The staff was amazing, friendly and efficient. They have a gentleman going table to table explaining the meaning of the name and the history of the concept. Well for $20 I only got 3 pieces of dried brisket when I ordered moist and not lean, two fingers length of pork ribs dried of course and a dried up corn bread. A side of baked beans and small drink for $28.99. My wife wanted to eat teriyaki chicken from Panda Express and her food cost $10. I ordered a large meal for four people because we were playing cards over at my house Sunday afternoon. I picked it up at noon & brought the masterpiece meal home and it was fantastic. We had ribs, coleslaw, baked beans and cornbread. Everybody was saying how wonderful and tasty to food was. The pork baby back ribs fell off the bones. I'll be back many times. This is by far the best BBQ I have ever had!!!! The pulled pork combo has me sold on this great place!!!!! And the baked beans, YUM!!!! We were welcomed when we entered the restaurant and the nice girl came out from behind the counter & explained everything to us as it was our first, but NOT my last time going there!!! One special thing they did was at 12Noon they play the Star Spangled Banner and it made this 2 year Vietnam Veteran feel even more at home!!!!! The food was great. Had to wait and remind them of the French fries we were missing. When they brought the fries they included a banana pudding, which was ok. I informed the gentleman who brought the fries I thought one of the sauces was going bad, little bubbles in it. He said it was just made yesterday so he doubted it was bad and if it was shaken it would be ok. There was only about a quarter left in the bottle at lunchtime. He then put it back into the holder and walked away, leaving it on the table. I have 40 plus years in the culinary field and know what a tomato based product left out at room temperature will look like when it starts to go bad. Not sure if if ever got removed. read more

I don't know how anyone would have anything bad to say about this place!!! Everyone who works here is so incredibly nice and welcoming. We walked in clearly not knowing what to get and they walked us through the entire menu and encouraged us to try whatever we wanted. They'll let you sample before you order too. Wow, i have been waiting for this place to open and all i can say is wow! I've been around BBQ and i was thinking ok, another BBQ place. This (in my opinion) is THE best in the valley! Atmosphere is great. Staff were above and beyond friendly, from the counter to the table touches! Brisket, moist and fatty and smoky. No sauce needed. Turkey was just right! The ribs, oh man. Have you heard the saying fall off the bone. Yup! Cornbread was sweet and just the right amount of moisture. It was just missing some honey butter. Green beans had great flavor but a bit overcooked. The beans were soooo good and with the brisket they throw in made it even better. The mac and cheese was spot on. Sweet tea, yes please! I think i tried 5 sauces and they were all great. The meat was very good. The coleslaw was tasteless and very dry and the potato salad was not good. There was way too many onions and I love onions. I started trying to pull the onions out. The people there are accommodating and wonderful, all very helpful and lively. John in particular helped us out and they were clear in all explanations as well as just super easy to talk to. The ambiance of the building itself is lively and warm, with incredible smells as soon as you walk in, and nice seating. The fact that they acknowledge and show respect for our military in our veterans was a huge plus in my book. I was watching Mission being built in Paradise Valley and finally tried it. I have been back twice already. The brisket (moist/fatty) is fabulous. It is truly great tasting, moist and has a nice thick layer of bark. Their home cut fries are also excellent; super crisp and fried in fresh oil. The sauces are varied and very good. Their staff are also very friendly and always come out to greet you and ask if everything is ok. Highly recommend! read more
