Has a lil touch of Vietnam. Loved the pho, there are a few options and I plan to try them all. Overall, I loved the food There's also a little garden that caught may attention with natural real tropical plants.
Take out order arrived within 20 minutes, still hot. The portion was generous & delicious. Will definitely order again! Happy Yelping!
It's nice to have a pho option far north on the UWS. We had a wonderful experience at Miss Saigon, and I cannot wait to return. We were really surprised to find out that the restaurant has a prix fixe menu for $19.99. Even though we did not ask, the manager (or maybe the owner) let us know that he was flexible with including some menu items that were not on the prix fixe menu. The seafood curry pho, which had a generous serving of various seafood items, really hit the spot on a cold, rainy evening. I cannot wait to go back.
I didn't know what to expect after reading the reviews beforehand (which is something I do before going to any restaurant). 5 stars hands down. Great service! Everyone was super attentive, checked in every few minutes for water refills and how we were liking our food. Lots of smiles and positivity. The food does not taste like the other hundreds Vietnamese restaurant that I've been to, it has like a special touch to it. I can't explain. You just have to try it yourself. It was yummmmmmy! We did the $19.99 prefix menu and it was yummy. Pretty amazing price for a 3 course meal. We were full after the entree so we decided to take the cheesecake home! We will be coming again!!!!!!
Miss Saigon took over for Uncle Louyang's which never seemed to recover from a bad gas connection pre-pandemic. Miss Saigon seemed to have figured out a fix and is doling out delicious food using the same seasoned grill. The food is great and I often find myself justifying that it isn't odd to order lunch from the same place more than 2-3 times per week. They offer pretty affordable lunch specials which include a soda or water. The regular entrees are enough for a hungry appetite or for sharing. The place is clean and smartly decorated; the service is friendly and quick. Miss Saigon is a sure bet and one of the better options in the area if you're looking to congregate. Their dumplings alone beat out any nearby competitors. I'd love to see how they fare once Saiguette is back in business but for now they rule this side of Amsterdam!
I've been here a number of times. The staff is always very pleasant. I have noticed that its mostly non-asian people who are dining here. The food isn't bad but its definitely not authentic. Pho broth should be clear and taste like spices, not just soup stock. Its satisfying enough when I'm craving pho but I'm still looking for the best pho spot. I do appreciate that it feels chill here. Never too crowded, generally quiet. Its a nice place to eat alone or with others.
We ended up here because Banh was closed for the holidays, but it actually turned out to be a good thing. I was pleasantly surprised by the pho bo here. I was a little worried in the beginning since there weren't many people in the restaurant when we showed up, but it began to fill quickly. The service was pretty attentive, and we had some warm soup and noodles on a chilly, rainy day. There was one small thing though--they didn't have soup spoons, which I thought was weird..and it was a little inconvenient for drinking the soup. But not a biggest deal. Overall, I thought it was well worth the accidental visit! I don't know if I'd make a specific trip out here for Miss Saigon, but I would definitely come back if I were in the area.
Hidden gem! It's no secret NY vietnamese food is just...okay, especially as someone from California. Imagine my surprise when I found this place. They have $9.95 lunch specials every day until 3:30pm, which is unheard of in NY. I ordered the pho bo and the grilled pork chop lunch specials. The beef pho was pretty good, tasted authentic. The real star was the grilled pork chop - marinated perfectly well and very tasty. Is this the best Vietnamese food I have had in my life? No, but you can't expect that in NY. However, was it delicious, fast, and amazing deal in NY? Heck yes, and that why it deserves 5 stars. Highly recommended
Yummy! What I got was really good: the curry chicken noodles ($12.95). I saw the pho broth pictures and was not attracted to it. Would come here for lunch over dinner unless they make the dinner size more differentiable compared to lunch.
A no-frills neighborhood gem! Only took one photo as I just dug right in. Had the beef pho which was nothing remarkable, but sometimes that is just what pho bo needs to be - simple, beefy, hearty, fragrant. Perfectly cooked rice noodles. Wish they served it with lime instead of lemon though, but overall very satisfying! And affordable. My friend had the prix fixe (great deal at $19.95 by the way, includes app, entree and dessert) and the grilled pork chop was superb. Adequately sweet, very tender and flavorful. I used to trek to Queens to find a Vietnamese pork chop as good as this, happy to save that hour journey. The prix fixe spring roll was disappointing though (very doughy, not enough filling) but they might be serving a different kind of spring roll a la carte. Service is friendly. Place is spacious and haven't seen it crowded .. yet ? (As much as I want to keep this place a secret, I do want them to thrive!) In case you plan to wine with your meal, there aren't many beverage options. I've enjoyed many trendy, modern pho shops but nothing really satisfies my Vietnamese food cravings like classic and authentic Vietnamese cooking. Thankful for a Miss Saigon.
The fried rice is good and very reasonably priced. I generally don't like Vietnamese foods but this restaurant is great. They don't have too many customers when I visited and I think they definitely need more attentions
The soup is so delicious!! And the customer service is nice. A little bit salty for me and I drink a lot of water afterwards, maybe less salt /MSG is better.

Stumbled on this place after seeing that Banh doesn't open until 6. Came for a very early dinner and there really wasn't anyone there. I thought it was a bit weird looking at their menu that there was also Thai food on there as well, but anyways. - Drunken Noodles - This was actually really surprisingly good, I liked this better than the pho. I appreciated the thick cut noodles that were full of flavor and the amount of beef (which was very tender) they had in here. I will say that the dish was quite spicy, especially the green peppers. - Pho (Beef) - Not bad for pho, but also not the best. The soup had a kind of grainy texture which was weird, but I appreciate that they already gave the two sauces to dip the noodles and the not so tender beef in it. I wish that they had used the beef from the drunken noodles into this dish to be honest. Overall, still would prefer Banh over this place but not the worst place to get food especially if you're hungry and in the area. read more
while quite alarming that they have a health code rating of C, my dining experience at this establishment was quite pleasant. The restaurant was not busy at the time, and my party, and I opted for the lunch special. The service was quite fast and attentive, and the spring rolls were really really good like to die for. It really rival that of neighboring Banh, which is my favorite and go to Vietnamese spot in the area. however, I would have to say that the thought of this restaurant is not as good as that of other places still, the lunch special is a steal, and I would come back for that probably if the health code lives up to higher standards. Ha ha ha. read more

I ordered delivery and it was quick. It took only 30 min for it to arrive. I ordered: -#3 Vietnamese spring roll- this was good -#25 beef noodle soup- I would consider this their basic pho. I prefer a more concentrated broth but this was okay. -#B2 banh mi with grilled pork- the bread was very soft and the meat was really well marinated -#S1 Saigon country chicken- this was good Can't wait to try other things on their menu. Everything had lots of flavor. Also they threw in two free sodas which was nice. I'm glad another Vietnamese restaurant made it to the neighborhood. read more

*response to owner: the picture I included is the full portion I received. I did not eat any before I snapped the photo. Just presenting the facts. Ordered the lunch special bun, and I have to say I was not impressed. It's a pet peeve when businesses use packaging to manipulate the appearance of their food to look like there is more when actually there isn't. At Miss Saigon, they use the box divider to prop up the food so it looks like you get a lot but you don't. I was still semi hungry afterwards so I guess these lunch orders could be good for someone interested in portion control. When I order bun at other places, you typically get a spring roll, more fresh cut veggies, different kinds of meats, and more bean sprouts. I found the portion and presentation to be lacking but the beef was ok. I would not reorder this. read more

It was love at first sight. First of all Michael and the rest of his crew are an absolute dream. They make me feel so at home, are so attentive, caring, and very funny. A lovely, quiet, relaxing atmosphere. I literally have no words. They never dissapoint me with their Beef Pho and mixed veggies with chili and basil...PERFECTION. They're S4. Bo Luc Lac (Vietnamese steak cubes)....PERFECTION. The ambiance, the food, the hospitality from the crew....I LOVE MISS SAIGON. Sometimes i wake up smelling their food lol. And i would like to add that you get nice and full off of their food but without feeling extremely full, sluggish and tired. It's like their food is made for the soul lol. Perfect and fresh! Thank you for everything Miss Saigon, you always help me relax from this hectic time we are in. read more

Lovely new addition to the UWS! Very friendly and welcoming staff, and the food is phenomenal! We tried the Pho Ga, the lemongrass beef bahn mi, and the chicken sticks and the flavor was on point for everything. So glad there's a new option for delicious Vietnamese food in the area! read more

In my opinion, I feel as though this place is amazing. I came at the right time and got this booth with my S/O that was raised and it was a little cut off from other sections so it feels like we were being served among the clouds. The food came out looking like it was professionally prepared, displayed in such an amazing fashion. It tasted well. The pork chop dish was phenomenal, but the spicy chicken was okay. Upon going to the bathroom I was shocked to see how clean and organized it was along with the texture/design of it. The overall cleanliness and appearance of the place was incredible. I didn't see a single seat/booth with a tear or stain on its fabric. The flooring job didn't have cracks or damage. The gentleman and the young lady serving us were exceptionally nice and guiding. I would love to go on about many other things but I dont want to make a story time for someone to go to bed to. Overall, this visit was amazing and I really hope to come back or at least find contact to reach out to owner/workers to talk more about this! -Austin read more

Taste good! My friend and I like spicy pad Thai but the sauce is not that spicy. We asked more spicy sauce and the waitress served us with different types of chili and they tasted really good. The grilled pork is kinda sweet. read more

A good bowl of pho can do wonders for your life, I ordered the pho ga nuong from Miss Saigon for dinner at work and it was delicious! I always love when Vietnamese restaurants can serve good take out pho, the broth was hot, the noodles were fresh and the separate toppings were much appreciated. The cilantro took the traditional chicken pho broth to another level. Definitely give this dish a try if you can. read more
