Delis seem to be few and far between in Delaware so having Glasgow Deli on my way home is a great convenience for someone who loves sandwiches. There is a large seating area inside where they will bring you your food after you order at the counter if you want. If you order to go, you'll get your food even faster I feel. The prices are pretty fair for the quality and quantity that you receive so you won't feel ripped off. The chicken salad and cheese steaks are some of our favorite things to order. They even make a good cheeseburger if our 2 year old eating the whole thing means anything to you. There is also a great drink and chip selection if you're picky about getting certain brands. Decided to try this place while I was in town based on prior reviews, and boy was it good. I got the Reuben sandwich and some fries with a fruit punch and not only was everything delicious, but inexpensive as well. I've eaten here before and have to say this is the worst food I've had from here. I ordered a specialty chicken cheesesteak and it was more roll than meat and it was dry. So, needless to say, it was not all eaten and they brought the wrong type of pie. I used to recommend them but can't in good conscience anymore. read more

**Update. The owner contacted me to resolve the issue. She's great! Happy that I can continue to order from here because the food is great (: Was a faithful customer here for a while up until today. I bit into a crunchy breakfast sandwich filled with eggshells. No big deal,right? I called to tell them and they were willing to give me a credit. I asked for delivery being as though I would still be hungry I clearly asked "would delivery be a while because I have home fries and don't want them to be super cold, or could you bring me more of those as well?". The woman stated they would the sandwich right out to me... 35 minutes later I'm still waiting at the drop off location & they keep putting me on hold to tell me the driver is there. Problem is I'm there and there is no driver there... 40 minutes later she finally arrives and at this point my homefries are FREEZING & it's lunch time. They do not value their customers! I'm sure if they did I would of had a hot home fries in the bag along with the sandwich. Or even an apology for the long wait & unsatisfied order. BUYER BEWARE!!! I placed a order over the phone with them on Saturday 6/2/18, mind you i order about twice once a month from them to the SAME address for about a year now, and all of a sudden they couldn't "find" my house, i gave them i address 2 times and they "tried" coming twice but still couldn't "find" my house. so of course i wanted a refund, and i was told to call back multiple times. after giving my credit card number a total of 4 times, i though i was getting a refund. NOPE and of course they are closed on Sunday. so i called Monday 6/4/18 @1:07pm and a RUDE lady (said she was the manager) HUNG UP ON ME because she said she couldn't help me until after 2:00pm. So, i went up there, she again said there is nothing they can do, and REFUSED to give me her name because she said "i do not have to" and i was being "rude" even though i waited for her to come from the back over 15 minuets because she know she was wrong when she hung up on me. i wasnt being rude i was giving her my call back information, along with the amount of the sale and that is when she hung up on me. so i will never go there again. read more

It's hard to find a good vegetarian sandwich in a sea of fast food, but this place totally hit the spot. They were really accommodating and made ordering a meatless sandwich easy. I ordered a chicken cheese steak with French fries. The cashier gave me bad vibes, she didn't know answers to my questions. She really didn't represent the company very well. As a first time customer that really didn't give a good impression. The delivery time wasn't bad at all , came at a good time. Great sandwiches at a reasonable price. They offer multiple types of bagels for the breakfast sandwiches. The menu has a good selection with portions while not obnoxious are generous. The place is usually steady with regulars and the wait can sometimes be a little long but this is the closest thing to a deli i have found in Delaware so it is worth the wait. read more

We have been going here for years but over the past year things have changed. They skimp on the subs and just not what they used to be. Staff was nice but the owner is less than to be desired. I think she has lost her way. Of course they were extremely busy the last night I went in which I understand but no excuse for the owner to be rude when I spoke to her with a complaint. I think she would greatly benefit from business management classes and an organizational class too! Her store has gone on the downside. It's apparent that she is overworked and understaffed and there is a major issue with orders being placed and where the tickets go. Long story short, just lost a couple of long time customers to being rude. Be prepared if you call in an order to wait an hour. Probably better to go in a place one so your ticket is bumped ahead of someone who called in 20 - 30 minutes ago! I only gave a one star because it forced me to give one. read more

I grew up in a small town just 35 miles northwest of Philly until I was 12 years old, then my family moved to the Mideast, then I moved to Los Angeles. One of things I missed was a good ol' fashion Italian hoagie. As far as I can remember, I haven't had a good tasting hoagie since I've moved away at 12 yrs old...until now. Sure I've had Jersey Mikes sub but it just wasn't quite the same; something was missing. I saw a good review about this deli so I decided to take a chance. It's a simple nothing fancy venue, nice open space, and clean. A sweet friendly girl greeted me asking what I wanted. I said to her that I'm wanting a really good tasting Italian hoagie that I've not had for a long time. She mentioned that their customers really like their Italian hoagie. I asked her, "but is it as good as a hoagie from Philly?" She said "better", with a sure smile that convinced me to order one. I also bought a Tasty Kake, which I also haven't had one since I was 12 years old. I told her that it's so much tastier if you place it in the freezer on a hot summer day before you eat one. After she bagged my hoagie and handed it to me, she invited me to come back and try the other items in the menu. I told her if this hoagie is good, I will be back. The price for their large hoagie is at a very fair price, only $8 for their large. The smell of the hoagie sandwich lured into my hotel room. I took a large bit as my teeth sank into the texture of the sandwich. It could use a bit more lettuce and tomatoes, but overall, it was a good,...let me reiterate that, it was very good. Perhaps one of the best Italian hoagie that I've had. The rich meaty flavors salivated my tastebuds. The quality of the meat was superb. The texture of the bread is also good, it wasn't dry, has a slight chewy texture (the way a good tasting bread should be) I don't need to inform the folks that live here, but if you're from out of town and wanting a very good tasting hoagie, I definitely recommend going to Glasgow Deli.
