    Hot and Sour soup

Found this place for a last minute lunch stop, when our planned lunch turned out to be closed for a private party. Glad we opted for this place, outstanding experience. Staff was great, very friendly and welcoming, and all orders came out efficiently. Food definitely showed care in preparation, not just in quality and taste, but also in the careful presentation. I opted for the Hot and Sour soup, which had a nice heat level, and a generous amount of ingredients. Tried to get a good picture, you could probably make a meal off the large size. Got the Spicy Ninja roll, was really tasty, with a superior blend of components to make the perfect bite. The nigiri sushi I got along with it, the Hamachi and Unagi, were very good, could probably make myself sick just eating endless plates of those. Hop Queen got Moo Goo Gai Pan, as they have a good Chinese selection to back up the sushi bar. That and her miso soup, with spring rolls, took care of her meals for the rest of the day. Ample parking out front, easy in and out (not all places in Georgetown are as accessible), Highly recommended!

We found ourselves in the area so I looked up and found this place for lunch because they had lunch specials where you can get two rolls for $11 or three for $15 with soup and good bento box offers. The rolls are more simple but we were wowed by the quality of the fish and the amount of sashimi in the role. Truly the perfect fish to rice ratio! The ambience is quiet and calm and the service was friendly. Good place for a quality, no frills sushi meal.

Good quality sushi, great services, good value. Quiet and cozy sushi shop with lots of parking. Great prices compared to other sushi in the area and no sacrifice for quality.

Think of a dive bar.... Hole in the wall taco shop... usually they're pretty good sometimes the best. Well, this place... definitely a dive and wasn't the best. The service sucked... attitude was like I owed her something (other than the payment) We had a couple rolls and some veggie tempura. It was horrible. Doughy uncooked and sear your tongue hot. The rolls were subpar looks like they have a great selection but it's the same thing over and over with a different type of fish.... Flavor was on a scale of 1-10... solid 3. Ambiance was like pretty much.... Dive bar quality .... Not a fave .... Sorry

First time here for all of us! Party of 3, Thursday at 7:15pm. Seated immediately. Service was friendly and fast. I really liked the cucumber salad, it was in a sweet vinegar sauce. The house salad with ginger dressing was fresh and had great flavor. I ordered the Philadelphia role and they added jalapeno and spicy mayo per my request! It was really good! Overall, I am really happy we happened to find this spot just down the road from my house. There is such a large selection of sushi as well as other menu items. I will be back again and again, especially for the cucumbers :)

Sushi is always delicious and service is always quick and great. Husband loves their Hot and Sour soup. They have kids meals for the kiddos.

Update: my sister and I have been back each Saturday since my review. The service just keeps getting better and the sushi is ALWAYS amazing!!!!!! I really didn't think I could find good sushi in Georgetown! I have! Don't miss out on this awesome place! It's in a strip mall and that almost guarantees great food! IYKYK!

We have dined here a dozen times - usually ordering the sushi rolls and nigiri, and it's been excellent every time!

It was real ok. The food was bland. It didn't taste authentic or very fresh. The rice was over cooked and mushy.

Great service and delicious food…read more We've only been a few times at this point, but I did want to share a few thoughts. First, the service is great. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted with the customary "Irasshaimase" (いらっしゃいませ). That was a blast from the past! The waiter immediately seated us and was attentive throughout the meal. When it became a little busier, his visits were a little more sparse, but he was always available with a wave of a hand. When I asked if they had Chilean sea bass, by chance, he said no and apologized. Then he went on to say that if we call in a week in advance, they could order some and prepare it for us. How cool is that? It isn't the only place I've had that offered, but it certainly is extremely rare and a good sign that they have a good relationship with their fishmongers. On both occasions, we were a bit flustered after being out all day doing errands and stuff. We were voracious but also a bit exhausted. LOL. So we opted to be measured and order just a few rolls between the two of us. While I don't remember the names of the rolls we tried on either occasion, I can say that they were delicious both times. One thing to note is that their rolls are a little rice-heavy. Not a problem if you're used to it. But it is a concern if you want a bit more protein, as you'll fill up faster! Wasabi looks and feels like a typical sushi joint. All in all, it is a great experience. Their menu has a nice selection and is a bit more quaint, and offers a quieter experience. We plan on visiting a few more times to try out a few more things unique to Wasabi and to see if the experience is consistent. Definitely recommend it if you're on it's side of town.

My overall experience was good but wasn't bad but just in the middle. Not the best sushi I've had…read morebut also not the worst, a few pros and cons. Cons: The rice is missing more vinegar, the rice is slightly hard in some grains and it's lacking flavor. It's decent sushi rice but to me it doesn't taste like sushi rice. The 3 rolls I ordered were smaller than I expected maybe because I've gone to soo many sushi restaurants and expected middle sized rolls with more avocado and imitation crab in the center. The salmon is very orange for some odd reason. Love the baked volcano roll, creamy at the end, warmer baked imitation on top. Pros: The fish is fresh, you can see the avocado, the white fish, the salmon, the tuna, and I will say the fish is fresh. If your that type of person that is going for quantity over quality, it's not that bad of an experience. To pay $17 for a buy one get one free, that is it's only saving grace. If it wasn't buy one get one free, the value to dollar would be off but luckily they offer that promo. So when I look at the price to value to quality and quantity, it's just in the middle. Not bad. Not good. Just Alright alright alright

It's SO clean. The decor is crisp, floral, calm, and inviting. Our server was FANTASTIC! She is a Mom of grown boys and was really excited to welcome us for a special graduate lunch that day. We ate miso soup, salads, sashimi, and a few specialty rolls. I'll say my belly tuna roll lacked something- maybe needed cucumber or something? This is going to be a very honest review…read more From the moment you walk in, it has a stench that kind of set me on the wrong foot from the jump, but I still wanted to give this restaurant the benefit of the doubt. As we were walking to our table, my feet were slipping as if there was grease on the floor in the front of the restaurant as well. It kind of made me feel like I was at a Jack in the Box at 2 AM. Our server was very kind and attentive; however, the place overall did not look very well kept together or clean. I would say, on a cleanliness scale, it was a 3 out of 10. I don't recommend this place. The food was truly not that good for the price at all. I ordered four dishes and four drinks, and my total was $77.33, not including a tip. My husband and I both agreed that if we would've gone to Panda Express, we would've enjoyed it more for half the price. If you would like to sit down and enjoy Chinese food in a restaurant, as this one is advertising, I'd highly recommend going to Hunan Lion in Round Rock, Texas. We recently moved from Round Rock to Jarrell, so we were trying to stay closer to home, but never again will I eat here.
