We ordered directly from the website instead of using a 3rd party delivery service, as other Yelpers have said the prices are a few dollars cheaper on their website and they throw in a free order of general Tsos chicken on purchase of $45+ We HIGHLY recommend the scallion pancakes, very crispy and flavorful and comes with an also flavorful sauce The spring rolls were also good but the scallion pancake was better if you're torn between the two. The Tofu with mixed vegetables was also very tasty, a good portion of vegetables and tofu. The beef fried rice was good,my bf liked it a lot, it has a good smoky flavor, but I would prefer if it had more vegetables. The only dish that was a miss was the egg drop soup. Thanks to Yelp, I found this new takeout place right by my sons apartment. Solid Chinese food on The Upper West Side. Order online or at the kiosk inside. A couple of small tables if you want to eat in but it's mostly takeout. Located on 89th and Amsterdam. This is a small family owned place with friendly service, good food and reasonable prices. Ordered a quart of Wonton Soup and it was packed with delicious wontons and a nice broth. Seafood Combination was a nice sample of Shrimp, Scallops, and crab in a light white sauce with a lot of fresh vegetables. The dish was huge and easily shareable. First time ordering from Dragon 89 and I like it! They have their own online order page so I can avoid the gouging that Grubhub does on the price of every item. General Tso's is a whole $2 more on Grubhub than on Dragon 89's website. And they take Apple Pay. Not only is it cheaper, the portions are larger than my regular Chinese spot. It seemed like my Beef & Broccoli was becoming Broccoli, a little bit of Beef, & More Broccoli. I get all the standard dishes plus some new ones. The broth in the Wonton Soup is decent, and the Beef & Broccoli didn't have any gristly bits. It was perfect. Delivery was fast and my order was piping hot. Food is fresh and taste amazing but the portions are very very small. My two year old ate a chicken and broccoli order with white rice on his own. It cost $9.25 for it and he literally ate it alone. Five stars all around for the high quality of food, the flavors, the speed of preparation, the people who work there, the cleanliness, the low prices, etc. The serving sizes are HUGE... my husband got the Kung Pow Chicken (he ate half then ended up eating the other half late night) and I got the Moo Shu vegetables. I had the sesame chicken platter when i first got into the city early October. It was horrible. First of all, they forgot my beverage that I paid for and did not place it in my to go bag.
