Chopped brisket sandwich and coleslaw
Nick C.

Stopped in here in the weekend just before noon for a quick lunch. I got the chopped brisket sandwich and a side of coleslaw; both of which were delicious and made me want to come back again to try some of the other food. The service was some of the best and friendliest around the valley. Everyone was super nice and seemed to really care about each customer. It was also great to see all the respect and honor shown to service members and first responders. Was a little weird to have everyone stop and stand to sing the national anthem and noon, so that was a surprise and a little awkward.

When you first walk in you instantly smell the bbq! The restaurant was nice and clean. I like the photos and decor on the wall. I was greeted by a super friendly cashier, I placed a to go order and my food came out pretty quick. Customer service was 10/10 The food was great, the peach cobbler was sweet. I wish they offered a banana pudding as an alternative.

I love that they have the sauces on the table so you can go as light as you want or drench that meat lol. I had the brisket moist and it was good. My son and god daughter had the pulled chicken and said it was dry they dont care for BBQ sauce but like the juicy smoked meat. The bread pudding was good and they had plain brownies at the registers. Staff was super nice. Lots of seating and they are military supporters but dont give military discounts but the person at the register shook my friends hand and thanked her for her service. We thought that was nice but a discount would have been nicer. Plenty of shopping nearby. Prices were not great. Higher a la cart so a meal ends up being $20-$25 a person.

Nic was absolutely incredible for customer service. Food was amazing and free samples!!

This place has been my favorite place to eat since visiting AZ. Who doesn't like BBQ? It has a wide selection of food soft drinks and sides. Service was excellent and the ambiance inside is great. They have football on all the walls from navy football to firefighters and police men and women. The food was very tasty they give complementary small drinks to all children. Plenty of seating outside and inside. Everyone in the establishment was so nice and welcoming 10/10!

Pulled pork, potato salad and cornbread.

Service was friendly and responsive. They explained how things worked for us. I got pulled pork and potato salad. The plate comes with corn bread. I tried several sauces but the Smokey mountain was my favorite. Potato salad was excellent. They gave me a generous portion of pork I even took some home. My husband had pulled pork and classic sausage and baked beans. He said it was all excellent! His favorite sauce was the honey hot. Worth a try if you're craving BBQ. Very clean restaurant and extremely friendly employees.

Top notch service. I stopped in for meat to go and I wasn't thrilled with the way it was cut. No problem. They remade it for me with no fuss. I wish I lived closer. I probably said that in my original review!

Visited this place for the first time for lunch today. Conveniently located right on Cactus in Paradise Valley on the cusp of Scottsdale. Super clean entryway. Tons of ample parking. Tables and chairs were clean. Plenty of seating for you, your family and your closest friends. Walk in. Place your order. Fill your drink. Find a seat. Pop a squat. And chow down. I went with the brisket sandwich. You can order it lean - with all the fun, fat and flavor cut right off. Or you can order it moist - full of fun, fat and flavor. I opted for fun. The bun was fresh. The brisket was flavorful, tender and each bite made me full of glee. I opted for fries as my side They were a wee bit on the salty side for me but still full of flavor and nice 'n hot! Pricing was reasonable for what you get. Their claim to fame is there's no microwave nor freezer which would indicate everything is made fresh to order. Not quite sure how they're pulling that off with a smoked meat menu, but I'm not here to challenge their business model - just informing you of what they informed me. I'll definitely be back to try other meats. If you're looking for a smoked meat joint, give these peeps a try!

Mission BBQ New restaurant that opened up at the old Paradise Valley Mall along Cactus Rd. Wanted to see what Mission BBQ has to offer in BBQ. We ordered the Moist Brisket which seemed more like Lean Brisket, wanted that taste of a little bit more fat infused juicy brisket. Brisket was just a bit dry for Moist Brisket, added bbq sauce to help a little Sausage is always a favorite of mine so if you have good sausage, generally it comes from bits of your brisket, ribs or other meats to combine a good flavorful link. Their sausage was good to okay. Smoked Hawaiian Ribeye sounded like a winner but was on the dry side and a little tough. Baby back ribs were good, probably the best entree that we had tender and flavorful. Cornbread is another favorite of mind with BBQ and was delicious. I very much like what the restaurant stands for and their support of the military

Tried out this new BBQ spot in Paradise Valley with high hopes, but unfortunately it missed the mark. I ordered the sampler to get a feel for everything, and every meat on the plate was dry and served cold -- brisket, chicken, pulled pork, all of it. Not what you expect (or want) from fresh BBQ. On the upside, the sides were decent and came out hot, which was at least something. But when you go to a BBQ joint, the meat should be the star -- and here, it just wasn't. If you're looking for a spot with a similar vibe but much better execution, I'd recommend checking out The Thumb instead. Better flavor, better quality, and you actually leave satisfied. Here's hoping this place can work out the kinks, but as it stands, I won't be rushing back.

Turkey smoked
Brad W.

The smoked turkey sandwich was pretty good. It had 3 thick slices of turkey. There was no option to add onions or pickles and the bun was standard. The turkey didn't really distinguish itself, but was good. I tried two of the six sauces. Also its $6 to add a side and drink. The sides are tiny, so I passed. Sandwich was about $10 59.

It's called…read more"Mother Earth" and is one of their unique bowls with just the right variety of sweet, salty, tangy, and earthy flavors and textures from crunchy and chewy to creamy. There were ancient grains: quinoa, farro, and barley, and roasted sweet potatoes, portobello mushrooms, avocado, cucumber and greens, and pesto and hemp seed topping. A side of grilled tofu made for a tasty protein accompaniment, I enjoyed the complimentary infused with citrus water which refreshed me as did looking at their cheery lemon decorated wall. Ordering was easy at the counter and pleasant staff explained everything I had a question about and delivered my bowl to the table with cheeriness. My only suggestion would be that a small piece of special bread should be part of a salad or soup if requested as that would round out the meal.

The sides used to fill the bowl, but now there was nearly an inch of empty space around each side serving on a small bowl of an entree order. For what I paid, it was pretty shocking. The customer service was incredibly uncomfortable. The cashier acted like I was bothering him just by ordering, and barely acknowledged me. I would have been happy to tip, but I'm not going to lie, it crossed my mind that maybe the tiny portions were punishment for not tipping which obviously shouldn't be the case, but that's how the interaction left me feeling. What made it even stranger was that when the restaurant was slow, all of the employees were huddled behind one register chatting amongst themselves. I stood there waiting while they finished their conversation, and when they finally helped me, there was barely a smile or any friendly interaction. As a customer, it felt like I was inconveniencing them by being there. I spent $25 for one plate and a drink and left hungry and in a bad mood. I've enjoyed Flower Child in the past, but between the significantly smaller portions and the poor customer service, I don't think I'll be back. Only giving two stars vs one because the food is amazing!!! Just not enough with a bad attitude. Hope it gets better.

First, I have to give a huge shoutout to Teanna for the outstanding customer service! She was incredibly patient and walked me through all the different options, while also explaining exactly what açaí is and how 3Natives incorporates it into both their smoothies and açaí bowls. She made the whole experience so welcoming and easy, especially for a first-timer like me! I ended up getting both a smoothie and an açaí bowl because I was eager to try everything and wow, I was impressed by both! The smoothie was definitely on the sweeter side, but the açaí bowl was absolutely perfect. I don't have many other açaí bowls to compare it to, but I really enjoyed the balance of flavors and textures. The granola added such a lovely crunch, and you could tell the fruit was super fresh. Needless to say, my first açaí bowl experience was a success!

Let's talk food. I honestly get one thing every time. The PB and A açai bowl. It's full of: açai, homemade granola (that in itself is a winner!), natural peanut butter, sliced banana, and, diced strawberries. A perfect refreshing blend. Other's açai taste off. Indescribable. But here, it's fresh and delicious. I come here at least once a month after my massage for a perfect spa day treat. Or a healthier dessert option with the family. Kids love it!

We both ordered the Italian chopped sandwich, which looked too good to share. Fair warning, these sandwiches are MASSIVE. For me, there was actually a little too much filling, and I ended up taking some out to get a better balance. My wife, who's from the East Coast, absolutely loved hers, so it really comes down to preference. Definitely plan on leftovers! The restaurant itself is a fun, modern take on a classic deli. Checkered floors, a spacious layout, and some quirky decor give it plenty of personality. It doesn't quite have that cozy neighborhood deli feel, but it's almost like Scottsdale's interpretation of what a deli would look like if built from scratch today. What really stood out was the variety. Between the sandwiches, bagels, and desserts, there's plenty I'd like to come back and try. I could see this being a great weekday dinner spot or somewhere to meet coworkers for lunch. Four stars from me. Love having an alternative to the usual chain sandwich shops in the area, and I'm already looking forward to trying something different next time!

I'm a pretty picky eater and only allow myself one cheat meal a week, so choosing where to spend it is a serious decision. MELT happened to be open, and Chloe convinced me to give the chicken a shot. I'm glad I listened because it was genuinely really good! My only suggestion would be swapping the canola oil for olive oil, but other than that, no complaints. Now, the REAL winner was the chocolate chip cookie. Absolutely insane. Perfectly cooked, super chocolatey, and easily the highlight of the meal. I personally would've liked a little more dough, but that's just me. My only complaint? $5 for ONE cookie is a little wild when McDonald's will give you practically ten for the same price. The ice cream was just alright, nothing I'd go out of my way for. But here's what really earned this place five stars: Chloe. As the chef manager, she delivered some of the best customer service I've experienced in a while. Genuine personality, incredible charisma, and absolutely none of that forced, fake customer service energy. I asked a ridiculous number of questions, and she never once seemed annoyed or impatient. She actually took the time to help me figure out what I'd enjoy. You can have great food anywhere, but it's the people who make you want to come back. Chloe absolutely nailed that. I'll definitely be returning to try some different menu items, and she's a huge reason why. Give that woman a raise!

Compared to other similar restaurants, we really like the food options, the quality of ingredients, and the promotions though the prices are more than the other places we used to frequent. MAD Greens offers salads, grain bowls, wraps, Mac & Cheese bowls, and more. My wife and I both enjoy the create-your-own salad which includes your choice in greens (and/or pasta), protein, four toppings, and salad dressing. My favorite is pasta and mixed greens with grilled chicken, egg, parmesan cheese, corn, Craisins, and balsamic vinaigrette. I have also had wraps, Mac & Cheese, and prepared salads in the past. We have also ordered MAD Greens through the app/website and also through Uber Eats in the past. We were disappointed that the option to order pasta as a base with the greens was removed from online ordering though the restaurants themselves still honor this as an option. We still find that using the app is beneficial when using the rewards program as you earn $10 credits for every 100 points earned (1 point per dollar spent) plus you get a $5 credit for your first purchase after joining the program. MAD Greens regularly has different promotions and even sends out Buy One Get One Free or 10% off coupons tied to your reward account. There is also typically a Buy One Get One Free coupon sent out for your birthday (or half-birthday). They have a current challenge/promotion where if you make three purchases by late January, you get a free meal. They also had a great Black Friday gift card promotion of a free $10 eCard for every $25 gift card purchased. That means if you buy $100 of gift cards, you will get $40 in bonus gift cards. Amazing!
