Chicken Philly
Brad W.

Had not been back in 3 years, but apparently got another Philly, except this one had chicken. The chicken turned iutvti be ground chicken which was weird and the cheese was melted over the lettuce, not the chicken. This sandwich needs work.

This is a good Korean Sandwich shop. A unique fusion of Korean food and an American Deli. I had the potstickers and the 12 inch bulgogi beef sandwich. It was good, although I wish the sandwich had had more kick to it like with some Gochujang chili paste and some kimchi. The portions are very large and generous. There's plenty of beef in the sandwich, which is nice. But it is expensive so be ready for that. The potstickers were good along with the dipping sauce. The service was very fast and the owner was very friendly. This is a small family business so it nice to see that have good business coming through here. The ambience the place is very casual much like any other deli. Overall I give it a 4 out of 5. I found the sandwich to be lacking serious flavor especially considering that this is Korean Deli, it could have used a serious kick and some umami flavor as well kimchi.

Ambiance: A small hole in the wall deli. Great for a quick meal. Cleanliness: There could be an opportunity to increase cleanliness. Taste: So good! I loved my bulgogi bowl. I was craving something lighter and fresh. The bowl was perfect! Service: We had the opportunity to meet the owner. He was so kind and gave us some complimentary potstickers. Overall: Looking forward to my next visit and trying something different. Wishing this small business much success.

Best way to describe these sandwiches: creative, simple and satisfying. These sandwiches were so fresh and tasty, and oddly light. My husband and I shared the Spicy Pork and the Bulgoki, both were delish, flavors complimented each other and my husband and I didn't feel heavy after the meals. Something I appreciated from this location is Al the different flavored sandwiches! So much culture and so much to try, I'm eager to go back, and that's when I know it was a perfect lunch and worth five stars! I feel like I have a lineup / queue already set for my next few visits. Yup I'm a fan!

Bulgogi on wheat

To get the full experience, get a sandwich on real bread, not a wrap. Unassuming storefront, but great food with a nice patio out front to enjoy the weather. Lunch here yesterday for 4. I got the Bulgogi sandwich, and everyone else got a wrap. I was ecstatic about my lunch, my companions though it was good but not great. The buns are really good, so if you get a wrap it might be more difficult to appreciate the food. The bulgogi was good, but I thought it could have used a little more garlic punch. Fast casual place - order at the counter and they bring your food out to your table. The proprietor seemed really nice, and was very helpful with our selections. The cookie was a nice touch - really good! I'd love to come back and try a few other things on their menu.

I'm always up for trying a Korean restaurant I've never been to! Met here with my boba (and now…read morekimchi) sistah for lunch and had a delightful time. I really wanted something with their house made tofu in it, and the oyster soft tofu soup sounded just right for me. It was a bubbling hot concoction served with a bowl of mixed purple and white rice with bits of squash mixed in. The soup was so good! It had a good amount of oyster and the broth was spot on. The tofu was just the right consistency for the soup and tasted great. You can request your spice level and the medium was just right for me. The rice was also really good and well prepared. The banchan we had for lunch were kimchi, marinated cucumber, seaweed, fish cake, and pickled cabbage and beet. The restaurant itself is spacious and we had our pick of seats. The walls in between tables are high enough to allow for privacy. Service was good and we were checked on as needed. I couldn't finish the meal so I took the rest of the soup and rice to go. The kiddo tried the tofu and now also wants to go here which I will happily arrange for our next family outing!

I figured if in the area, try to find somewhere to satisfy my bibimbap fix (when in Mesa's Asian District). What I Ordered: - Dr. Pepper - B1. 소불고기 돌솥: Beef Bulgogi Bibimbap: This was pretty good, though I've had better as the bulgogi wasn't standout. Still a decent dish, and happily took the leftovers with some banchan. Loved the Oi Muchim! Always find it odd to be the only one dining, but I did arrive as they opened. I noticed they have rows of seating, and really loved the tables. They have a drawer that you pull out for napkins and utensils. My server was friendly, and my food was out within 10 minutes of ordering! As I ate my dish, a couple more tables would arrive. Overall, a solid lunch and great for the price point.

We came on a weekday afternoon, so it wasn't busy when we arrived. We got seated within the 10 minutes since they were setting up the tables for us. Ordering is fairly easy since they offer combos depending which meats you like more. Everything we ordered was good quality. My favorite meat cuts were the beef tongue, brisket and the intestines. If you're not into eating inside parts of animals, I would recommend getting the brisket or kalbi cuts. The Banchan (sides) were good too. They had fish cake, kimchi, pickled radish and cucumbers available. We also tried the tofu soup, steamed egg and corn cheese which all came out hot and tasted flavorful. This spot is a-la-carte, so you order off the menu and pay by items. My only downside is that they didn't have rice paper here since I don't really eat the white rice since it fills me up too quickly. Other than that, I would come back here again next time I'm visiting family. Service here was awesome too! We were checked on throughout our whole meal and the servers were friendly.

This visit was Oct 7, 2026 and Hodori was exactly as I remembered which means terrific food, great service, and good atmosphere. You can tell a great Asian restaurant by the amount of Asians there -- Asians know good food! I was there for a weekday lunch at 11:30 and the place had about 40 diners, of which 37.5 were Asians. I'm half Asian, so there were two other non-Asians. The waitstaff were all Asians and they spoke a variety of Asian languages. One spoke Korean to a diner and another spoke Chinese. That is awesome even though I'm sure all the diners are able to speak English -- it adds to the Asian restaurant ambience. I had the pork bulgogi dinner, which honestly, is the only thing I have ever ordered since it is super yummy. Their cabbage kimchi is soooooo good. I used to buy a jar of it to take home, yet I don't know if they still do that. I ate almost everything, minus some small side dish that was some sort of fish tasting thing, probably tofu in fish sauce. I don't like fish. A lot of food and I enjoyed it! BTW a little tip. When you take a photo of your food, do not put your metal chopsticks on the sizzling hot metal plate, OUCH! You would think I would have known NOT to do that.

Any waiter that hears the bell comes to your table to assist. The response never took longer than 20 seconds most of the time. To start the appetizer tray at the beginning is an awesome touch that I'm not used to in other places I have tried. It kind of took the guess work out of ordering in my opinion so I only had to focus on what meat or dish I wanted since my sides were already selected and refillable for free through the course of the meal. We ordered the seafood sundubu, beef bulgogi, and sweat and spicy korean fried chicken wings. The portion size was very generous on the wings and on the crispier side which my wife prefers. The seafood sundubu was delicious and was pleasantly surprised to see a decent amount of tofu and seafood types in the dish. The beef bulgogi was also tasty and as I said before just scratched that korean food craving that we had. This has been added to our rotation of date night locations for us! So many things looked so good on the menu. I also let the server know that I was hungry too lol! They were quick bringing out the food. I belive Dhillon was our server and he was great too. He helped us narrow down our choices. My friend and I shared the coconut chicken curry pot which was flavorful and had a great balance of meat, noodles, etc. Dhillon suggested sharing it as it was a good size and I'm glad we did. We also shared the tofu salad which was nice and flavorful and also the sweet potato rolls and green tea cheese cake. The only suggestion I would make is maybe putting a small bit of vanilla ice cream with the cheesecake instead of whip cream. My friend and I both thought that combo would hit the spot. We were a party of 12 visiting on vacation, and none of us are from the area. We ordered spam musubi and a chicken skewer as appetizers. Both appetizers arrived well after our entrees had already been served and we had essentially finished eating. Each time we asked about them, we were repeatedly told, "They're coming." Mind you, these are simple appetizers that should not take anywhere near that long to prepare. When we asked for the third time, we finally asked that the appetizers be cancelled since we had already finished our meal. At that point, the gentleman working the front area , tall, with red hair, loudly yelled from across the restaurant, in an extremely rude and confrontational tone, "It's already on the grill!" There was absolutely no reason to speak to paying customers that way. His response was unprofessional, unnecessary, and honestly created a very hostile and uncomfortable feeling during what should have been an enjoyable dinner, especially while our group was on vacation and simply trying to enjoy a meal together. When the appetizers eventually came out, we left them sitting there because we were already done eating and ended up taking them to go. He eventually told us they would be removed from the bill, which we appreciated, but that did not excuse the way the situation was handled. Again, the food was good, but good food does not make up for poor service and especially not for an employee speaking to customers in an aggressive and disrespectful manner. Management should seriously address how customers are treated, because the interaction with this particular employee overshadowed what could have otherwise been a good dining experience for our party of 12.
