Wanted pho so ordered the number 26: ox pho. Apparently they didn't have rare or well done beef pho. Since it's ox bo, it is a bit thicker and gooey chewy. That's ok. Noodles are good. Broth is okay, not a strong flavor. When getting delivery, I got one basil leaf and a few bean sprouts so make sure to ask for more. Also, I got a lemon wedge and not lime which is normally for pho. The steamer dumplings are ok, a bit doughy tasting.

This is a good place to go if you want a quiet place to sit and enjoy decently priced Chinese food on the middle of a Saturday. We ordered 3 summer rolls, the cucumber salad, and vegetarian fried rice. ($18 in total). You order your food at the counter and pay, then sit to wait for the food to be delivered to your table. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was fresh. The cucumber salad was a bit small, but yummy. The rice was flavorful and had a great variety of vegetables. And the summer rolls were just so-so as they were mostly filled with noodles and not very many veggies (and 2 shrimp each). There are no water cups but you can buy a bottle of water for $1. The restroom had running water and a working toilet, but that's about it. The woman who took our order and delivered the food was quiet but kind. 3/5 stars because of the bathroom situation, smaller portioned cucumber salad, and so-so summer rolls. Other than that, we enjoyed this place. The rice was great!

BYOB. Pho. Cha Gio. Very happy to see this new Vietnamese dining option in the neighborhood. This place used to be Chinese take-out, but has reopened with a new name, menu and decor. I called up and asked if they have wine. Not yet. But would they allow a BYOB? Sure, no problem. The seating area is inviting with black tables, a pretty chandelier and an enthusiastic waiter who will take your order at a table for dine in or the counter for take out My husband and I brought our own corkscrew and we were presented with large water-glasses for the wine. The menu is a mix of Vietnamese standards - Bun, La Sa Ga and Pho mixed in with some Thai and various Americanized Chinese dishes. I ordered the Pho and was overall happy. The broth was not that developed or rich (you know the good stuff with roasted bones and a shimmer of fat on top) but it was was flavorful, with all of the right spices. The serving size was huge, with basil, bean sprouts, hoisin and siracha on the side. The raw beef on top cooked slowly in the broth when it was presented to the table, as it should. I found it to be tender and flavorful. The Cha Gio was nice and crispy, served with lettuce for wrapping. My husband got Noodles, #55, hot and spicy curry broth. It was very spicy (hot) and delicious with huge shrimp. Our bill: ~$20. (You can't get a snack and two glasses of wine across the street for less than $30). But I guess you pay for ambiance hence. . . the gripe: there were several MTA workers who just got off work and came to get some dinner. They were pretty loud and foul-mouthed until my husband gave them a look. They work a 16 hour day and need a place to have some grub- I get it, but seriously, this place is not serving chicken wings in Styrofoam as was the previous tenant so basic manners are in order.

Sesame chicken - good flavor, crispy, but a bit too much "filler"

Not bad for quick take out. $8.5 for lunch combo which includes a main dish AND white rice OR fried rice AND egg drop soup OR egg roll OR soda. Sesame chicken is pretty much my go to. Crispy but a bit too much "filler". Egg drop soup is pretty much what you would expect.

I've been ordering from Spice Noodle for 10 years now and the food has been consistent. The lunch specials are a great deal and large portions. Love the Bun Xao and the Sesame Chicken.

This is the Goi Cuon Tom - Shrimp Summer Roll.. do you see any shrimp? It's all noodles and some lettuce. Avoid

Solidly ok place for take out. I work nearby and they deliver very quickly. The lunch special is the best deal and I've never really been disappointed. It's nothing I'd go out of the way for though. As far as the Vietnamese options, this is NOT a Vietnamese restaurant and id stay away from the pho or other Vietnamese dishes if you are looking for authenticity. I also recommend staying away from the summer rolls, they are poorly wrapped and always rip. Hardly any shrimp in it either.

Mango chicken with white rice from the lunch special with $7.25.

The food always arrives hot, is always well packaged and tasty. My personal go to is the SHAKING BEEF Bo Luc Lac Stir fried Angus steak cube) bun. It is served Served w. Side Salad & Nuoc Cham: (Romaine, Cucumber, Pickled Mustard, Grape Tomatoes, Carrots & Daikon). I appreciate the choice of Vermicelli rice noodle, Thai Jasmine rice or Solely Salad. I always choose rice and the packaging is amazing, the beef is kept seperate from the rice and arrives hot and aromatic. My mom also loves this dish but ordered it with the solely salad and opts for double veggies. We have also tried several of the bahn mini including the lemongrass chicken, the brisket and the braised short rib. All are tasty. I do recommend adding the dip for $1 as it really takes it to the next level! I ordered the lychee iced tea sweetened today. It was sweet but not too sweet which I appreciated and as with everything from 5ive spice very thoughtfully packaged in a way that there is no leaking in transit. 5ive spice has some great all day and happy hour specials, I look forward to trying their food in person when I am in the area. Customer service: One time, on a particularly busy weekend in NYC, I received the wrong bahn mi sandwich. I ordered the brisket bahn mi and received the lemongrass chicken. When I called 5ive Spice, I spoke to the manager John who was incredibly apologetic and explained it was a very busy night, without offering excuses. He offered a full refund and invited me to order again and call and he would include a complimentary bahn mi. For what it's worth, it was a very busy night in NYC, all of the restaurants we were trying to get take out or delivery from were quoting 2+ hours, and John handled the situation perfectly. The food we received was tasty and did arrive on time.

I got the pho ($21.78), which is steep for pho, but I guess that's Midtown prices for you. The wait was a slog--over 20 minutes for a bowl of pho, which other Yelp reviews warned about. When it finally arrived, the soup lacked that authentic pho aroma, which was a letdown. On the plus side, the beef was fresh, and the reusable to-go bag was a nice touch. I ordered "Plain Pho", which is described as just broth and noodles, no garnish or meat. After waiting 30 minutes, for what is literally the simplest item on the menu, the bowl is brought out and it's a bowl of broth with a couple slices of chicken. No noodles. When I inquired, the server told me it's because I ordered the Plain Pho... yea and I said it comes with noodles and broth. They told me they could get me noodles, but acted like they were doing me a favor by fetching noodles for me, which was quite offputting because the noodles were quite literally half of the dish I actually ordered. How does one wait half-an-hour at a very casual fast Vietnamese food place, for premade soup and noodles, and still have the order wrong? In the end, I did get my noodles and broth, but the fact that I had to spend this much time and also justify my request for noodles (which are part of the dish) is quite insane. I put this at 2 stars for now, because I enjoyed my first time. Hopefully the service will improve.
