I had a very enjoyable meal. The staff was fantastic, especially the guy working the register and the young lady expiring the meal. The food was very good and I highly recommend this location. read more

Food is excellent and everyone is so friendly! I would recommend this place ! I've been there 3 times and never disappointed

Not the best service and if your vegan it's not the best idea but they do have good food and I love the homemade sauces they have.

Consistently good. Awesome staff. The restaurant is clean and organized. That means a lot to us. The manager almost always stops at the table to check on our food and service! Friendly staff and always a good meal! read more

Great food. Generous portions. If you're going to reheat the fries, use an air fryer!

Decent choice for bbq. Food was prepared well and had good flavor. Tried a little bit of a few things; ribs, pulled pork, brisket, collard greens, mac & cheese, corn bread. Staff was very friendly and take out order was prepared quickly and packed well. Would definitely recommend. read more

Great place to dine! I love any business that supports our military active and vets! They do so much for our military! The food is never disappointing! Love this place! One of my favs here in Dover!! read more

Always delicious, affordable and fast. I love all of the different sauces, the sweet tea and the atmosphere.

Had heard great things so I went out of my way to stop, and was definitely impressed! This place is a super casual, laid back joint with no table service. You order, pick your own seat, then wait for your name to be called. Worth the money for food quality and portions. Will be returning without a doubt, both my boyfriend and I had zero complaints. Not sure if the BBQ sauce is made fresh on location or not, but the variety is great and the sauces have good flavors. Sort of like a Boston Market, but more delicious, as well as authentic. They support our troops as well, which is always a positive. Worth the try and money if you have never been! read more

Mission BBQ - Pulled chicken sandwich with fries and Mac and cheese - Barbeque Near Me - Dover, Delaware

Have been here a few dozen times so far, so my review is for total experiences so far. Love this place and it's great for lunch when I'm working in the area. The food has never been disappointing, cornbread a favorite and the sauces add the perfect touch and top it off with a military discount you can't go wrong! read more

Nice environment for the Armed Forces, the salmon was great and the cornbread. Mac and cheese needs work but overall a great place for barbecue. Try their signature sauces! July 20th, 2018 Came back the staff is so courteous! My sausage was a little cold they had no problem replacing it and gave me a free banana pudding! I love this place it's definitely my go to read more

What a great restaurant! Everyone was so polite and thanked both me and my husband for our service. The manager came out to check on us and our meal was on the house due to not having what we had initially come out for. We just arrived to Delaware and they gave us a great first impression indeed. We ended up ordering a three meat plate with baked beans and Mac and cheese. The food was amazing. As good as the actual meal was I must really say that I was overly impressed by the service we received from all of the employees. We will def be returning read more

Good portions and fast service. I had ribs and there were really salty. I was able to lower the saltiness with one of their sweet sauces. Their sauces at the table are really good. The corn bread had a good flavor, but was cold. Servers were very nice and helpful! read more

Nice place for a quick takeout meal. I haven't eaten in as of yet but the takeouts are pretty good.

I came expecting a sandwich but all they serve the meat. It little spicy even the 6 kinds bbq sauces. The music is country which i hate. The corn bread taste great which have corn in it. They cut the bread is not even. read more

Great BBQ (and plenty of meat options)! Great side choices! Great (and friendly) service! What more could you ask for? Just one thing.....please open a restaurant in New Castle County ASAP! read more

First time visiting this establishment. I had the bbq pulled chicken with the mac and cheese. AMAZING!!! I liked how the tables have the sauces , I can not say enough about the food. The staff is amazingly friendly and greeted us with a smile. I also love that this establishment is color friendly. Great for bikers looking for a great meal at a great price. Will definitely visit the Dover location again. read more

Tasty. I like the flare and spice that Mission Bbq puts into its meats the drawback of that is maybe the meats are over seasoned. That being said, the sides except the potatoe salad and fries that we had made up for it (namely the baked beans and mac and cheese ). Hmm.. a lot of the sauces that they had packed that heat which added diversity to each bite, most notably the Texas twang or was it the Bay Bq, you decide. All in all, a good quick bite that I couldn't finish. Let's not forget the noon singing of the national anthem which bought me back to my service days. read more

Amazing in every way. blows where pigs fly and meat mechanics away. The pricing may seem high to some but you get a good amount of food to make it worth it. plus it's all amazing. The only thing I had from here that sucked is the cornbread. nice and sweet but too dry for me. Not a big fan of the pulled chicken here either but it's not the worst i've had. Brisket, turkey, and mac and cheese might be my top 3 favorite things from the menu although I haven't tried everything yet still. Just go! read more

First time eating at this location. As expected- great service, perfectly cooked brisket and all the different bbq sauces top go with.

Love coming here! Mission BBQ also catered my wedding and we received SO many positive reviews. They are reasonably priced and always leave a smile on my face. read more

Fantastic food and service. Actually went back for seconds to take home for another meal! Plus the outside is dog friendly! They gave the dog a water bowl and all. read more

Always excellent! Staff is kind and helpful, product is amazing & restaurant is clean & inviting

The mission has failed. My brisket, cut to order, was so dry I did not eat it. We took it home to the dog. The Cole slaw had no flavor. My husband's brisket was a little more juicy but still not a good quality sandwich. We typically do not dine at fast food franchise places but decided to give this one a try. So for us it's back to Where Pigs Fly, have never had a bad meal there and it's always flavorful. read more

We had ribs which were fall off the bone delicious. Yard bird chicken, very moist. Mac and cheese. Baked beans and cold slaw. Everything was delicious. Counter service was to notch. Plenty of seating. read more

My wife and I have drove past Mission BBQ several times and talked about stopping but never did. Well, today after realizing that our normal lunch spot wasn't open, we decided to stop and give it a try. Let me tell you...this place didn't disappoint! Staff was polite and cheery, atmosphere was great with military and local first responders memorabilia on the walls, and the food...amazing! My wife got the pulled pork sandwich combo (one side and a drink for an extra $3) and I got the beef brisket sandwich. We got both as combos as well as paid a little extra for a donation for a plastic first responders cup for only $25. A small price to pay for great BBQ. I highly recommend trying it out! read more

These people don't mess around . They're customer friendly , knowledgeable, and the foods not bad . The place is immaculate. Easily a 5 star

Pulled pork and brisket were excellent! Great choice of BBQ sauces to enjoy. Will definitely go back and pray they open a location in the Lewes/Rehoboth Beach area! read more

The food was amazing and the service was fantastic. When I walked in I felt so welcomed by all the staff. There was one girl who was so nice and great personality. I WOULD COME BACK. 5 STARS read more

As a Charlestonian, I'm not impressed. But I'm happy to see a BBQ option like this in Dover (but it doesn't top the authenticity of Where Pigs Fly). Not a fan of the a-la-carte menu. Very expensive this way. The fries and dipping sauce were good. But the Pulled Pork was DRY. It wasn't nearly juicy or tender enough. I realize the concept at Mission BBQ is sauce-your-own (and there were great sauce options), but the sauce shouldn't have to compensate for the dryness. I really couldn't get past that. The staff here is friendly and attentive - our trays were taken and we were given information and tips about each sauce. Would maybe visit again if in the area, but it would not be my first choice. read more

Stopped in there after wrestling practice to have a decent but speedy meal with my bf. shew what an amazing experience! The staff were friendly and seemed happy while working hard. The best BBQ around and me being from the Carolinas, that's a huge deal! We will be back and cant wait to get more cheesy potatoes! Amazing to see such a clean environment with friendly staff who care about their jobs. It was even more amazing to see the young staff come together and purchase a meal for a homeless man who came in to get warm and get a beverage. That is something you don't see much in this day and age. Mission BBQ should be proud of their staff and hope to see more Mission BBQ locations through out the state :) read more

Oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy my go to BBQ fix..... this place is off the hook....... I am like a kid at Christmas when I know I am gonna be near there around eating time....... the food just melts in your mouth!!!! The big plus for me... choosing your own flavor of sauce...... I like to mix them together and damn it's like you died and went to heaven The only complaint I have...... no fried okra....... but I can live with that..... but if you ever add it to your menu I am there every day!!!! Veteran owned..... what they do for the community and vets is simply outstanding!!!! Well done guys...... you make this vet proud..... oh and they Cater too..... bonus!!! read more

Nope, nadda, not again.. man brisket was a let down for this Tejas man... New Jersery BBq is better

This place has great food. If you are thinking of having a gathering, you should have them cater it. They do such an amazing job. You will be glad you did. There always so much food for everyone. Highly recommend!! read more

We went to the Mission BBQ in Dover, MD on our vacation and had a really good experience. Kristy and Jason both talked with us and were very welcoming. There were plenty of staff in the restaurant, the prices were fair, and the restaurant was very tidy. The food was exceptional, the variety of sauces was fun, and the peach cobbler at the end of the meal was really good! read more

I wish there were half stars. I would rate Mission a 4.5. The food is great. Customer service is always on point. I haven't had a bad thing yet. The only 2 down sides are the greens weren't as great as I had been told (they were good but people were raving about them) and I wish the menu would have a few surprise items on the menu i.e. sausages or a burger one weekend a month. Love you guys and the food. read more

Know this before you go in that it's a order and grab type of restaurant. Then you seat yourself. Inside the vibe is great. All you see is support for military, police enforcement, fire fighters etc. I ended up ordering at lunch the meat platter, which I picked pulled pork, chicken, and brisket the lean cut. I would review all 6 sauces for you on the table but they are all good. I would tell you the Kansas City one is my favorite has a nice kick but a solid BBQ after taste. The meats were all so moist to. Brisket you didn't need a knife for because it was already falling apart on your fork. Pulled pork I thought was very good. But the chicken I thought was the best. Was so moist and had a rub that had a very nice kick. I came in during lunch time, which it was still busy but during dinner time it's nearly impossible to find a table. Definitely great place to grab some BBQ. read more

This was very good. the baby backs were fall off the bone. The mac and Cheese was cheesy gooey good. The string beans with bacon took me back to my grandmothers farm. I will definitely be back. read more

This is a new business in the area, the staff were friendly. I visited approximately 4pm, and ordered a two meat dinner to go which was smoked brisket, pulled chicken, baked beans, Mac/cheese, corn bread. My dish was reasonably priced at about thirteen dollars. The food was delicious, and portions sizes were fair. I will be back, and would recommend this establishment to friends and family. read more
