I love the food and the atmosphere at these restaurants and have visited a few of them in other states. As a vet and a current first responder I appreciate this salute to those who protect the country, states, towns and people of the country. The food is amazing with the brisket as my personal favorite. I have to say though, if they were out of brisket I wouldn't be too sad due to everything else being so good. It is normally hard to choose so thank goodness for the three meat combo tray. If you like bar-b-que (with a good deep smoke) then this is definitely a place worth checking out. Mission BBQ did not disappoint. Everything on the menu looked great. My boyfriend and I ordered the brisket and baby back ribs. Both were incredibly tender and flavorful! We made it an XXL combo - the Mac and cheese and beans were good too. Each table had a selection of 6 different bbq sauces for your meat. All of them were unique and tasty. There's definitely something for everyone to enjoy from the options, whether it's tangy, thick or mild. The theme is very well orchestrated throughout the entire restaurant - super veteran and military friendly. Everything about the decor was on par with the theme. I'm not impressed.. I feel like this place is way too hyped up to serve lackluster dry meats and over salted fries. Maybe our trip was an off day for them, but it was a weekend. The fries were inedible as they were extremely over salted. My children wouldn't even eat them which is unheard of as they've never meat a French fry they won't scarf down. The ribs came right off the bone which is awesome but the meat that came off was very, very dry. The corn bread crumbled immediately upon picking it up and didn't have a pleasant taste to it. They had a ton of sauces to choose from which was exciting and perfect for different taste palettes. I personally didn't like any of the sauces, but my husband liked a few of them. I'd be willing to try again, but it will be a while until they get their kinks worked out.. because it's too expensive to get crappy food. read more

Brand new spot in Dover. Great, friendly service. Limited menu but good options. They do have fish for the non meat lover. Flavors are a bit bland but they have plenty of sauces for you to flavor it to your liking. Corn bread is delish. read more

OK, I'm going to be "that guy"... Great barbecue, but I'm only giving 3 stars because of the overzealous "patriotism" in this place. I was in here with co-workers for lunch. We arrived around 11:45 or so, ordered and got our food. As we were sitting and eating, at noon, an announcement was made to stand and honor America with the playing of the national anthem. Everyone in the place stood, some awkwardly, some confused, and some gung-ho. I was one of the awkward ones. Now don't get me wrong... I love America, but I just wanted to eat my lunch, not participate in some uber-patriotic ritual that makes some people that didn't serve feel better about themselves. *side note* Funny that a place like this DOESN'T offer a military discount* I'm not impressed. It all seemed kind of like a phony gimmick to me. I don't think I'll be back anytime soon, at least not during lunch, which is a shame because the food is awesome. Food was good. They use a dry rub so the sauces are on the table to use at your discretion. 2 of us ate for roughly $20 with drinks. You can order just a sandwich or you can order a combo with a number of sides. Just depends how hungry you are. The food was fresh and I had the mac and cheese. The sandwiches come with lots of meat. Easily enough for 2 sandwiches. I don't eat bread so I enjoyed just the pulled chicken. My partner had the pulled pork and liked his. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures until we were about done. So I did take pics of the sauces and the dining room. We would stop again! read more

This place is an exception to the rule for chain restaurants. The food is very good and is available shortly after you order it at the counter. You pick it up and take your order to your table. We had the pulled chicken, pulled pork, smoked turkey and brisket. All were very good, but next time I'd order the "moist " brisket. There are six different sauces available at each table. Omg finally found a bbq place that's good in the south. Pulled pork is off the hook , mac and cheese , cheesy potatoes, and the cheese jalapeno sausage are amazing. OH dont forget the corn bread....off the hook. The only thing wish they would have the cheesey potatoes all year round but it's a fall thing. The best thing about them they recognize our military ....it feels do good to go in there and see how its decorated and military sitting there eating. This is the best BBQ spot for fast food. I'm not sure if it's considered fast food but I've never waited more than 4 minutes for my order and I've waited longer at McDonalds for a sweet tea! The food is always good and I've tried just about every meat on the menu! Now I will say the sides aren't my favorite. I'm a souther girl and I think the sides have a bit of a mid-western kick to them. However, those desserts are better than a lot of sit down family restaurants!
