It's July 4th and we need a quick meal to go. Why not try a deli. Glasgow did provide exactly what we needed. I ordered a Ham and Swiss with lettuce and mayo, came with a pickle. SO had a special roast beef hoagie off the menu. The menu board showed so many options, chips were a plenty from different companies. There are no "hard rolls" down here, you need to ask for Kaiser rolls. I do love the area differences. (I think we're in hoagie not sub territory.) Finally, I found legal parking to watch the fireworks. Got a spot on the beach and enjoyed my sammy. They made a very good sandwich with plenty of everything in one bun. My only complaint (and it's not just this deli) is that the ingredients do not hit the whole roll. It's generally right smack in the middle leaving nothing on the side. Side pickle was good. Glasgow deli is absolutely the worst place you could order anything from times may be hard but to be taking people's money and not giving them what they ordered is totally wrong. So if you're looking for good quality food, I would not try this place. Try Wawa you can't go wrong. You would just be wasting your money here. Just happened onto this place driving down the street. I got a Philly cheesesteak sammie and thought it was pretty great. So, hub takes a small bite. Then, he orders one. He's Philly boy, so, he's got the experience to judge fairly. If he says it's worthy, it is! They offer a wide variety of menu items and have a great chip and drink selection. I have been to this restaurant multiple times over the last few weeks for lunch. I can honestly say that I haven't had a bad meal. The subs are on point and taste great! I had the Philly cheesesteak smothered in onions, peppers, and mushrooms and it was fantastic! Some of my friends also ordered French fries and they were seasoned with old bay. They told me that they were also really good. I will continue to stop into this location and grab my lunch! The staff is friendly and helpful and truly seem to care about getting the order right and making sure you have a great experience. This should be a 4.5. The place makes good cheesesteaks. The big issue was having enough cheese. I had mine with Swiss instead of American, as AMERICAN IS NOT CHEESE!!! That being said, it was hard to tell that there was cheese on the sandwich. But it was very tasty. The bacon/broccoli bites (picture attached) weer also very nice. The place itself is very no-frills and the crowd skewed very old-white people. Definitely will return! read more

As a New Jerseyan, this place does not look or feel like any deli I've ever been in. I was there on a Friday evening, and although it didn't look super busy, they must have had lots of pick up orders. Usually delis (at least in NJ) are fast. My order, a Bugs Bunny sandwich, took a long time. I took it back to the Airbnb where I was staying. It.was.delicious! Not happy about the wait but really loved this wrap. Ingredients looked and tasted fresh, and dressing was sooo good! A tad watery but good. I would definitely recommend this deli but I would suggest ordering ahead. read more

I havent had Glasgow until 2020. My boyfriend & I have been searching out for good cheesesteak in Delaware. If I can be honest, thats a very hard thing to do. Let me tell you though, Glasgow is at the top of my small list. I've only done the cheesesteaks & fries, my mother gets the Sandra C (turkey with gravy). This is a really great deli! Most deli's do not have variety. They normally have sandwiches and chip. This place has everything from Full breakfast platters, breakfast sandwiches, lunch specials to dinner and desert! It doesn't seem like it has a dining area and restroom areas, but they do. If you are traveling, this is a great location to make a stop, have breakfast, lunch or what have you. This is the place for you. The food is fresh and I have not ever had a bad order. I really like stopping in for breakfast. As pictured, in today's visit I ordered a large Italian Hoagie for myself and hubby to share. It was made to perfection and made quickly. Best sub I've ever had. Ever went to a chain sub place & felt like you got ripped off on the amount of meat in your sub? You won't feel that way here!! My boyfriend got the chicken Philly & I got a roast beef. Both had loads of meat and toppings. Definitely the place to go in Dover. read more

This was our first trip. Recommended from a friend and it did not disappoint. It's a mom and pop shop but the customer service was superb! Excellent quality meats. My Italian sandwich was perfect and they didn't cringe when I un-Italianed it to have it made to my specifications. Haha. Fountain soda drink prices are the best I've seen in Delaware.. odd but true. Fried pickles! I was so excited to find a place in DE that has them, that isn't a more expensive steakhouse. They were great, had a little of a kick to them as well. Ate here recently for the first time in years. I use to order the cheesesteaks, which from my memory as great. However my husband and I ordered hoagies this time and they were as dry as can be. We even ordered with mayo and oil and they didn't add it to our food. The customer service was good, the people were nice. The food on the other hand was terrible. My husbands cheesesteak was cold, the cheese was not melted. I ordered a grilled cheese and a tossed salad. My salad container came with a pet spider attached, glad I wasn't charged extra for him. We named him Deli... Anyways, with my tossed salad for an up charge I added a hard boiled egg. My egg came with free little black hairs and so did my cheese! Disappointed my grilled cheese did not come with anything extra. I did not voice all of my issues to the staff. I sure they would have replaced my food, I just don't like being "that guy".
