. There will be lots of animated conversation going on all over. The best way to describe the vibe of pourin joy was a house party. It's very small on the inside and people were making their own dance floor, despite the lack of room. There is limited seating. There's also a dart board in the back. The DJ the night I went had immaculate taste in music and definitely kept the vibe going. Came here once after a happy hour nearby, and we thought, "Where else can we get more good cocktails?" We'd run by this Park Avenue location a few times and had heard from some of our running friends, "Hey, I hear that place has good cocktails." That place was Pourin Joy. And we were not disappointed! It's small and cozy. The bartenders are nice. The cocktail menu is short enough so that you're not overwhelmed a la Cheesecake Factory, but long enough that there is at least one thing for every sector of your tongue. There is also a decent beer selection; some crafty, some blue collar. Went back again over the holidays for the ugly sweater contest. The cocktails were, as always, well crafted and delicious. The Mint'N Joys were one of the better-balanced holiday cocktails I've tasted. And the cheap-o Utica Club beers were the perfect palate cleanser. If you want a great cocktail at a bustling-but-snug little place on Park Avenue, you can do no better than Pourin Joy! Pro tip: get the loaded nachos. Possibly the best I've ever tasted. read more

I know this isn't really fair since I didn't actually get to go to this place, but I'm really upset about that. I wanted to go, to meet some friends, but I couldn't because there was no place to park. I drove around several blocks in every direction for like 20 minutes, and then ended up canceling on my friends and having to go home. Sorry but I don't really want to be walking farther than that through the city late at night in the rain. So that was really disappointing, and I know that's not really the fault of this place, but it kind of is just because of where it is. Now that's going to make me not want to go there again even though it looks like a really good. I really wish you the best, and I wish it was easier to get to, or you had your own parking lot. read more

I'm someone who doesn't like coffee or caffeine really but I had to go to pourin joy to see all the hype about their espresso martinis. lets just say I've been converted. i will definitely be back to try their other flavors and other specialty cocktails. Great bar with a cool vibe and an awesome staff. Really great thoughtful selection overall including a solid beer list. They had an inventive yet unpretentious cocktail list. I ordered a cosmo with a local cucumber vodka, which was perfectly balanced. My partner got their bourbon cocktail which was seasoned with allspice bitters. I also had to try their espresso martini which was one of the best I've had, great flavor and intense coffee notes enhanced with a hazelnut liquor. Their staff was also incredible and very attentive. Stumbled into this place as we were in town visiting family who lives in the neighborhood and wanted somewhere to watch the Penn State game and we saw the flag hanging outside. Man are we so happy we did! I'm not one to write reviews, but our experience here was so exceptional I feel this place deserves to be highlighted. Every person who works here that we encountered was so cool and SO kind. They played great music, the cocktails were excellent and high-quality for the price. Adam, whom I'm not sure is the owner or the manager, is a true class-act. He personally came up to us to chat and thank us for coming in. He gave us a round of drinks on the house and was just an all-around great person. In this day and age it feels so rare to be blown away by the level of hospitality experienced at a casual neighborhood bar, which is why we feel this place so greatly deserves a spotlight.
