Bun Bo Hue and Thai Tea
Patrick Z.

What a lovely meal I actually devoured this. Got the Bun Bo Hue and the broth was magical. Loved the thicker noodles too. The brisket was super tender and everything overall just was perfect. The cold wind outside made this taste extra good too like mmmmmm. Also got a thai tea which was much more concentrated in flavor than other thai teas ive had which I thought was wild. Like a flavor explosion yum.

DELICIOUS bahn mi and amazing service! It was so cute inside and every single thing on the menu looked delectable. I loved how cozy and intimate the place was. Food came out fast and was really fresh, and the staff were so so kind. They gave us free dessert for leaving a google review, but I liked the food so much that I wanted to leave them a review on Yelp as well (and they gave us a HEFTY portion of tiramisu for the google review!) They deserve all the praise and I'll definitely be a regular here!

Vegan Banh Mi (tofu) and vegan summer rolls
Ibis R.

We came here to get a vegan Banh Mi (with tofu and no mayo), Vegan Pho, and summer rolls. We also ordered a pomegranate lemonade and blood orange tea. Everything tasted fresh and good. There isn't much seating inside, only about 6 little tables that more comfortably sit 2 people per table. The workers were nice about making our food vegan and it came out really fast; I don't think they were very busy when we came though. Overall, everything was good and I would return.

Two Wheels Ph - 1 meat

In truth, this was 3 1/2 star experience but there are a few minor changes that could make it 5. First, the food is delicious. I throughly enjoyed each bite and the service was good. For improvements: the menu price outside is less than the one inside, I would Just remove the outside menu until it's updated. The pho very good, but I would Present the meat at the top of the dish to see how much is there. It seemed like there wasn't much but hard to tell. Chili oil is extra, totally fine! But I recommend upselling that at the sale so the customer doesn't have to get up and ask and do another transaction. I think over all this is a great lunch spot, and everything is reasonable but small Improvements could really increase the overall experience.

Signature Bahn Mi w/ Pork
Kat C.

A casual Vietnamese spot with some delicious food! Stopped by Two Wheels for a quick bite, and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious everything was! I ordered the Signature Bahn Mi with chargrilled pork. I absolutely loved how it was filled to the brim with pork, and the fact that the pork itself had a delicious charred flavor. While some bits were a little on the dry side, overall it was a solid bahn mi! I would definitely visit again if I'm in the area and looking for a quick bite.

Beef Pho, Thai Iced Tea

Being the first person in before the rush was not a bad first impression. For the price of everything it was totally worth every penny but there are definitely cheaper spots in NYC. This spot just so happens to be across the street from my job! Loved all of my meal and plan to be back again!!

Cut little spot. Seats approximately 12

Quick service and friendly staff. Small space, on the same size as the nearby restaurants. My pho was yummy and hit the spot. If you eat in, take note at least in the evening, lots of delivery guys in and out, so pretty popular with the neighborhood at least in that respect.

I went out with a group of my friends a few Saturdays ago in this part of the city and since it was raining that day, we just went with the option closest to where we were. As someone who grew up eating Viet food, I feel like you can never go wrong with it but apparently, you can certainly come close. I can tell this place was definitely not Viet-owned (which does not matter to me at all as long as the food is good). I really liked that there was a kiosk on the side for easy ordering and the variety of drink options available (they even have Asian beer and my favorite Sanzo sparkling water). The food was not authentic but was decent. According to my friends, the banh mi appears to be a better option compared to the other choices. I personally got the bun, which is a vermicelli dish with fresh vegetables (my go-to dish for the summer seasons but I was craving this since I had just returned to wintry NYC from the warm Texas weather), and the Thai iced tea. The bun was mediocre at best with overcooked vermicelli (strands upon strands of noodles snapped as soon I picked it up - typically, you're supposed to run the cooked bun tuoi (vermicelli) under cold water to maintain its springy texture (and to avoid them from clumping together) but judging by how warm the noodles were and the snap-ability of it, this step either never took place or took place way too long ago). The grape tomatoes were also not ripe - in fact, I don't even know what they were doing on top of my bun since it's not normally used as a garnish for this dish. I was also surprised that for a powdered drink, the Thai iced tea lacked sweetness (and this is coming from someone with no sweet tooth - I am absolutely not much of a sweets person and my other reviews will back this up). I cannot comment on my friends' food other than "okay" as described by them since I haven't had any of their food except for the fries - which were dry but the flavor was there. However I must say, the prices for the food were fair. The customer service is in serious need of improvement. Despite this restaurant being a small, casual, no frills place, we took into account that we were coming in as a group and even with separate bills, we all tipped generously. We were ignored by the staff (two ladies (not the proper term for these beings but let's just roll with it) - Chinese and African American) working at the register on multiple occasions. We all purchased drinks here but for some of us who have already finished their drinks or just needed some water to wash down the food, repeatedly asked the staff for a cup water that never came even after we were all done eating and walking out the door (I bring a water bottle with me whenever I go so I was not affected). One of my guy friends even got up and offered to bring the water out from the kitchen if they were too busy (my friends and I are nurses, so we are all too familiar with the term "busy"). The displays of unprofessionalism continued as these two girls went on to engage in a heated verbal argument with a couple of other customers (wow, lunch AND a show) and we're not the only ones seeing this - the tables on the ends were also witnessing this (one guy even pulled out his phone). This was a truly unforgettable experience and despite all, my friends didn't discredit me for bringing them here. Luckily, they still continue to trust me as the foodie of the group and I've decided that I'll just make group reservations for us at more reputable places from now on to avoid fiascos like this.

The food always arrives hot, is always well packaged and tasty. My personal go to is the SHAKING BEEF Bo Luc Lac Stir fried Angus steak cube) bun. It is served Served w. Side Salad & Nuoc Cham: (Romaine, Cucumber, Pickled Mustard, Grape Tomatoes, Carrots & Daikon). I appreciate the choice of Vermicelli rice noodle, Thai Jasmine rice or Solely Salad. I always choose rice and the packaging is amazing, the beef is kept seperate from the rice and arrives hot and aromatic. My mom also loves this dish but ordered it with the solely salad and opts for double veggies. We have also tried several of the bahn mini including the lemongrass chicken, the brisket and the braised short rib. All are tasty. I do recommend adding the dip for $1 as it really takes it to the next level! I ordered the lychee iced tea sweetened today. It was sweet but not too sweet which I appreciated and as with everything from 5ive spice very thoughtfully packaged in a way that there is no leaking in transit. 5ive spice has some great all day and happy hour specials, I look forward to trying their food in person when I am in the area. Customer service: One time, on a particularly busy weekend in NYC, I received the wrong bahn mi sandwich. I ordered the brisket bahn mi and received the lemongrass chicken. When I called 5ive Spice, I spoke to the manager John who was incredibly apologetic and explained it was a very busy night, without offering excuses. He offered a full refund and invited me to order again and call and he would include a complimentary bahn mi. For what it's worth, it was a very busy night in NYC, all of the restaurants we were trying to get take out or delivery from were quoting 2+ hours, and John handled the situation perfectly. The food we received was tasty and did arrive on time.

I got the pho ($21.78), which is steep for pho, but I guess that's Midtown prices for you. The wait was a slog--over 20 minutes for a bowl of pho, which other Yelp reviews warned about. When it finally arrived, the soup lacked that authentic pho aroma, which was a letdown. On the plus side, the beef was fresh, and the reusable to-go bag was a nice touch. Decent, but the wait and price make it hard to love. Might try again if they speed things up.

After waiting 30 minutes, for what is literally the simplest item on the menu, the bowl is brought out and it's a bowl of broth with a couple slices of chicken. No noodles. When I inquired, the server told me it's because I ordered the Plain Pho... yea and I said it comes with noodles and broth. They told me they could get me noodles, but acted like they were doing me a favor by fetching noodles for me, which was quite offputting because the noodles were quite literally half of the dish I actually ordered. How does one wait half-an-hour at a very casual fast Vietnamese food place, for premade soup and noodles, and still have the order wrong? In the end, I did get my noodles and broth, but the fact that I had to spend this much time and also justify my request for noodles (which are part of the dish) is quite insane. I put this at 2 stars for now, because I enjoyed my first time. Hopefully the service will improve.
